Your photos are now searchable. Drop a receipt, a whiteboard, or a screenshot into a note and the words in it show up in search, and Ask your notes can answer from them. All of it happens on your Mac. Also in this update: • On macOS 27, Ask your notes reads twice as much of your notes at once, using the new on-device model. • Notes > Compact Photos shrinks photos saved by earlier versions, which makes those notes smaller and faster. • The Help menu now opens the support page and the sync guide. • Switching back to Inkdale keeps your cursor and selection where you left them.

A new name: this app is now Inkdale Pro. Your vault, password, and notes carry over untouched. Nothing to set up. Also in this update: • Photos are stored more efficiently, so notes with photos are smaller, sync faster, and open faster. • Photos draw at their final size right away instead of jumping from small to large. • Cleaner wording throughout the app.

Ask your notes. Now from anywhere on your Mac. • A system-wide shortcut (⌥⌘A by default) pops a floating "Ask your notes" panel over any app. Ask a question or jump straight to a note, then get back to what you were doing. No need to switch into the app. • The panel unlocks your vault in place, opens the source note right at the answer, and can search your locked notes without ever leaving it. • If an answer takes too long, a one-tap Try again re-runs it. • Plus a round of keyboard-focus and find-in-note polish. As always, the AI runs entirely on your Mac. Your notes never leave the device.

• See where every answer comes from. "Ask your notes" now highlights the exact note each answer was found in — open it and check in a tap. • Sharper, more accurate answers and a cleaner, unified look for the Ask panel. • Editor polish — a focused ⌘K link popover, press Esc to clear a selection, and a crisper formatting toolbar. • Arrow keys work the instant you unlock, plus a batch of refinements and fixes.

• Recent & New — your latest and just-created notes, right where you land. • "Ask your notes," improved — a cleaner answer card, better handling of notes full of codes and IDs, and privacy-safe example questions. • Export any note as PDF or Markdown from the right-click menu. Locked notes stay protected. • Editor polish — formatting on checklist lines, automatic list renumbering, more reliable undo, and a floating format bar that follows your selection as you scroll. • Recent & New now reflects notes you created or edited on your other devices. • Assorted fixes and refinements.

• Find now flows across notes - search once and step through every match in every note, with a running count • Ask your notes can now include your locked notes in a search (after you approve once, just for that session) • Set your own Quick Capture keyboard shortcut • A smoother Ask-your-notes answer panel, plus polish and reliability fixes
