Your conversations, your documents, and everything NOUS learns about you stay on your machine — and they stay yours. MEMORY THAT'S TRULY YOURS Most AI forgets you the moment you close the window. NOUS remembers. It builds a picture of your world over time — the way you write, the projects you're carrying, the details that matter — and keeps that memory on your Mac, in your own Library folder. The model can change, but your memory won't: when a smarter "brain" arrives in a future update, not one memory resets. You're not starting over every year — you're continuing a relationship. PRIVATE BY DESIGN NOUS runs on your own hardware using Apple's MLX framework, with the language model bundled inside the app. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no advertising, no third-party data sharing. The only time NOUS uses the network is the optional "Knowledge Shelf" web lookup you turn on per message — and even then, your conversations and documents stay on your Mac. Billing is handled by the App Store, so NOUS never sees your payment details. THE NOETIC DESK — WRITE, READ, REMEMBER NOUS is more than a chat box. The Noetic Desk is a full on-device workspace: • Writing rooms for drafting and long-form work. • Document reading for PDF, Word, Excel, and more. • A Local Reader for your own files. • Audio transcription for recordings and voice notes. • Diagrams generated from plain description. • Calendar and contacts assistance, only when you ask. • Image OCR and description, text-to-speech, and math — all on-device. Everything above runs offline, on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded. SAFETY IN ITS BLOODSTREAM NOUS has a built-in safety system that checks actions before they run. Before anything sensitive happens (sending, deleting, changing a setting, or controlling another app), NOUS asks first. Permissions are gated behind your explicit action — microphone, Contacts, Calendar, and app control are each used only when you ask, shown and confirmed first. MEMBERSHIP NOUS is an auto-renewable subscription with a 14-day free trial — the full app, nothing held back. • Monthly: $8.99 / month • Yearly: $69.99 / year (about four months free) One membership unlocks everything — the full Noetic Desk, the memory system, the safety layer, and every update, including whole new brains. Your free trial lasts 14 days; if you don't cancel before it ends, your subscription automatically renews at the price above. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in System Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions after purchase.
