Living Covers • Apple Music’s animated artwork now plays in Now Playing, with the blurred backdrop drifting softly behind it. • The current cover becomes a soft wallpaper and glides into the next one. • Cover Flow now jumps right into Now Playing — full screen in landscape. • Raise translucency and the resin turns glassy while the splatter stays vivid.

Your own lyrics come first • Fixed missing embedded lyrics in some FLAC, MP3, CAF, and other files. • Embedded plain-text lyrics also take priority and are no longer replaced by online lyrics. • Fixed garbled text when manually importing some Chinese LRC files. • Use Rescan Lyrics to reread garbled lyrics in Local Files. For lyrics attached in Subsonic, attach the original file again. Open your queue and see it • The Immersive theme now displays the queue and lets you browse it. • In EDC themes and full-screen mode, tap songs, swipe up or down, and close the queue popup. • An empty queue now prompts you to play music first. Find music your scans missed • Fixed playable Opus and audio-only MP4 files being skipped during folder scans. • Scanning also reads embedded lyrics and matching LRC files with the same name from the same import batch. • MP4 files containing a video track are not imported as music.

Fixed a layout issue that caused the menu pane to become compressed.

Retro Storm • Eight retro player presets, built in. Apply Gen 1, Gen 3, Gen 6, Slim Gen 2 or Slim Gen 4 from DIY → Preset Center in one tap, with body, wheel and screen included. Gen 1 / White is free; the other seven require Pro. Built-in presets don’t use your saved preset slots. • Make the wheel yours (Pro). The new Wheel Buttons editor in DIY → Shape lets you place Menu, Previous, Play/Pause and Next anywhere and set each one’s size, color and label. Choose a click wheel, mechanical wheel or photographic wheel, size the center button from 15% to 65%, and give it a raised, flat or recessed surface. Original Image Lighting shows your body photo without added shading. • Neon Misfits (Ultimate). A hand-drawn neon icon theme for every Home icon, with its own UltraPod emblem. • Made for wider, shorter screens. New 5:4 and 8:7 display area ratios for everyone. Cover Flow Home fits short screens with a compact status bar and player, and Settings menus and dialogs now scroll instead of getting cut off.

• Lock with a 6-digit passcode. In Lock settings, press the center button to choose a pattern or a 6-digit passcode, entered on the honeycomb dial pad. Repeated wrong attempts start a cooldown, and your existing pattern lock keeps working. • Fixed stuttering in the camera viewfinder. The preview stays smooth while the camera is open, and rotation works the same as before.

• A new honeycomb dial pad makes calling quick. Pin up to 100 favorites, each set to Call, FaceTime or Message. While Contacts is open, the control ring switches to contact icons. • A built-in Handbook covers music, playback, modules, personalizing and settings. Available in all 9 app languages. A redesigned import guide walks you through bringing your music in. • Sign in to Community and your App Store purchase is linked to your account. It is checked against Apple’s signed purchase records, so there is nothing to enter. • Pro and Ultimate members can share DIY themes and icons in Community. Browsing and downloading remain free for everyone.

New icon themes, vinyl on iPhone and a faster Apple Music start. • Three new icon themes: Mono Signal (free), plus Matte Black and Matte White for Ultimate. • Vinyl Now Playing on iPhone: the tonearm turntable from iPad and iPhone Duo, free to use. Custom record patterns, colors and translucency need Pro. • Community showcase: free users can browse the newest Community presets on launch and try one for five minutes. • Apple Music starts playing sooner after you tap Play or Shuffle. • Apple Music crossfade is now off by default for new installs, and the setting explains that Lossless and Dolby Atmos are unavailable while it is on. • The screen no longer dims or locks while your finger is still on it.

Improved iPad layout and easier access to sound settings. • Fixed iPad display proportions and control-wheel sizing, and improved landscape launch layout. • Improved orientation handling on iPad and iPhone Duo. • Added a Parametric EQ shortcut to Playback Settings for Local Files and Subsonic. EQ audio processing remains unavailable for Apple Music.

Shape your sound and enjoy smoother playback. • New Parametric EQ for Local Files and Subsonic: adjust frequency, gain, Q and preamp, with six built-in presets, A/B listening and original-sound comparison. Save, import and export custom .upodeq presets. EQ audio processing is not available for Apple Music or other unsupported sources. • Fixed duplicate notices when tapping Next at the end of a playlist in full-screen playback. • Fixed Duo orientation after unfolding and outer-screen settings affecting inner-screen rotation. • Improved artwork transitions between songs with and without lyrics. • Increased the custom status bar height while keeping the clock and icons centered.

More room for your music. • A new two-pane experience on iPhone Duo and iPad: listen and browse side by side in landscape, or enjoy the player above a turntable in portrait. • Interactive turntable and customizable vinyl, only on iPhone Duo and iPad. Move the tonearm to play or pause, and choose solid, smoke or splatter finishes with adjustable color and translucency. • Extra-large portrait widgets for 34 themes on iOS 27 and later. • New Flat Pixel icon pack, exclusive to Ultimate. • Refined landscape Now Playing layouts that preserve each theme’s typography. • A pure white background for the Minimal app icon, and a fix for full-screen preferences resetting for free users.

This patch improves local music, Now Playing and Vinyl Guard. • Fixed missing song, artist and album information in some local FLAC and Ogg files. Missing information in existing libraries can be recovered without reimporting. • Fixed a flash when opening Now Playing upside down, and Liquid Glass background issues after locking and unlocking. • Restored the dedicated full-screen layouts for the Column 09 and Window 05 3D themes. • Added more bricks, explosive and armored bricks, and more frequent power-ups to Vinyl Guard.

System Music — free for everyone • Same sound and settings: playback runs in Music, using its audio quality and playback settings on the same track and output device. • One listening history: Apple Music handles plays and Replay under its own rules. Turn on Use Listening History. • Music keeps playing when UltraPod closes. Playback and the queue belong to Music; tapping Now Playing in Control Center opens Music, not UltraPod. New game: Vinyl Guard • Aim with the wheel, press center to launch, and catch the ball to keep breaking bricks. • Build combos and charge a five-second piercing shot. Catch power-ups to widen the paddle or slow the ball. • Play offline in all nine app languages, with adjustable sound and haptics. Find it in Mini Apps. Music and everyday improvements • Apple Music Reverse Order flips your list while preserving repeated songs and their positions. • Fixed missing Now Playing artwork in Home and Music by retaining the full cover information. • Home and the Control Ring return as the lock screen fades after authentication, without the extra wait. • Improved iOS 15 offline playback preparation for downloaded songs. • Community charts now cover yesterday and today for daily rankings and the latest seven calendar days for weekly rankings, using UTC. Free, Pro and Ultimate • Free: System Music, Vinyl Guard and reverse sorting, plus artwork, lock-screen and community chart improvements. • Pro: all these updates, with your existing DIY, icon editing and widget benefits retained. • Ultimate: all these updates, plus reverse browsing in your existing Watch experience. All previous benefits remain available.

Local music artwork • Fixed missing embedded covers in some FLAC, CAF, and Opus files, and improved artwork reading for other supported formats. • A damaged image no longer blocks other valid covers. Opening Local mode after updating can restore previously missed embedded artwork without deleting and reimporting songs. In-app lock screen • Fixed overlapping network and battery icons when the system status bar is enabled. UltraPod mode now uses the same battery display as the regular interface, without an extra percentage label. • While music is playing, see the current song, artist, progress bar, elapsed time, and duration. Song information sits higher and disappears when playback is paused or stopped.

• Meet Dog Stickers, a new Home icon theme available with Pro and Ultimate. • Create custom icons with automatic subject cutout and adjustable white borders. Cutout requires iOS 17 or later; white borders also work on iOS 15 and 16. • Adjust the corners of the Home Now Playing card in DIY settings and save them with your preset. Older presets preserve your current corner setting. • Fixed Cover Flow jumping back while browsing a long playback queue. Continue browsing with the Control Ring, full-screen swipes, or accessibility navigation. • Fixed upside-down full-screen pages and dialogs, including the system status bar appearing unexpectedly. • Keep the player body and Control Ring in place when locking, waking, and unlocking the in-app screen. • Shortened long menu names across all nine app languages and tightened icon spacing.

• Fixed an issue that could prevent downloaded Apple Music tracks from starting offline after a library change. • Fixed dialogs jumping or scrolling too far when selecting buttons with the Control Ring. Long dialogs still scroll to reveal offscreen buttons. • Your active custom preset now saves appearance changes automatically. Preview covers stay in sync with the latest design, and presets with community sync enabled can submit updates while a previous version is under review. • Choose a mainland China or international connection for the community, before signing in or from your account. The default follows your system region, and your choice is saved.

• Explore COLUMN-09 in 3D and the new WINDOW-05, with visible mechanisms and reels that turn with your music. Go full screen with your player and lyrics together. • Choose from 10 alternate app icons, from paper and felt to glass and chrome. • Start with all your music or choose a playlist from Home. • Browse and control the music source active on your iPhone, right from Apple Watch. Download local files one at a time or with Download All. Play saved tracks on Watch when iPhone is unreachable. Download Subsonic tracks to iPhone first. Apple Music supports remote playback control only. • Improved confirmation dialogs and Control Ring navigation. Now Playing menus stop at the first and last items, and custom body images are prepared before startup presentation.

Fixed playback issues.

Meet EDC Column 09—a tactile new Now Playing theme with a dot-matrix display, physical playback controls, a vertical volume roller, and an LED volume scale. Use it inside the classic player, or expand Now Playing to the new full-screen mode. Also improved: • First-time setup now waits until your on-device music library is ready before opening Home. • Clear Cache & Rebuild safely recreates playback data and avoids disk I/O failures. • Temporary system overlays no longer interrupt an active library sync. • Auto-lock prompts are more reliable on iOS 15. • Applying the built-in Classic or Black Red theme now restores its intended wheel appearance.

Playback is smoother and more reliable, especially with large music libraries. UltraPod now does less unnecessary work to help reduce heat during playback. Book navigation is more accurate. Chapters opens to the chapter containing your saved page, EPUB imports keep headings clean, and existing books receive improved chapter locations.

Choose how Home feels with a new paged 2 × 3 icon grid, or keep the classic Cover Flow. Queue, screen brightness, and media volume are now directly available from Home. NEW • Switch between Cover Flow and the 2 × 3 Home grid in Settings. • Hold Play/Pause to lock UltraPod without changing playback. • Adjust the control ring’s size and vertical position. These controls are available to everyone. IMPROVED • Music lists keep your browsing position and bring the current song into view—even when the same song appears more than once. • The lock screen now shows network status alongside battery information. FIXED • At A or Z, alphabet navigation returns to normal song-by-song scrolling. • Change notices stay visible above Now Playing and Settings. • Community preset covers and scans now finish more reliably.

Music now has access to the full system multichannel path in UltraPod. Compatible Apple Music, Local Files, and Subsonic playback can use Atmos, Dolby Audio, or other multichannel rendering selected by the system. IMPROVED • Compact Music playlists open at the top action area instead of jumping to the playing song. • Full-screen playlists still bring the current queue occurrence into view, even when the same song appears more than once. • Verified Pro or Ultimate access stays intact while App Store identity is temporarily unavailable or changing accounts. FIXED • Purchase, restore, automatic entitlement refresh, and transaction errors no longer overwrite one another. • Community preview retries reopen the complete source image instead of reading an exhausted stream. Multichannel output depends on the track, device, audio route, and system settings.

Make UltraPod’s click wheel your own. Style the outer and inner rings separately with a theme, color, custom image, or the player body, then choose a classic, frosted, or liquid-glass finish. NEW • Customize the two click-wheel rings independently. • Use frosted and liquid finishes that match Home Now Playing. IMPROVED • Multi-disc M4A, M4B, and CAF albums now follow embedded disc and track order. • Existing Local Files are repaired offline—no reimport or library reset required. • Temporary Community connection problems no longer sign you out. • Published themes and icon packs can be updated through reviewed revisions. FIXED • Older themes and icon packs skip only settings they do not contain instead of failing. • .upodicons files can be selected directly from the document picker. • Song identity, repeated playlist entries, and playlist order remain intact during metadata repair.

Local music libraries now read Chinese MP3 tags correctly and keep albums in the right disc-and-track order. Existing libraries are repaired offline, with no reimport. IMPROVED • Faster, steadier track changes in very large Apple Music libraries on iOS 16 and later. • Artwork and the blurred background now transition together; rapid skips no longer bring back stale artwork. • Chinese lyrics follow your Simplified or Traditional Chinese setting without changing lyric files. • The Classic Player widget gains six new finishes, and custom widget frames can now be safely deleted. FIXED • Numeric editors fully display three-digit, negative, and decimal values. • Alerts, confirmations, and text prompts appear more reliably, especially on iOS 15.

Build the Home Screen player you want with the new Widget Studio. Twenty-eight frame themes now include dedicated Small, Medium, and Large compositions—84 layouts in total. NEW • Precisely edit artwork, text, progress, playback controls, position, size, and layer order. • New presets can generate Home previews automatically and sync to Theme Community. Older, imported, and downloaded presets are never republished automatically. IMPROVED • Widget progress stays accurate across Apple Music, Local Files, and Subsonic when you pause, seek, change tracks, or use 0.1×–2.0× playback speed. • Community and preset previews now use consistent device framing, while upload errors identify the file, cause, and next step. FIXED • Apple Music restores the correct queue for the first Play, Previous, or Next action after a cold launch. • Local Files shuffle no longer always starts from the first track. • Alerts and text prompts present more reliably on iOS 15.

Give every app on your Home Screen a new UltraPod identity with nine handcrafted icon themes. NEW • Explore nine complete collections, including Analog Future, Impossible Garden, Duck Parade, Black Cat Tales, and more. • Pro includes three new collections; Ultimate unlocks all nine. IMPROVED • Theme and preset previews now use more consistent sizing and framing. • Launch, playback queue recovery, and long-list scrolling are more reliable and responsive. • Shared themes from newer versions import compatible settings and skip unavailable icons instead of failing entirely. • Reopen What’s New anytime from Settings. More Home Screen widget options are planned for a coming update.
