This update brings iPhone up to date with several releases at once. Voice and audio • Playback moved to a new audio engine, and calls now have a ringback tone so you know the phone is ringing. • Game and Academy earcons have been re-pitched so the phone's own vibration no longer masks them. • If your media volume is down, the app now tells you why you cannot hear anything. Your profile • Add a bio, a designation, and what you are studying and where. • Save is reachable without dozens of swipes. • Saving a bio no longer clears your location. Messages and friends • Messages say which day they were sent, not just a clock time. • The chat header leads somewhere, and dictation always tells you it is listening. • A profile completion strip on Friends, measured against the real community. • The Friends tab no longer breaks when a request is refused. Explore • See who is coming to an event, and place an order for products. • Every attendee list uses a verb that matches what it does: Register, Enrol, Book, Apply, Place order. Academy • Practice opens straight on the topics, with no mode to choose first. • Mock tests come from the real question bank. Also fixed • Signing out now fully signs you out, so signing back in with a different method lands you in the right account. • Shared discussions carry what was said, and a shared link opens correctly. • Group alerts reach the whole group, and an open thread can be liked.

Calls, chat and voice rooms are a lot clearer this time. Calls - A call no longer says it is connected before the other person has picked up. It tells you when it is ringing, and when they answer. - Calls now reach a friend whose app is closed. Their phone rings. - A call that is not answered stops ringing after 45 seconds and leaves a missed call. - You are told whether a call was declined, unanswered, or ended. Voice rooms - Every room says how many people are inside before you enter it. - Joining a room from a group now opens the call screen, instead of tucking it away. Chat - Reply to any message. The message you replied to is read out first, so you can follow a conversation you were not there for. - Every message you send says whether it has been read. - A marker shows where you left off, so you do not have to listen back to find your place. - Shake to dictate now works as soon as you open a chat, without opening the keyboard first. Friends - Friends show when they were last active, instead of just Offline. Also: alerts now say what a post actually is, so a course is announced as a course. Signing up asks for your details on one screen.

Sign up from any country. The mobile number field now lets you choose your country and dialling code instead of assuming +91, so members outside India can create an account. Verify your mobile number. Account, then Edit Profile, now lets you confirm your number by SMS. Verifying links it to your account so it can sign you in later. Calling your friends is easier to find. The call button now appears on a friend's profile as well as in the Friends list, and an incoming call shows a full screen with the caller's name, Answer and Decline — and it rings. A clearer welcome. The opening line now names all persons with disabilities rather than only visually impaired members. Also in this release: your city, state and country fill in from your location; a Done button on number keypads for Android; the disability question is filled in for existing members; and a proper About page.

CALLS THAT ACTUALLY RING Your phone now rings when a friend calls you, and the call arrives on a full screen with their name and large Answer and Reject buttons. Until now an incoming call was one short buzz and a small dialog, which was easy to miss completely with the phone in a pocket. CALLING IS WHERE YOU LOOK FOR IT Call buttons now sit on a friend's profile and on every row of your friends list, instead of being hidden inside a menu. A REAL ABOUT PAGE What Suo Moto means, what the app is for, and links to Suomoto Academy, YouTube and Instagram. You can also invite a friend from the Account tab, with the message already written for you. TELL US WHO YOU ARE Onboarding now asks your type of disability: visual, hearing, locomotor, other, or none. Nothing you have already told us is lost. "ME" IS NOW "ACCOUNT" The last tab was called Me, and members told us they could not find their settings, their profile or support inside it. LINKS YOU SHARE NOW WORK Job and discussion links you send to friends open the right screen, and offer the App Store to anyone who does not have the app yet. Several of these links were broken. GAMES Your table and the friends you invited stay on screen when you leave the Games tab and come back, so you can see who has joined, whose phone is still ringing, and who said no. Alerts are also no longer read aloud with the names of emoji in them.

GAMES THAT ACTUALLY OPEN Joining a game at someone's table used to put you in the voice room with no game in it. Every game now opens properly. Games are grouped into Learn and Play, so a game and its trainer are one thing instead of two, and while you are playing you stay in the game with one clear Exit button instead of wandering out through the tabs. GAME INVITES NOW RING Invite friends to a game and their phone rings, like a group call, with a Join button that puts them straight at your table. Anyone offline still gets a notification. You can see who is coming - joined, ringing, notified, no answer, or declined - so you are never waiting on someone who already said no. Chess works this way too now, instead of reading a code aloud. PLAY THE QUIZ ON YOUR OWN Eight questions from Suomoto Academy's exam bank, with the answer explained after each one. No timer and nobody waiting, so you can take as long as you need, and hear any question again. At the end it shows what you missed and why. HOUSIE WITH A KITTY Set a ticket price when you host. The app works out the pool and announces each winner with the amount they have won, so nobody has to do the arithmetic aloud. JOBS, REBUILT Every job now opens on its own page, so moving to the next job in the list is one swipe instead of twenty. Each card leads with what matters - whether applications are open, the date that counts at this stage, and how many posts are reserved for Visually Impaired candidates. Vacancy numbers, closing dates and scribe and extra-time rules now come straight from the official notification instead of being guessed, and are read out as words rather than strings of digits. SIMPLER DISCUSSIONS Posting is one short form. Each post is one item to swipe past, with a single Actions button holding like, reply, share and report. Replies now show their likes and let you open the profile of whoever wrote them. QUIETER NOTIFICATIONS Messages from one person are grouped into a single alert instead of one per message, and there is a switch in Account to turn notifications off entirely while keeping your history. EASIER TO USE BY EAR AND WITH LOW VISION Every category and filter is one control you can swipe or tap up and down. Form fields announce their own labels. In chat the corner holds one button - voice when the box is empty, Send once you have typed - so it is always in the same place. CHESS AND ACADEMY A touch chess board using the international letter names used in blind chess, with lessons, puzzles, and matches against the app or a friend. Suomoto Academy's practice now opens inside the app. FIXES Image descriptions, voice-note transcription and the job assistant work again after an external service was retired. Sound stays on the speaker during games. Discussions no longer crash when opened. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE Accepting a game invite no longer joins you to the room twice, so you will not hear your own voice echo back, and End Call now really ends the call. Every screen moves focus to its heading when it opens, so VoiceOver starts at the top instead of somewhere in the middle. Chapters and question lists are marked up as lists you can move through with the rotor. You can pick more than one target exam in Account, or set one from a job post. The filters in Prepare, Practice, Progress and Performance show only your exams plus All, and stay in sync with suomoto.academy. Practice tests are loaded for every chapter. Liking a post now records who liked it, and Dislike is gone. Shake to dictate is easier to trigger, and the message box says you can double tap to type or shake to dictate. Notifications and Shake to dictate are switches now instead of checkboxes. Chat no longer appears in the notification bell, and unread messages are counted on the Messages tab.

This update brings two big new things, plus all the fixes you told us about. NEW: CHESS, BUILT FOR BLIND PLAYERS A full chess trainer you never need to see. Learn the Anna-Bella alphabet used in blind tournaments, explore any square, practise how each piece moves, solve mate-in-one puzzles, then play the computer at five levels or another member. Every move is announced the way it is called out across the board in a real game, captures and castling included. There is also a Chess group for tournament and state-association news, and a place to find other players. NEW: PREPARE WITH SUOMOTO ACADEMY Exam preparation modules from Suomoto Academy now open full screen inside the app, rebuilt for touch and screen-reader gestures instead of keyboard shortcuts - and only one voice speaks at a time. GAMES PLAY PROPERLY NOW - Leaving and rejoining no longer adds you to the lobby twice, so player counts are real again. - Rejoining puts you back in your own seat, with your own role and word - no more everyone seeing different words. - A round waits for every living player to vote before it ends, and eliminated players can no longer vote. - After each round you hear who was voted out, with how many votes, and who is still playing. - Ties are now genuine ties instead of the default result. THE SCREEN STAYS ON WHILE YOU PLAY Listening is not idling. The display no longer locks during a game or a call, and locking your phone no longer ends the call - so you can put it in your pocket and keep listening. EASIER TO MOVE AROUND WITH VOICEOVER - The two-finger scrub gesture now goes back from any screen. - Tabs announce where you are: "Explore, tab 1 of 6" - including the sub-tabs in Community, Friends and Jobs. - The number keypad now has a Done button, so it no longer traps you. - We went back through every screen with VoiceOver on, and with large text and high contrast. Controls that could not be reached now work, swiping through a list no longer stops on decorative arrows, admin actions sit under a clear Actions menu, and faint borders and text have been darkened. SIGNING IN Sign in with Apple or Google. Both bring you back to the same account on a new phone or after reinstalling - the old mobile-number signup could not. JOB ALERTS Alerts are now headed "Job Updates", and tapping one opens that job instead of the home screen. PRIVACY The app no longer asks for camera access. It never used it.

This update is a big accessibility release, based on feedback from blind and low-vision members. • Better VoiceOver reading of forms — a single swipe now reads the field name, what you have entered, and the field type together, instead of two separate stops. • Buttons and menus are no longer read out with long, repetitive instructions. • Headings, lists and choice options are properly labelled, so you can navigate by heading and hear "3 of 12" in lists. • Expandable cards, poll choices and Save now announce their state correctly. • Swipe-back now works from anywhere on the screen, not just the very edge. • Find Friends: much more accurate match percentages, a new Best match / Nearby sort, and match strength now based on real distance. • Date of birth is read naturally, for example "25th November, 1990". • Consistent text size across community lists, and clearer disabled buttons. • Fixed an issue that could stop you ending a call from the small call bar.

New in this update: • A new Cricket & Sports community — follow matches, blind cricket and para-sports, and connect with fellow fans. • Quick replies in chat — tap a suggested message to send it instantly, so starting a conversation is faster and fully accessible. • Fixed the group "Invite Friends" button, which sometimes did nothing. • A cleaner, tabbed admin area for the team. • Smaller accessibility and reliability improvements throughout.

New in this update: • Direct Messages — start a private, one-to-one chat with any member. Fully accessible with VoiceOver, with new-message alerts and an easy inbox. • Member options — from any group's member list, swipe up or down to view a profile, send a message, send a friend request, or (for group admins) make someone an admin or remove them. • Two new communities — All India University Students and All India Bankers. • Richer profiles — see a member's city and state, and message them in one tap. • Cleaner, more accessible group cards, and a more accurate member count.

New in this update: • Research Studies — take part in accessibility research from universities and non-profits. Browse studies you're eligible for, give consent, and answer short, screen-reader-friendly surveys. Opt in anytime from your profile. • Communities — join groups like The RP Network and Apple Accessibility during sign-up or later, each with its own live voice room, discussions, announcements and events. • Group Polls — admins run single or multiple-choice polls; members vote anytime with VoiceOver and TalkBack. Edit or delete your announcements and polls from the Actions menu. • Faster sign-up — just your name and mobile number to start; everything else is optional, with easy swipe pickers for gender, status, sector and date of birth. • Find Friends — suggested friends with match percentage and mutual friends, right after sign-up. • Many accessibility fixes: clearer menus, cleaner group cards, speakable birthdays, and better screen-reader labels throughout.

New in this update: • Two new accessible multiplayer games — Housie / Tambola and Quiz / Trivia — played live in voice rooms with numbers and questions read aloud. • Sign in with Google now returns you to the app correctly. • Find Friends shows a profile match percentage, and you get friend birthday reminders. • Tap Friends or Followers on any profile to see the full list. • Forum: personalised sorting by your interests and clearer categories. • Organisations can edit or delete their posts, with separate contact and price fields and one-tap calling. • A Done button on the keyboard for every text field, photo attach fixed, and many more VoiceOver refinements.
