• In the file list and in Explorer every type has its own icon. Word documents, Excel sheets, presentations, PDFs, Pages, Numbers and Keynote files, ebooks and archives all shared one icon, so the only way to tell them apart was reading the name: now they take the icon the system associates with their extension, just like Finder. Markdown notes stay recognisable with their coloured symbol, and code files keep the symbols that tell their family. • Links inside a table now open in Live mode too. They used to work only in Reading, so opening a linked note from an index meant switching modes. Both Markdown links and wikilinks work, with their anchor if they have one. • In the Word document preview, header and footer entries are back where they belong. In files produced by some generators, entries aligned right or centre were all crammed to the left, even though the same document opened in Word, Pages or LibreOffice looked right. • And the Word document no longer jumps when it opens: the page used to appear laid out to the left, and half a second later the text snapped into place, with header and footer entries shifting before your eyes. Now it appears once it is settled.

• Fixed a data loss: a file open in the app and changed from outside twice stopped reloading, and from then on saving would write the old version over the new one. Now every external change comes through, and the tab stays clean until you type. The long-standing protection is unchanged: if you have unsaved edits the file is never reloaded underneath you. • Exporting and duplicating are one window. The File menu has "Export as" with HTML, PDF and DOCX (⇧⌘E, ⇧⌘P and now ⇧⌘D): formats sit in tabs, and below them only the options of the one you picked. The document title is now available for all three formats, not just DOCX, and "Include properties" shows for HTML too. • The Settings window is rebuilt. Sections live in a sidebar instead of tabs, and the size no longer changes from one panel to the next, so the window stops jumping at every click. Inside, every option is a row with its explanation below. • Reopening the app takes you back to the vault you were working in, not always the main one. The main vault stays the one you pick in Settings, and the arrow button brings you back to it. • Imported mail conversations read better. Tables inside quotes now render in Live too, with the quote bar on the left: they used to stay raw code, and corporate signatures are almost always tables. Outlook signatures no longer break links across three lines, its lists no longer arrive spaced out, and the invisible characters mail carries over from the web no longer show as dots mid-sentence. • Dragging a file into a note inserts a standard Markdown link instead of a wikilink. Wikilinks are still there, and you can switch back in Settings. • The Properties block is fully keyboard-driven. Tab now reaches "Add property" and the tag "+", and landing on a value opens its field straight away, so you can fill in a note without touching the mouse. Opening a field no longer nudges the rows below it, and Esc no longer rings the system bell. • Also fixed: PHP code blocks without the opening marker now colour in every view, .config files are recognised by content (Elastic Beanstalk's are YAML, not XML), code inside a sentence exported with a Word theme uses the theme's monospaced face, and the escape backslash no longer shows in Live.

• DOCX export learns themes (Pro): pick any regular .docx or .dotx — made in Word by you or your designer — and the produced document inherits all of it: typefaces and colours, header with logo, footer with page number, margins and embedded fonts. If the template contains placeholders like {{client}}, the window lists them prefilled from the note's properties, ready to tweak; empty ones vanish from the output. It works with anyone's templates, in any Word language: styles are matched by name, and missing ones are derived from the template itself. You also choose the document title: none, the file name, or the note's first heading promoted to a large title. • The Structure panel now reads code, data and configuration files too, in thirty-two languages: classes and functions with their signature, JSON and YAML keys with their value, tables and columns in SQL scripts — MySQL dumps included, even tens of megabytes. One click jumps to the line. And JSON, lockfiles, dotfiles, .htaccess and Web.config get the colours they were missing. • Calendar events can span several days (Pro): continuous bands across Week, Month and Year, drawn by dragging with the mouse, across days too. And the calendar exports to CSV or XLSX over a date range, with real dates Excel recognises and the duration in hours already computed. • Headings underlined with === or --- finally show as the headings they are, in Live and in the document Structure. In code files line numbers appear in Reading too, and word wrap and autosave start off, with a memory separate from notes. • The file list gains a name filter that ignores accents and shows the size next to the date. Tab travels the whole window in a sensible order, vault switcher included, and ⌘S saves the note in front of you instead of every open one. • Fixed: images in DOCX stopping at 75% of the column, links going dead after returning from another tab, imported mail with screenshots in the body ending up among the attachments, and Word lock files showing in the list as broken documents.

• New Vault for secrets: passwords and sensitive data kept inside your vault, encrypted, in a dedicated window (⇧⌘L). Each entry has a kind — login, SSH key, API credentials, server, database, licence, credit card — which gives it its own icon in the list and its typical fields ready to fill, and it can be tied to a note, a project or the vault itself. Fields are typed: text, masked password, email, URL, date and long notes, plus hidden text for private keys, which stays covered until you reveal it. A note that holds secrets shows it in its toolbar. Unlock with the master password or Touch ID; it locks itself again after a while, or when your Mac sleeps. The master password is never stored and the encryption is macOS-native only. • Dragging a message from Mail into your vault now brings the real thing: the body keeps links, bold, lists and tables instead of flattening into plain text, and attachments are saved into the vault and linked. Inline images land back where they were in the message. • Vault folders can take an icon of your choice from the 7,000-plus system symbols, picked in a window with suggestions, search, and the symbols you already use elsewhere in the vault. • Zip archives can be looked into without extracting: select one and you get the full listing, path and size entry by entry. "Extract…" unpacks into a subfolder next to the archive, Finder-style deduplicated, with progress and cancel. • A note now exports and duplicates as DOCX too: real OOXML with named styles, so whoever receives it can restyle it in Word, Pages or LibreOffice. The three "Duplicate as" entries (HTML, PDF, DOCX) become a single window with a format picker. • The note list groups by month instead of dumping everything into "Older", and in Reading code blocks with no declared language now wrap instead of scrolling sideways: they are often notes rather than code. • Fixed line numbers in Live falling out of register with the text they number next to code blocks and headings, the more so the wider your line spacing. And the "Attach file" picker, which on a large vault could freeze the app for almost a minute.

• Source view is now colour-coded: headings, links, quotes, bold and italic each have their own colour, markers stay dimmed, code blocks get a subtle backdrop and the frontmatter is greyed out. LaTeX formulas and Mermaid blocks are highlighted too — Mermaid for every diagram type, including ones added in the future. • Links in Live open on click, just like in Reading: Markdown links, bare URLs and wikilinks. On the line you are editing a click still places the caret, and ⌘-click always opens. • Duplicate a note as HTML or PDF inside your vault: right-click a file in the sidebar and the copy appears next to the original, even if the file is not open. For PDF you pick orientation, zoom and whether to include properties. If the name already exists a suffix is added, Finder-style: nothing is ever overwritten. • PDF export has been rebuilt. Lines could be cut in half between pages, some pages were left almost empty and diagrams took up a whole sheet. It is now paginated by the same engine that prints from Safari: 12pt text, code-block and callout backgrounds finally printed, long code lines wrapping instead of being clipped, diagrams at their own size. • Code blocks in Live now look like they do in Obsidian: the fence markers disappear, leaving an empty line, and the language shows in the top right corner. This also fixes notes packed with code blocks that could not be scrolled all the way down, stalling about two thirds in. • Fixed Mermaid diagrams that came out different between Live and Reading when you changed line spacing, edge labels clipped at the borders, and two consecutive tables touching each other in Reading and in the PDF.

• Share a file without going through the Finder: the context menu of a file — in the Explorer and in the note list — now has a "Share" item with the system destinations. Pick Mail and a new message opens with the file already attached: handy for PDFs and Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. • Explorer: clicking a folder now opens it and shows its contents, subfolders and files, with no need to aim for the disclosure arrow. Arrow keys still navigate without expanding. • Switching between Live and Source (and back) keeps you on the line you were writing: the position could previously jump by dozens of lines. • In Live with line numbers on, text is no longer too far from the margin. • Fixed the selection highlight flickering onto the first subfolder when expanding a folder in the Explorer.

• Live mode, perfected: writing in Live now looks like Reading. KaTeX formulas (inline and block), tables, Mermaid diagrams, images — including Obsidian-style ![[images]] — and wikilinks render as you type. • Source only where you need it: raw Markdown appears only on the element your cursor touches, no longer on the whole line. Bold, italics, links and highlights stay formatted around you. • Blocks that never disappear: formulas, tables and diagrams stay visible while you edit them — the source opens above, with the preview below updating in real time. A ‹/› button on each element opens and closes the source with the mouse too. • Sources you can tell at a glance: formulas in purple, tables in blue, Mermaid in green, on a dedicated band distinct from code blocks. • Cleaner code blocks in Live: the ``` delimiters hide and the language shows as a label, like in Reading; they reappear when the caret enters. • Export a Mermaid diagram as an image (Pro) now from Live mode too, right-clicking the rendered diagram. • Rock-solid keyboard navigation on notes full of formulas and diagrams: the caret moves line by line, no jumps. • Attach file, renewed: with a vault open, the Attach File button (the paperclip) opens a search panel over your vault files — the current note's project first, with note previews and multi-selection — and inserts the right links, images included. The Finder panel remains for external files. • A more reliable Properties block: no more blinking caret next to the panel, selections no longer capture the hidden properties, the date calendar follows scrolling, and the formatting toolbar disables itself while you edit properties. • Built-in guides cleaned up, and Live styles aligned with Reading (callouts, block spacing).

• CSV files as a native table (Pro): .csv and .tsv files open in a native table (the new Table mode replaces Reading), with automatic detection of delimiter, header and encoding, adjustable from a Properties panel. Search inside the file, selectable and copyable cells. It stays fluid on huge files (a 160 MB CSV, 64k rows, hundreds of columns) and opens instantly, without loading it into memory. • Linked folders (Pro): a marker file links a folder outside the vault, even on another disk or a network share, and you browse it read-only inside the vault. The target is excluded from search and indexes; access is persistent, with clear states in the sidebar (active, volume unmounted, needs re-authorization). • Export a Mermaid diagram as an image (Pro): right-click a rendered diagram and save it as SVG or PNG, at the size you want, into a vault folder. And Mermaid diagrams now rasterize faithfully (via WebKit): the milestone diamonds in Gantt charts no longer disappear from PNG and preview. • Search the whole vault, refined (Pro): "Open in editor" and double-click take the file to the matched line in the right mode (Live, Source, or Table for CSVs); files too large for the index stay searchable by name; the search field takes focus right away. • Save with ⌘S in the vault: the native "Save" and ⌘S now save every modified tab, CSV tables included. Before, ⌘S in the vault just beeped. • Clearer Calendar notifications (Pro): an event's alert now also shows the vault and project, alongside the time and description. • Timeline menu item (⇧⌘T, Pro), previously reachable only from the toolbar. • More readable code-file export: exporting code or text to HTML or PDF now produces a clean listing, with no box; long lines wrap and the PDF no longer clips them or adds a blank first page.

• Activity Calendar (Pro): a dedicated Calendar window with Month, Week and Day views. Events are Markdown notes stored in your vault; create, move and resize them right on the time grid, with a Calendar-style event card and autosave. A navigation mini-calendar and system notifications for alerts. • Schedule a note from the editor (Pro): from a note's editor bar you create a Calendar event linked to the note, without opening the Calendar. The card opens prefilled (title from the note, calendar inferred from its location in the vault), and a badge on the note counts its linked events. • Search the whole vault (Pro): a dedicated window (⇧⌘F) that finds a string in both file names and contents, with case-sensitive, whole-word and regular-expression options, filters by file type and Finder tag color, and a per-project scope. Results are grouped by file; pick one and the preview jumps to the matched line and highlights it, with line numbers: notes in Live with inline rendering, code files as source. From there you open the note in the workspace. • Import email from Mail (Pro): drag a message from Mail onto the note list or a vault folder and get a Markdown note with sender, recipients, subject, date, body and attachments. If you prefer, it stays a simple link that reopens the message in Mail. Automation consent is granted once and can be revoked any time. • Copy as Plain Text (⌥⇧⌘C): puts only the text on the clipboard, with no formatting or hidden HTML. Handy for pasting into LinkedIn and other fields that collapse paragraphs, where blank lines used to vanish: now they stay in place. It's the rendered text (no # or **), with readable lists and task lists. • Convert images, now from SVG too (Pro): turn an SVG file into PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF at the size you choose, crisp at any scale because it's rasterized from the vector. Also fixed: semi-transparent edges that came out darkened in WebP and AVIF output. • Canvas: clickable links in nodes (they open the linked note or your browser), the file name now sits above the box like in Obsidian, and boxes can be resized from the sides too. • Fixes: folder trees inside code blocks render unbroken again in Reading, macOS packages (.xcodeproj, .app…) are listed as files and open with the system app, and the editor's Properties block now follows the app language.

• Obsidian Canvas (.canvas): open, create and edit visual boards right in the vault, in the same JSON Canvas format as Obsidian. Text nodes in Markdown, nodes that embed a vault file (notes, images, code) with a live preview, groups, edges with arrows and labels, colors, zoom, pan and a snapping grid. Lossless round-trip: a canvas edited here stays compatible with Obsidian. • Automatic link maintenance: when you rename or move a note, an attachment or a whole folder, PL Markdown updates every reference for you, both the links pointing to the file and the outgoing relative links. It also works inside .canvas files. Open notes update in the editor instantly, no closing and reopening. • Configurable attachment location: choose where pasted screenshots and attached files go (a dedicated project or vault folder, next to the note, and more), with a paperclip icon to spot attachment folders. • Code folders out of the index: build and dependency folders (node_modules, __pycache__, target, build…) are skipped by indexing and shown greyed out; with a right-click you manually exclude or include other folders. • Fixes: screenshots captured on a Retina display are no longer shown at twice their size, a highlight of the destination folder during drag and drop, no more HTML tag popup while you write prose in Markdown, and the completion tooltip is readable in dark mode.

• Format document: reformat an entire code file to its language's standard (re-expands lines, normalizes indentation, spacing and quotes), all locally with no network. Covers Python, the full JavaScript/TypeScript/JSON/CSS/HTML web stack, shell, C/C++/Objective-C/C#/Java, Go, SQL, YAML, TOML, Lua, Dart, PHP and more; next to it there's Reindent, which fixes just the indentation in any language. Undoable with ⌘Z. • Create text and code files in the vault: beyond Markdown notes, from the New Note button pick a quick type (shell, JSON, YAML, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift) or enter a name and extension; code files open in Source, ready to edit. • Lighter, faster opening: the editing engine now loads only what the document you open actually needs, so notes and code files open more quickly and use less memory, especially with many tabs open. • Note status in the list: next to a note's type, the list now also shows its status (draft, proposal, in progress…) taken from the properties, so you can see it at a glance without opening it. • Per-type file icons in the list and file explorer, and a vault picker in the "New note in…" sheet. • Fixes, including Undo and Redo from the Edit menu on code files, and the tab row that no longer shifts up when there are too many tabs to fit the width.

• Convert images: from the context menu or the preview, turn a vault image into PNG, JPG, AVIF or WebP. Adjust the quality and, if you want, resize it to a maximum width or height without distorting it. You see the estimated size as you choose; the converted file is saved next to the original, and your last settings are remembered. • Show hidden files: a switch in the View menu (⇧⌘.) and in the toolbar shows or hides hidden files and folders, the ones that start with a dot, greyed out in the list, the tree and the file explorer. • More file types open as text: configuration files like .gitignore, .editorconfig or .env, datasets like jsonl and ndjson, infrastructure files like tf, hcl and nix, web templates and more, now readable and editable in Reading and Source. • Document Info, Image section: when you open an image you see its type, pixel size, DPI, color model, profile and depth, read on the fly without slowing the app down, even on large files. • Undo inserting or editing properties with ⌘Z, right in Live and Source. • Other fixes, including the cursor that flickered on the source editor of HTML files.

• Timeline: a new window with a yearly map of your note activity (created and edited), with filters by activity, year and project; pick a day to see that day's notes. All derived from dates, with no tracking. • Document structure: a new panel shows the note's heading outline. A click scrolls to the section, brings it into view and highlights it, in Reading, Live and Source. • Properties can be edited straight from the Properties block, without switching to the source: click-to-edit values, chips for tags and aliases, a date-picker for dates. You can add, rename, reorder and remove properties. • New "Initialize properties" button: adds a title and dates to the note in one click, no AI. • "Generate properties" now also suggests the note type, guided by a small vocabulary. • Projects panel in the sidebar: filter the folder tree by project, and return to the whole vault with a click. • Paste formatted text copied from a browser, Word or Pages as Markdown; "Paste as Plain Text" (⌘⇧V) when you want the raw text. • Drag or paste files and folders from the Finder to import them into the vault; drag a file into the note to insert a link to it. • Instructions for the agent via AGENT.md files, at the vault and project level. • Previews (images, PDF, Office, HTML) refresh on their own when the file changes on disk, with a Refresh button. • Many more fixes: local images (SVG) in Live, the editor no longer clipped when closing a panel, pasting from emails, and more.

• The workspace has been redesigned: three native macOS columns (folders, file list, editor), with the Agent and Document Info in a side panel. The window shrinks much further than before, and resizing no longer stutters. • The AI Agent panel is here. It reads and edits your notes inside the app and shows a preview of every change before applying it. Beyond Markdown, it now opens PDFs, Office documents, and images. You can assign a different model to each vault. • The Agent shows its reply as it writes and handles long requests without stalling. Large notes are composed in sections and presented for a single final approval, and nothing is written before you hit "Approve." "New chat" stops the current work right away. Added settings for read limits and response length. • Every file can carry a colored Finder tag, visible in the lists too. • Open Terminal straight in the folder of the note you're working on. • Optional thin scrollbars, and adjustable agent text size. • Opens fast even with folders full of files, and stays smooth with many tabs open. • The editor responds better while you resize the window. Plus dozens of fixes to text selection, scrollbars, renaming, and menus.

• Pin notes to the top of the list: a new "Pinned" section, per folder. • Three new guides in the Help menu — Markdown Syntax, Mermaid Syntax and KaTeX Formulas — each showing the syntax next to the rendered result. • Opening a vault now reopens the last note you were working on. • Editor: indentation with real tabs (width 4) and vertical indent guides; Tab indents, Shift-Tab outdents. • Line numbers in Live too; the "copy" button now appears on indented code blocks in Reading as well. • Modification date and time in the note list, to tell apart notes from the same day. • More reliable sidebar navigation: selecting and scrolling to the open note now works correctly on launch and when switching vaults, across the folder tree, note list and file explorer. • Various fixes: Window menu, vault switcher, translations, spacing, and a stray scrollbar in the tabs after switching monitors.

• Obsidian-style callouts: colored blocks with typed icons (note, info, warning, quote…), collapsible, in Reading and Live. A new button in the formatting bar opens a popup to insert them quickly. • AI note translation: into your system language or a language of your choice. Select text to translate just the selection. Code, links, wikilinks, callouts, math and properties (frontmatter) are preserved. • The folder tree now updates on its own when you create, rename or delete files and folders in your vault, including from outside the app (Finder, Obsidian). • Preferences → Style: a new slider for the callout corner radius. Various fixes and stability improvements.
