Color Safari
Hunt colors, paint your world
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
One color to find each day — hunt it with your camera, earn it, then paint with it! No ads, no sign-ups, no data collected. The whole safari fits in your pocket.
Color Safari turns the real world into a color treasure hunt. Every day there is one special color to find — not on a screen, but out there on a leaf, a mug, a front door, a favorite sweater.
A NEW HUNT EVERY DAY
Each morning reveals a fresh target from 120 wonderfully named colors (teal is not turquoise, and definitely not cyan!). Every color comes with a fun fact, and trickier colors are worth more points.
HUNT WITH YOUR CAMERA
Point the camera and watch the live match-meter climb. Reach 85% and hold steady — captured! The camera is used only to sample colors in the moment. Nothing is ever photographed, saved, or sent anywhere.
COLLECT COLOR CARDS
Every capture becomes a card with the color's real name, its fun fact, and a note about where you found it ("Persian Teal — grandma's vase"). Fill the 120-color collection book one discovery at a time.
WEEKLY THEMES
Ocean Week, Sunset Week, and more: five themed colors to track down before Sunday.
GROW YOUR COLOR IQ
Quick mixing quizzes after each capture teach real color theory — complements, warm vs. cool, and what teal + mustard makes. Win quizzes to level up your Color IQ.
PAINT WITH WHAT YOU FOUND
The Studio is a finger-painting canvas with one big rule: you can only paint with colors you have personally captured from the world. That makes every painting truly yours. Save your masterpieces to the Gallery.
KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE
Daily hunts build streaks and points — and sharpen a superpower most of us lose: actually noticing the colors all around us.
MADE FOR FAMILIES
• No ads, ever
• No in-app purchases
• No accounts or sign-ups
• No data collected — everything stays on your device
• Works fully offline (the hunt is outside, not online!)
In Color Safari, colors aren't given — they're earned. Grab the camera and start hunting!
