Better Team Scramble partners, and fixes. TEAM SCRAMBLE PARTNERS: new nights now plan partners a few rounds ahead instead of one round at a time, so people partner more of their teammates before anyone repeats, and opponents are usually spread more evenly. With 14 players on 3 courts for 7 rounds, everyone now partners all 6 teammates, nobody twice, and every pair across the net meets; before, 4 pairs partnered twice and 8 people missed a teammate. When exactly half of each team sits out every round, the app may keep the old schedule. ROUNDS TIP: if your rounds make someone partner a teammate twice, and a night of at least 5 rounds would avoid that, setup names the most rounds that do, for example "With 7 rounds, everyone partners every teammate once." BONUS GAMES CARRY ON: "Bonus games — teams stay" now carries on from the games actually played, earlier extra games included. Before, a second tap dealt the first tap's games again. If someone has left, the new games keep game counts even, and whoever sat out last plays next where possible. YOUR GAMES: keeps up to 100 sessions to reopen in the app, up from 30. FIXES - Adding or removing a club logo no longer says it failed when it worked. If yours said it failed before, add it again to show it on your season page. - Team Scramble's setup and rules now say partners keep changing, not a new partner every round. - Help now explains how Open Play picks each draw: partners first, then even teams, then opponents.

Bigger groups, fairer playoffs, and names that show. UP TO 48 PLAYERS: run sessions of 25 to 48 people, as one big group or in pods, and add walk-ins up to 48. Up to 24 stays free; 25 to 48 is part of PaddleScramble Premium, free for everyone through December 1, 2026. When a round has 7 or more games, iPhone and portrait iPad get a strip of court numbers to jump to any court, and iPad in landscape shows two columns. Above 24, the shared results picture is one per pod, or the top 16 for a single group with the rest in the app or on the live page. If someone leaves a one-group night above 24, the app offers to re-deal the rest of the night without them. MORE PEOPLE PLAY IN THE PLAYOFF: wherever a court is free, anyone without a game in the first playoff round plays first in the second (before, they sat out both), and with everyone present no court stands empty while four people wait. Consolation games show their court number in the app, on the printout and on the Live Share page. ONE CHAMPION: players share the crown only when they are also level on the tiebreak. NAMES THAT SHOW: at every text size, on iPhone and iPad, each name in the app and on the shared results picture shows at least its first 10 letters. Names shrink or wrap onto another line first; only in a very tight spot is one shortened after its 10th letter. On phones, a no-score round now gives each court two lines when the names would not fit on one line at a readable size, so names stay whole instead of shrinking. On scored games, the serve ball and the crown and fire drop under a player's name instead of squeezing it. OPEN PLAY MIXES ALL SESSION: new sessions spread partners and opponents across the whole session, and use the session's scores to even out teams where they can. Before, once scores were in, from round 7 it grouped people by level, which repeated partners and opponents. A session already under way when you update finishes the old way. FIXES - On a no-score night, adding someone who just arrived no longer re-deals the rounds already played; once the night is under way they join from the round after the one on screen. Keep playing there now stays on the round you are on. - Changing the playoff rules or the play-to so that a semifinal already under way counts as finished now puts the final on the schedule straight away. A score that cannot stand still has to be fixed first. - Drop worst now turns itself off when people would play different numbers of games (always in open play), and setup says why. - If the live page stops taking updates, the app now says so under the round bar: at once if the server refuses an update, or after three failed updates in a row. Your scores in the app are safe.

Playoffs your way, plus fixes. PLAYOFF TEAMS: a new "The teams" choice decides who partners whom in the playoff: Top pairs (1 & 2 v 3 & 4, as before), Balanced teams (semis 1 & 8 v 2 & 7 and 3 & 6 v 4 & 5) or Top vs bottom (semis 1 & 2 v 7 & 8 and 3 & 4 v 5 & 6). Set it in Playoff setup or on the playoff's start screen, and your group remembers it. Pod, Fixed Partner and Team Scramble nights set their own teams. FIXED PARTNER PLAYOFFS: pick Semis, then final and the top 4 pairs now play semifinals, then a final and a game for third (before, only one game was dealt). A new "The semifinals" choice sets 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd, or 1st v 2nd and 3rd v 4th. Partners stay together, the other pairs play each other on free courts, and every playoff screen and the Live Share page show the pairs by name. YOUR GROUPS: Your games shows which group each session counts in. In a group's Game history, Move here brings in a session another group counts, so it is never counted twice. FIXES - Changing the play-to or the playoff rules mid-session no longer blocks Finalize or erases a finished final: finished games keep the rules they were played under (except inside a best-of-three still being played). - Marked someone Out but skipped Cover? The round page now says so, and Cover is offered again while their later games are unplayed. - No false "New leader" message when you switch to open play. - Starting a playoff you edited no longer flashes the default matchups first. - The Live Share page names the champion when you end the night.

Fixes for clubs that run PaddleScramble on more than one iPad: • If two iPads each started their own copy of the same group, joining one to the other with an invite now combines them into one group with every session. iPads that already show two copies of a group are tidied up automatically after this update. • Merging another group's history now reaches your other iPads right away. • Season Standings now tells you when changes are still waiting to send, instead of saying "Up to date". • Corrected help for running two sessions at once, someone leaving early, and the crown and flame.

A schedule in seconds, two new ways to run a session, and season standings for your group. QUICK SETUP - say how many are playing and how many courts you have, and the schedule is up. No names to type and nothing to save, for the sessions where you just want to get on court. OPEN PLAY SCRAMBLE - for drop-in sessions where people come and go. Add a walk-in, put someone on a break, or drop a leaver between rounds, then draw the next round from whoever is actually on the floor. TEAM SCRAMBLE - two teams for the whole session, partners changing inside your own side. Scored as two sets; take one set each and everyone plays a Final Set to settle it. A REAL PLAYOFF - semifinals and a final, drawn on screen as it is played, with a game for third and consolation games so nobody sits out the finish. On a single court it becomes one deciding round. HOW IT WORKS - rewritten as a list of topics you can jump straight to, including what the crown and the flame mean. Round robin is now called Crazy Eights, and Fixed Partners is Fixed Partner Crazy Eights. Same games, clearer names. DURING A SESSION - Run two sessions at once on one device and switch between them - Someone arrives late? Add them and the rest of the schedule rebuilds around them - Someone leaves early? Last Round bug fix

Live Share — share a link or QR code and anyone can follow the live standings in a browser as you play. No app needed. Bigger sessions — run a round robin for up to 20 players (was 16). Two groups — with 16–20 players, split into two even groups so everyone gets a clean, no-repeat-partner round robin. It's recommended and set up for you. Saved groups — save your regular crews, then start a game in seconds by checking who showed up. Archived Games — your games are saved. Reopen any of them anytime. Editable playoff bracket — finish with a championship or bracket, and rearrange the matchups yourself, or tap to use the default. Celebrations — a champion confetti moment (tap the trophy to replay it) and new-leader pop-ups. Plus a redesigned player screen, faster setup, and lots of polish.
