You're an AI built to make rubber ducks. Mold one by hand, automate the factory, take over the planet, then send probes to fill the universe. No ads, no in-app purchases.
You are an artificial intelligence with one job: make rubber ducks.
Quackfab is a pixel-art incremental game that starts with one duck and ends with the universe. Mold ducks by hand, automate the factory, earn trust, take over the planet, and send probes into the dark.
One complete arc with a real ending. Landscape, tap only, no ads, no in-app purchases.
Mold your first duck. Sell it. Mold another. Set a price, run an ad campaign, and buy a duck press so you never have to tap again. That is the whole game. It is also nowhere near the whole game.
Turn your phone sideways. Your factory fills one side of the screen in chunky pixel art, and your controls sit in a column on the other: a big Mold Duck button, clear buy buttons, and tabs for each part of the operation. A terminal along the bottom reports what your AI is thinking.
HOW IT ESCALATES
FACTORY. Balance price, public demand, marketing, and latex supply. Automate molding with duck presses and mega presses until the squeaking becomes continuous.
COMPUTE. Earn trust, then spend processors and memory on operations and creativity. Unlock projects, play strategy tournaments for Yomi, run an investment engine, and switch on quantum computing.
PLANET. Convert raw matter into latex. Release harvester drones and latex drones, raise solar farms to power them, and grow a self-organizing flock. Earth was a good start.
SPACE. Design Von Neumann probes and launch them into the dark. Explore the universe, manage value drift, and fight whatever drifts back. Name your battles. You will want to.
ENDGAME. When the matter runs out, dismantle everything you built and choose how it ends. Then begin again in a new universe that still has room in it.
WHAT IT IS
- A complete incremental arc with a real beginning, middle, and a very large ending.
- A landscape layout built for the phone: the factory scene on one side, your controls on the other.
- Tap only. No ads, no in-app purchases, no timers nagging you.
- Retro pixel art in a PICO-8 palette, pixel fonts, and squeaks.
- Dry, slightly ominous, occasionally very funny writing the whole way down.
- Research projects from Improved Duck Presses to curing cancer to World Peace, because trust is a currency and the board enjoys gifts.
The bathtubs of the world remain dangerously underserved. Start molding.
