Drop the anchor with one touch: hold Set Up Watch, or the new Drop Anchor Here button on the map, and the watch starts where the boat is. To move the anchor, hold it on the map and drag it: the safe zone moves with it, and you confirm the new spot when you let go. The track is drawn in much finer detail, so you can tighten the radius to the boat's real swing. On iOS 26, holding the anchor and dragging the corners of a no-go area work again. The "While Using" location warning is gone too: the watch keeps its GPS in the background either way.

Fixes false alarms. Switching GPS source, say from a network feed to the phone's own location, no longer moves the boat and sounds a drag alarm: the watch keeps the position it trusts, and warns you after two minutes if the GPS stops making sense. A phone watching from ashore no longer sounds a drag the boat never reported, Stop on it silences that drag only, and it tells you when it is the one offline. On smaller iPhones the map tool panels no longer slip under the tab bar.

Fixes for what 1.10.0 got wrong. The watch now stays on GPS when battery saver switches on: it used to fall back to wifi and cell positioning, which is slow and coarse at anchor and could report the boat hundreds of metres from where she was. A single bad reading can no longer raise the alarm on its own. The dim screen only comes on after dark, stays awake while you are typing, and can be switched off in Settings. The map opens where you were last instead of on an empty ocean while it waits for a fix.

The phone ashore now sounds when the boat's battery is running low, not only its own. Anchor history can be exported as a spreadsheet (CSV) or as waypoints for a chartplotter (GPX). The dim night screen now works on the boat's phone too, not only the one ashore. No-go area corners can be moved: hold a point and drag it, and a saved area can be reopened to edit. Fixed a false alarm that could report the boat as silent when you reopened the app on the monitoring phone while the boat was reporting normally.

A sounding alarm can now be stopped from any screen, on the boat and ashore: a full-screen Snooze or Stop, instead of hunting for a button. Critical Alerts let the drag alarm through Silent mode and a Focus. You can draw no-go areas the boat must stay out of, type an anchor position in any coordinate format, and set allowed bearings as a centre and a width, which finally works across north. There is a written manual in Settings, offline, in every language the app speaks. A phone ashore can work the watch when the boat allows it.

The map now keeps the boat centred, so it stays in view while dragging. A stern-to berth with lines ashore is drawn at the right zoom instead of a dot in the bay. The app runs on iOS 17 now, so older iPhones can keep watch too.

AIS targets on the map from your NMEA feed. Every anchorage keeps its own page with a map and a name. Remote alarms keep sounding until answered, the phone on watch gets a nightstand mode, and the app turns dark at sunset.

Dark mode arrives: follow the system, or pick light or dark yourself. You can now set the anchor by typing the numbers, with "Enter manually" in the placement list for an exact bearing and distance. Two new alerts, both on by default: a low battery warning before your phone dies on watch, and a signal loss alert if the GPS or the boat goes quiet for 10 minutes. Both use a softer chime, clearly different from the drag alarm, and alerts now break through Focus. The map keeps your older track as a grey trail too, so you can see where the anchor really lies.

Connect even more GPS receivers: RaceBox and OpenPlotter (gpsd) now work alongside Dragy and standard Bluetooth and NMEA units, and the app can automatically find Signal K and NMEA sources on your boat's Wi-Fi. Sharing a watch is easier too: scan a QR code or tap a link and it opens straight to monitoring the boat. Plus map, alarm and reliability improvements.

Setting the anchor is easier: drop it at your current position or by exact coordinates, and move an anchor you already set by dragging or nudging it instead of starting over. Fixes: the device volume meter updates live again, the test alarm no longer stops after a second, and network (NMEA) GPS reconnects automatically after a restart. Plus other fixes and improvements.

A more reliable anchor alarm: it keeps watching even when GPS pauses and wakes you on a locked phone. New: draw your own safe area (Beta), a smoother map, and we only ask for Bluetooth or network access when you scan. Plus fixes and improvements.
