BROWSE HSK-LABELLED VOCABULARY
Move between the six decks labelled HSK 1 to HSK 6 in the app. Filter words by level, category, status, and by lesson where available.
SEE HOW WORDS SHARE A CHARACTER
Each Word Map places one full Chinese character at the center and shows words that contain that character. Group connections by where the character appears in each word, then open a word for pinyin and meaning. These maps show shared full characters; they are not radical decomposition or etymology lessons.
STUDY WITH FLEXIBLE FLASHCARDS
Choose Chinese, pinyin, or meaning for the front and back of each card. Listen with your device's Mandarin system voice, flip through the deck, and mark each word Known, Forgotten, or Unmarked. Review is controlled by your selections; the app does not use an automatic spaced-repetition schedule.
ORGANIZE AND FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS
Focus on the words you choose with filters and see the manual Known, Forgotten, and Unmarked totals overall and by level. The interface and bundled meanings support English, German, Vietnamese, and Indonesian.
FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION ACCESS
HSK 1 flashcards and eight Word Map previews are free. An annual subscription unlocks the HSK 2–6 decks and full Word Map access. The App Store shows the current price.
MandarinRise focuses on vocabulary study. It is not a Chinese course, dictionary, handwriting trainer, pronunciation coach, automatic review scheduler, or full exam-preparation app.
