Qdos: The Family App
Chores earn money, rules cost
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Want to build great family habits — chores, cleaning, homework, the calendar, house rules and shopping — with less nagging? Kids earn as they help. Try Qdos free.
Qdos runs your family's whole week — and holds everyone to it. Chores earn. Broken house rules cost. The calendar, the meal plan, the shopping list and the family's plans live in one app. Built by parents, for the real chaos of family life.
WHO CHECKS THE PARENTS? EVERYONE.
Most chore apps keep score in one direction: kids do, parents judge. Qdos doesn't. House rules apply to all of you, and anyone can report a broken one. Yes, a kid can dock Dad for boots on the rug, or call out Mum for "no phones at dinner." (An adult's report applies straight away; a kid's waits for a parent.)
ONE PRICE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY — NOT PER CHILD
Three kids? Five? Same price — one subscription per household, full stop, while allowance apps that bill per child scale up every time your family grows.
TODAY, NOT A WALL OF CHORES
Open Qdos and you get today: morning, after school and evening, in blocks — plus what's on and what's for dinner. Kids see their own day and tick it off. Everything waiting on a parent is dealt out one card at a time.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Set the jobs — a value, a schedule, a time of day, a checklist, a proof photo where it matters.
2. Kids tick them off; you approve with a tap. The app does the chasing, not you.
3. Agree the house rules. "Shoes off inside." "Screens off at dinner." Break one, it costs.
4. Settle up when you're ready. Qdos tracks every cent earned and owed; you pay your kids directly. No real money moves through Qdos — no cards, no bank links.
FAIR TURNS, NO ARGUMENT
Rotate a chore around the kids and Qdos remembers whose turn it is — you don't. Or give everyone their own copy, or leave it up for grabs. Every task keeps a history, so "I always do it!" finally has an answer. Away or off sick? Pause it, or let a kid ask to skip.
CASH OR POINTS — YOUR CALL
Not keen on real money? Flip your household to points. Stock a Reward Shelf with whatever motivates your kids: "Movie night — 200 pts," "30 min screen time — 50 pts." They tap Redeem, you approve, points come off.
NOT EVERYTHING IS A SCOREBOARD
- A daily spark — one short, warm note each, every day. Or write your own: "Good luck at the swim carnival."
- Cheers — encouragement, sent to anyone. Kids can cheer parents too.
- Savings goals with a progress bar. "$4 to go until the LEGO set" beats a lecture.
THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD, SORTED
- A shared family calendar — appointments, sport, school terms, public holidays — that subscribes into Apple or Google Calendar.
- A weekly meal planner that pushes ingredients straight onto the shopping list.
- A shopping list that sorts itself by aisle, and works in the supermarket when the signal doesn't.
- Shared lists and plans — the trip, the party, the move — with who's doing what.
MADE FOR PHONES IN POCKETS
Ask Siri to add milk to the list, hear what's on today, or tick a chore off. Reminders keep everyone moving. Hand a kid an old phone and sign them in with a QR code — no email, no password. English, French and German.
MADE WITH KIDS' PRIVACY IN MIND
Kids have no email and enter no personal details — a parent sets up each account. Delete any member, or your whole family's data, in the app anytime.
Free for 14 days from sign-up, no card. Stay only if it earns its place.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Chores can now sit on the family calendar with a time and a place, so "soccer kit, 4pm" shows up where the day actually reaches it.
Weekly chores can repeat every few weeks, not just every week.
And you can edit a chore straight from its details, without hunting for it.
Plus fixes and improvements under the hood.
