US version users should uninstall the standalone Apple Watch app before using this companion app, and ensure that both this iPhone companion app and the Apple Watch app remain running in the background during use. Non-US Apple Watch users and those who do not need to use the iPhone lock screen widgets can download the standalone Apple Watch version of the app for a lighter user experience.
