Turning on reminders is easier. If you said no to notifications before, Lawn Logic now gives you a button that opens the right screen in Settings, and it notices the moment you switch them on. Setting up a new lawn is quicker. Once you've entered your location and grass type, you can finish right away and fine-tune the rest later in Settings. The app and the evening reminder now agree on wording: when your lawn needs water, both say "tomorrow morning" after 8 AM. If one of your zones can't load, you can now switch to your other zones right from that screen.

This update makes the app much more dependable when the weather service is having a slow moment, based on your feedback. If part of the weather data is slow to arrive, the app now works from what it has instead of giving up, and it tries again before showing an error. If it still can't connect, you'll see the last weather it loaded today, with a note saying when, rather than an error screen. We also fixed a bug that could make evening readings look wetter than they were and label an evening recommendation as "this morning." Your soil moisture numbers may shift slightly after updating. They're now more accurate.

This update is about your evening reminder, based on your feedback. If you have more than one zone, the reminder now names every lawn and says what each one needs, instead of telling you about only one. Tapping it opens the zone it's talking about. There's also a new "Tonight's plan" card on the home screen that shows every zone at a glance, so what the reminder said and what the app shows always match. The Future Predictor now respects your watering restrictions when it picks a morning, so it won't send you out on a day your town doesn't allow. And a few cleanups: switching households no longer leaves you getting the old household's reminders, and backing out of adding a new zone no longer leaves an empty one behind.

A follow-up to the calendar, based on your feedback. Work you mark done now stays done. There was a bug where a completed task could quietly come back as a suggestion weeks later — aerate in August, and the app might tell you to aerate again in October. Fixed. The strip at the top of the calendar is now a real six-week grid. You can see the weeks ahead at a glance, with a dot on every day that has work on it, and tapping a day jumps straight to that task. And once you have built a season plan, the plan tasks move to the top of the page where they belong. Regenerating is still one tap, just further down and out of the way.

A LAWN CALENDAR Watering was only ever half the job. Lawn Logic now tracks the rest of the year too — mowing, feeding, aeration, overseeding, weed control and the rest. Timing comes from your grass type, so a fescue lawn and a bermuda lawn get opposite advice in the same month. That is not a quirk: cool-season grass is fed in autumn and rested through summer heat, and warm-season grass is the exact inverse. Getting that backwards is how lawns get damaged. Open the Calendar tab and it already knows what is worth doing over the next few weeks. Tap to schedule, or add your own jobs. HOW TO ACTUALLY DO IT Every job now explains itself. Tap "How to do it" for the method and a worked example — rent the aerator rather than buy one, water the day before so the tines reach depth, make two passes at right angles, leave the plugs where they fall. Overseeding tells you it is about 6 lb per 1,000 sq ft, so roughly 30 lb for a typical lawn. WHAT'S NEXT, ON YOUR LAWN SCREEN A quiet line at the top now tells you the next job and when it is due, so the thing you meant to do in September stops quietly becoming October. PRO — YOUR SEASON, PLANNED Builds the whole calendar around your lawn: grass type, soil, shade and location. It sequences the work properly — dethatch, then aerate, then seed, then a starter feed — and explains why each date is the right one for your lawn rather than lawns in general. It knows not to lay a pre-emergent over new seed. Sage knows your calendar now as well, so asking when to aerate gets an answer that matches your plan instead of contradicting it. FIXED On the day before mowing, the app held off watering without checking the forecast first — so it could tell you to water on a day that had rain coming. It now checks the rain before deferring, and respects your watering restrictions when it moves the day. Thank you to the person who spotted it.

LOOK AROUND FIRST You no longer need an account to try Lawn Logic. Tap "Continue as guest" and go straight to setting up a lawn. Add an account whenever you like and everything comes with you — zones, settings, watering history. REDEEM A CODE Got a promo code for Pro? FIXED: EVENING REMINDERS If your daily watering reminder stopped arriving — or never started — this update fixes it. Some devices failed to finish registering for notifications, so the evening heads-up had nowhere to go. Nothing to do on your end; just update. You can confirm under Settings → Notification Preferences. A NEW SETUP Setting up a lawn is now one question per screen, in plain language, with an explanation of why each answer matters. Grass type, soil, and shade are tappable cards instead of dropdowns. TWO LAWNS, TWO ANSWERS Setup now offers to add a second zone at the end. Front and back yards dry out differently, and each zone gets its own daily answer. SPRINKLER TIMING, WHEN IT'S USEFUL We stopped asking how many minutes your sprinklers take to put down an inch before you'd ever used the app — nobody knows that without going outside with a tuna can. Lawn Logic now asks once you've logged a watering session, and walks you through measuring it.

Today's heat warning and the best time to run your sprinklers moved into that same card instead of sitting around it. The arc is not a score. Letting your soil ride down toward its trigger is what drives roots deeper, so a lower number is often the app working correctly. MY LAWN / DETAILS The app is now split in two. My Lawn answers one question: water today or not. Details holds the 14-day moisture trend, the full forecast, and every number behind the recommendation. DORMANCY DETECTION When sustained cold puts your grass to sleep, Lawn Logic now recognizes it and stops calling for water. Dormant grass can't use water, and watering it anyway invites disease. The home screen shifts to winter straw so you can see that the app knows. SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE FIX Seasons were running six months out of phase below the equator — a lawn in Australia in January was being treated as though it were mid-winter. Corrected in the app and in the evening forecast check. We’ve made our watering recommendations much smarter and more cohesive in this release. Previously, the Primary Recommendation, Temperature Alert, and Future Predictor cards ran on separate logic loops that didn't talk to each other. Now, they operate as a unified engine.
