Version 1.8.0 adds a full business layer and a cast of people who act on motives of their own. • START A BUSINESS. Lease a storefront and open your doors without buying real estate first. Choose the type, the neighborhood, and the size, then build it up while the income ramps over the first year and the rent comes due from day one. • RUN A REAL COMPANY. Form an LLC and decide how to fund it, from your own savings to a round from friends and family, a coworker who buys in, or an angel investor you go out and network to find. Raise capital as you grow, buy partners back out when you are flush, and divide the whole company among your heirs in your will. • PEOPLE WITH CHARACTER. The people in your life now have a temperament. A loyal friend or a devoted partner will come through when things are hard, while someone ruthless or unfaithful may act against you first, so a partner can be the one who strays and a rival at work can move against you. • CLEARER ESTATE PLANNING. Your will now shows the share you actually control, since a surviving spouse keeps their legal portion no matter what you write, and that portion is spelled out when your heir takes over. • A CLEANER, FASTER APP. New icons, haptics, detail panels that slide up from the bottom, larger controls, and clearer type make the whole game easier to read and quicker to play.

This is the biggest update yet (it's also our first), built around what makes a dynasty a dynasty. THE FAMILY LEGACY Your reputation now outlives you. Every generation builds or spends the family name, and a strong name gives each heir who follows a real head start in life. WEALTH, PUT TO WORK Once you have made your fortune, there is finally something meaningful to do with it. You can give to local causes, endow a family foundation that carries your name for generations, or run for city council or mayor and steer the town yourself. A PROPER SEND-OFF When a character dies, an In Memoriam looks back on the life they lived, and you can revisit past generations at their graves any time.
