more I love this concept! To be able to have a place to track my favorite spots during travel, and then it makes sharing them with friends so easy. I feel like I’m always asking people where to go when I travel — people whose opinions I trust because they know me and know my vibe! This app makes it so easy. Not to mention the interface is so fun and vibrant.

1.3.59 2d ago
What's new:
• Your radar and feed got a fresh look. In dark mode the feed now shows the night sky behind your cards.
• A new default night-sky design for places and guides without a photo.
• The feed's city summary card shows how many places and guides are in view, and it's the first thing you see when you open a city.
• "Since you're into" is a swipeable row of tiles, with a "more everywhere" tile at the end.
• Maps are smoother: pins no longer flicker or bounce when you move a sheet or zoom, and clusters split apart cleanly.
• Small islands now show up as their own places, like Florianópolis.
• Swipe from the left edge to go back from a person's map or a guide.
• "Been here" now pops with a little check, and "not for me" mutes a card without removing the pin.
• Cities with the same name are easier to tell apart, like Portland (OR) and London, UK.
• Switching between places in the feed takes you back to the top.
• Fixes and polish throughout.
1.3.58 4d ago
What’s new:
• Redesign: recs are now user-led instead of image-led, and there's a new way to say what you’re into.
• Popular places beyond your city: zoom out to a country or state and see the cities members love most.
• Member-loved places now have their own marker and card.
• Back from a trip: tap a place to open its full page.
• Just added: a strip of your newest recs at the top of My Recs.
• Better photo credits: author and Google Maps credits are clearer on the rec page and feed cards.
• Search: a “more results” row appears at the end of place searches.
• Fixes and polish: faster place lookups, tighter layouts on larger screens, a duplicate-save fix, and accuracy fixes for some city and country names.
1.3.57 Oct 27
What's new:
• When you come home from a trip, "back from London" now appears as the first card on your map, asking which of your saved places you loved. Arriving somewhere new shows "you're in Lisbon" the same way, with a quick way to ask your orbit for favourites.
• Empty guides now show an "add places" card, so it's clear how to start filling them.
Improved:
• Guides without a cover photo show their constellation in the list and the grid.
• Zoomed-out maps stay anchored, and you can scroll them freely instead of getting stuck or drifting upward.
• Tapping a pin with several places no longer freezes the map. The list follows the pin and opens below it when there's no room above.
• City names read cleanly: "London" instead of "Greater London".
• The create-guide sheet puts the cover color under the cover photo.
• Removed the "N not shown" note from the orbit map.
Fixed:
• An error when leaving edit mode on a guide with no places.
1.3.56 Oct 21
New and improved:
• Tip bubbles: when someone in your orbit adds or changes a tip, a small bubble appears on their pin, and clusters show how many new tips are inside. This now includes tips added to places they saved earlier.
• “Back from” trips now recognize London and other cities when your phone names the area differently.
• Guides without a photo now show their map constellation everywhere they appear, instead of a plain icon.
• The guide cover option now reads “cover color”.
• Sharper profile photos on the radar map.
• Opening your own rec no longer turns its pin into a “2” cluster.
• Zooming into part of a city, like Camden, keeps that city’s recs and pins on the map.
• The “beyond your orbit” shelf now shows only places nobody in your orbit has, titled “loved in {city}”.
• Guide pins sit centered between the header and the sheet, and photos load as you scroll to them.
• “Back from” now shows after any trip, even with just one saved place there. If you didn’t save anything, it asks you to add the places you loved.
1.3.54 Oct 19

What's new in 1.3.52:
Guides without a photo now show a constellation of the places you’ve added, in a color you pick. Tapping a cluster of places that sit almost on top of each other now opens a short list to choose from instead of zooming in again and again. Photos load more reliably: one that fails no longer breaks the picture area.

Radar and location:
• The location button responds right away, shows a pulse while it finds you, and now turns off when you move the map away from where you are.
• “Near me” and “show your recs” widen to the nearest places when nothing is in view, instead of leaving an empty map.
• Community places now appear on Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca and Formentera.
• Cards read “from {name}” and “new from {name}”, and the guide picker shows who made each guide.
Polish:
• Swiping a new-rec card up now dismisses it instead of opening the place.
• Island names are easier to read in dark mode.
• The profile photo no longer flashes the Google photo on launch.

• Place photos open faster in the rec sheet
• Names now keep the capitalization they were typed with, in the recs strip, the postcard and the map chips
• With Reduce Motion on, the new card fades in instead of moving
• Fixed: the new chat or stream sheet no longer shows locked over "0/3" before your rec count has loaded
• Fixed: the recs strip no longer repeats a rec the card stack already showed

Composing
• Broadcast to your whole orbit with one tap on the new "your orbit" tile
