New in 1.6 Today: the Hunch tab shows your day at a glance – tasks due, pending and decided approvals, running threads and actions over the day. The numbers are computed by your connected computer running the Hunch runtime. Hunch ID: confirm approvals with Face ID or Touch ID. The key is created in your device's Secure Enclave; your personal ID card is set up after your first confirmed computer connection. Approvals & autonomy (experimental): decide per computer how much Hunch may do without asking. Declining is always possible. Health (experimental): sleep, recovery and activity from Apple Health – sent, with your consent, only to your own computer and compared there with your personal baseline. Not a medical diagnosis. Hunch keyboard (experimental): a custom keyboard with on-device word suggestions, enabled in iOS Settings. Plus a calmer card design, iOS 26 corner geometry and many fixes. Chat: a reworked input field with drafts and dictation, model selection as a picker per provider, and images in chat with a connected computer. Voice, notifications and the Live Activity are more stable, and errors now show their real reason instead of staying silent.

Hunch is agent first now, terminal second. • The terminal lives in the chat: one button top right and you type straight on your machine — including a machine running the Hunch agent, where there was none before. • Dynamic Island and lock screen show the running step with its phase and duration. The app doesn't need to be open. • The ID card in your profile can finally be verified — Face ID, Secure Enclave, done. • A fresh install really starts from zero: old keys no longer linger in the keychain. • Remote screen access is gone. It never fit the rest. • Smoother scrolling in the chat.

Hunch now speaks English — the app follows your device language. The agent can look things up in Brain: earlier conversations, stored facts and open tasks are now searchable instead of guessed. If a provider goes down, Hunch switches to the next one mid-conversation and tells you — falling back to the on-device model that works without a network. Tools now carry risk levels: reading goes through, changes ask first. Every action is logged, and a daily limit keeps costs in check. Codex can be started on a connected computer.
