Tandan — Trust-First Dating & Meaningful Connections for Northeast India
Looking for a modern, respectful way to make real connections rooted in shared heritage? Tandan is a culture-first social discovery and relationship platform engineered specifically for the 45+ million population and 220+ indigenous tribes of Northeast India.
Mainstream generic apps overlook our region's rich diversity, customary traditions, and safety needs. Tandan natively represents our communities through authentic clan exogamy rules, traditional icebreaker games, and an innovative, level-locked safety engine.

WHY TANDAN IS UNIQUE:
1. SafePace AI & GloMeter Progressive Chat:
Your privacy and safety are paramount. Tandan replaces unsafe open messaging with SafePace AI and the GloMeter connection tracker:
- Levels 1–4: Safe, respectful in-app texting. Unsolicited phone numbers and social media handles are automatically detected and restricted by SafePace AI.
- Level 5: Once mutual trust is proven through genuine conversation, media and contact sharing seamlessly unlock.
2. Traditional "Likkon" Heritage Game:
Say goodbye to superficial, mindless swiping. We have digitized "Likkon," the authentic Manipuri bachelor/bachelorette social game. Roll traditional cowry shells, answer values-based Q&As, break the ice, and match based on character, humor, and compatibility.
3. Yek / Salai Clan Exogamy Engine:
Tandan is the only platform that honors ancestral customary laws. Select your tribe and clan (Meetei Yek/Salai, Naga, Kuki, Mizo, Khasi, Garo, and more). Our intelligent matching algorithm automatically respects clan exogamy rules to preserve cultural values.
4. 16-Personality Type Compatibility:
Discover how your communication styles, values, and temperaments align before you take the conversation forward.
5. Offline-First Chat & Lightweight Performance:
Never lose access to your meaningful conversations. Tandan safely caches your chats offline so you can read and draft messages seamlessly, even with intermittent connectivity in hilly regions.
6. Mutual Waving & Verified Profiles:
Connect with peace of mind. Conversations only unlock through mutual consent ("Waves"), ensuring zero spam, zero bots, and a community of authentic, verified singles.
