Survive three historic outbreaks as a plague doctor. Manage infection, brew remedies, balance rival factions, and face the cost of every choice. Every remedy has a price. Every alliance has consequences. Every day may be your last. Pestilence is a text-driven historical survival strategy game in which you take the role of a plague doctor confronting three of history’s most infamous outbreaks. Endure the Black Death of 1348, the Great Plague of London in 1665, and the Soho cholera outbreak of 1854. Manage your health, infection, finances and public standing as each decision changes the course of the quarantine. Treat the sick. Investigate disturbing reports. Brew remedies from scarce ingredients. Bargain with clergy, nobility, commoners and apothecaries—and decide who receives aid when everyone cannot be saved. Features • Three historical outbreaks with distinct events and pressures • Three campaign lengths, from a 15-day quarantine to a 40-day survival challenge • Hundreds of choices, rare encounters and branching consequences • Four competing factions whose support can preserve—or destroy—you • Alchemy, recipes, supplies and clinic upgrades • Dynamic seasonal conditions and escalating Acts • Achievements and long-term career statistics • Accessibility support including adjustable text size and Reduce Motion • Offline play with no account required Survive the outbreak, preserve your reputation and leave your mark on history.
