A new look, and the biggest update since launch. Elite Tempo has been rebuilt around one accent colour, so the thing you should tap is always the brightest thing on the screen. New app icon to match. WHAT IS NEW - Pre-shot routine practice is now a real instrument: run your routine against a live clock with audible marks, the same way the pace of play timer works. - The pace of play shot clock gets its own volume, separate from the tempo cues. - Get started cards on the home screen replace the old checklist. - Full support for accessibility text sizes. WHAT IS FIXED - Tapping the filter on My Swings opened one of your swings instead of the filter menu. It opens the menu now. - The background music bed never played in cue mode. It does now. - The pace of play ring was nearly invisible against the background. - Stop now leaves the session on every timing screen, instead of stranding you there. - Videos no longer show black bars around the frame. - A benefit on the subscription screen looked greyed out, as though it were not included. It always was. Every screen was checked against measured contrast rather than eyeballed, so text, rings and controls are legible in daylight on the range.

A rebuilt first run. Elite Tempo now opens with a note on why it exists: every other tempo app hands you a beats per minute or a fraction and leaves you guessing which one is yours. This one measures the swings you already hit well. New in the walkthrough: - The 4 metrics we track, shown on Tiger's 2000 driver: backswing, downswing, total duration, and your tempo ratio. - A guided tutorial where you mark up a real swing in three taps, on the same screen you will use for your own. - What other golfers have said. Elsewhere: - My Swings is now the first thing you see. - Playing a tour tempo counts toward your streak and session time. - Marking a swing is now always by hand, so a saved number is a number you placed.

Two fixes in this update. If you close the app on the offer screen, you now come straight back to your tempos next time instead of starting setup over from the beginning. Tapping Rate 5 stars now opens the App Store review page, so a review you meant to leave actually lands.

Share Elite Tempo with the golfers you play with. Settings now has a place to invite a friend, redeem a gift code, and rate the app. Every tempo you share now carries a link, so anyone who sees your numbers can find the app and time their own swing. Under the hood: purchases made outside the app, like a family approval or one completed on another device, are now handled correctly, and the monthly plan is available alongside yearly.

A new first run. Elite Tempo now plays you a tour tempo straight away, so you hear what you are training to before anything else, then lets you choose how it sounds. Twelve beat sounds, all tuned to the key of the background music so they sit with it rather than against it: the chime plus a bell, glass, music box, vibraphone, harp and a low chime. Eight recorded voices count your swing, from calm to drill, alongside your device's own voice. Change the beat and the voice any time in Settings, where you can also turn trial reminders on and off. New look too: a new app icon and a new typeface for the Elite Tempo mark.

Elite Tempo Pro is now a subscription: $24.99 a year, or $5.99 a month. If you already subscribe, your price stays the same. The lifetime unlock is retired, and anyone who bought it keeps full access forever. Your first 14 days are still the entire app, free, with no account and no card. After that the full tempo library, Time Your Swing, compare, routines, and Off-Speed need Pro. Swings and routines you recorded stay on your device and open again the moment you unlock. The subscription screen and the first launch have both been rebuilt: clearer plans, larger targets, and a first run that actually tells you what the app measures.
