• Big 3 total, volume trends, and per-lift strength charts
• Muscle map and muscle-balance radar
• Training heatmap, workout duration, and body-composition trends
• Monthly report with month-over-month deltas
YOUR DATA, YOURS
• 100% offline-first: no account and no signal required
• Sign in with Apple or Google to back up and restore for free
• Apple Health integration — finished workouts saved automatically, body-weight import, other apps’ workouts in your history (all optional)
• Export your data anytime; delete your account in-app
GO PRO
An optional auto-renewing subscription removes the free tier's one-workout-per-day limit and unlocks the deeper analytics panels plus hands-off background sync across your devices. Everything else — all 23 programs, the full exercise library, and every logging feature — stays free.

Light weight, baby. Now go lift it.
more All you need for all types of weight lifters.
All you need for all types of weight lifters.
Your settings now stay put on a new account and across devices, and an open workout is never replaced without asking. 5/3/1 for Beginners counts both weekly sessions before raising a training max, StrongLifts-style programs count weeks as you train them, and renamed routines update everywhere right away.
1.6.8 8h ago
Programs now move through their days: fixed programs like PHUL and PPL no longer repeat day 1, and deleting a past workout no longer freezes StrongLifts or 5/3/1. Your PR history stays intact on a new phone, bodyweight volumes are corrected, screens refresh after syncing, and exercise thumbnails in the picker always match their names.
1.6.7 1d ago
A paused workout timer now stays paused when you leave the app. Pro prices retry on their own when the store is slow, and Community no longer sends you back to Home when it asks you to set up your ID. On Android, the app is smaller and its database is faster.
1.6.6 4d ago
Your workout stays put: numbers you typed ahead survive leaving the app, and the app no longer jumps back to Home on its own. Prev finds your last real session even after a skipped day, Recent lists only lifts you actually did, and editing a past workout celebrates only real PRs. Personal records now remember the workout that earned them.
1.6.5 5d ago
• Shared phones: each account now sees only its own data and keeps its own backup.
• Weights follow the unit you chose per exercise — on your Apple Watch too.
• Edit a saved workout and fix completed sets in place.
• Rest days and deleted routines no longer block your backup.
• If you plan with RIR, an existing unstarted plan's effort target is shown once as RPE (e.g. 2 → 8) — same target, new display.
• Android: the routine menu can be dismissed again.
• Many fixes to planner input, units, and the free daily limit.
1.6.4 Sep 19
• Share routines with the community and add shared routines to your library.
• See your previous sets while planning a workout.
• Bodyweight exercises now appear on muscle maps, including core exercises such as Dead Bug.
• Fixed a crash when copying a workout as text.
1.6.3 Sep 17
Community notifications
- A bell in the Community header and a dot on the Community tab tell you when someone liked your post, commented on it, replied in a thread you commented on, or followed you.
- Tap a notification to open the post or the profile. Likes on one post are grouped into a single row.
- The dot shows from app launch and clears when you open the list.
- Community people search no longer capitalizes what you type.
1.6.2 Sep 14
FIXES FROM LAUNCH WEEK
- Your music keeps playing when you open the app and when a set completes.
- A workout you forgot to finish yesterday can be finished or discarded from that day in the calendar.
- 12.5 lb stays 12.5 lb in the PR banner, history and prefill. Routine weights accept decimals.
- Muscle Balance and the monthly report count working sets per muscle group, so bodyweight and core work show up.
- Supersets are shown as groups in history and on the share card.
- Community: "Post to Community" sits above the share targets, the tab returns to the feed after posting, and posts show weights in your unit.
1.6.1 Sep 13
COMMUNITY
A new Community tab: see workouts and posts from other lifters, post your own finished workouts, like and comment, follow people, and save a shared workout as your own routine. Every post is filtered before it appears; you can report, hide and block, and deleting your account removes everything you posted.
WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
The app now opens from its last known account state when there is no connection, so logging keeps working in a basement gym.
1.6.0 Sep 10
APPLE WATCH: THE REST COUNTDOWN KEEPS COUNTING
Lower your wrist during a rest and raise it again: the numbers no longer turn into "--" and freeze. While the display is dimmed the watch shows minutes only ("2 min"), and seconds come back the moment you look.
STEADIER WATCH SESSIONS
If the watch app relaunches mid-workout it checks with your iPhone before treating a recovered session as live, so nothing invented ever reaches Apple Health. If the watch session stops on its own, the iPhone saves the workout instead. A session that fails to start keeps the workout on your wrist.
SMALL FIXES
Sticker sharing: the badge card fits its content and centers it; the photo row has two clear tiles, Add photo and Take photo.
1.5.9 Sep 7
STICKERS THAT SIT ON YOUR PHOTO
Share workout now has a Sticker mode. Put your own photo behind the sticker (add one or take one right there), pick a style, and send photo and sticker to Instagram Story together, where you can move and resize it. Save keeps a transparent PNG for any other app.
FOUR STICKER STYLES
Badge names the muscle groups you trained, with one figure and your volume. PR marks a new personal record. Stats is just the numbers. Muscles is the front and back figures, now bold enough to read on any photo.
CARDS STAY
The Story, Stats, Detail and Text cards are one tap away under Card, unchanged.
1.5.8 Sep 4
FIND EXERCISES FASTER
Add Exercises now opens on your recent exercises, with body-part and equipment filters always visible. The list is grouped into Favorites, Recent (last 30 days, following the filter you tap) and All A-Z, so "the leg exercise I did last week" is one tap away even if you don't know its name.
REORDERING THAT LANDS WHERE YOU LET GO
Dragging an exercise up or down the workout now follows your finger smoothly and drops exactly where you release, including inside supersets. VoiceOver users can move rows with the adjustable swipe.
YOUR DEVICES IN ONE PLACE
Settings has a new Devices group. Apple Watch gets its own setup screen with a checklist that ticks itself: paired, app installed, Health allowed. Apple Health has its own screen that explains what is read and written before asking.
A QUIETER AI LABEL
The monthly report's AI-written reading now carries a small AI tag instead of a sentence.
1.5.7 Sep 3
ONE-SIDED EXERCISES COUNT THE WAY YOU LIFT THEM
For single-arm and single-leg exercises the set row now says "Reps / side": log the weight on the working side and the reps for one side, and the volume counts both. Exercises done with a pair of dumbbells say "lb / hand" (or kg). Alternating exercises take total reps. Goblet squats and other one-dumbbell lifts are no longer counted twice.
THE PLANNER MATCHES THE WORKOUT
The routine planner shows the same "Reps / side" and "per hand" headers as the live workout, so a planned set means the same thing when you do it.
CUSTOM EXERCISES KNOW THEIR SIDES
When you create or edit a custom exercise you can set Sides (both together, one at a time, alternating) and, for dumbbells and kettlebells, whether you use one or a pair.
YOUR HISTORY IS RECALCULATED ONCE
On first launch the app recomputes past volume for the affected exercises so trends stay consistent. Totals for those exercises change, and their max-volume records are rebuilt from the recalculated sets.
A SHORT READING OF YOUR MONTH
The monthly report opens with two sentences on what stood out this month, written from the report's own numbers.
THE HOME SCREEN TELLS YOU WHEN A MONTH IS READY
When a month closes, Home shows a line that opens its report, and the report reminder is easier to reach.
1.5.6 Sep 3
RATE THE APP FROM INSIDE IT
Settings now has a Rate This App row, next to Send Feedback. It opens the standard rating sheet without taking you out of the app.
MACHINE BRANDS SHOW UP RIGHT AWAY
Create a custom exercise with a machine brand and the brand now appears immediately — in the list you created it from and on the set row you add it to. It used to stay blank until you left and reopened the screen. The new exercise also comes back already ticked, so you don't have to find it again.
1.5.5 Sep 1
COUNTDOWN BEEPS NOW FOLLOW YOUR RING SWITCH
The 3-2-1 rest countdown used to play even with the phone silenced, because it was a plain on/off setting that was on by default. It is now three choices — off, only when your phone isn't silenced, or always — and it defaults to respecting the switch. At your first rest timer the app asks once which you want, so nothing surprises you in a quiet room.
WORKOUT LOCATION IN APPLE HEALTH
Turn on Settings > Apple Health > Workout Location and each workout gets a map pin on its Apple Health entry, the way the built-in workout app does it. One location check when the workout starts — never tracking, and off unless you turn it on.
SETTINGS, REDESIGNED
Settings now reads like the rest of the app: your account and backup status answer "is my data safe?" at the top, and every group is a clean list instead of a stack of boxes.
MONTHLY REPORT, MORE HONEST
• A month that follows an empty one no longer claims "up 100%" — coming back from nothing isn't a doubling, so the report says nothing rather than something wrong
• A muscle group that didn't actually move is no longer listed as a comparison
• Leave the app open past midnight and your home screen, week strip and report banner now roll over to the new day instead of staying on yesterday
ALSO
• Logging a past workout no longer starts a rest timer and countdown for a workout you already finished
1.5.3 Sep 1
A redesign of the whole app, built on one idea: every screen answers one question, with one number big enough to read mid-set.
HOME
Opens on what to do today — the workout in progress, or the one you planned, or your program's next day. Your week and recent sessions sit right below; the calendar, Big 3, goals and achievements are one tap away.
LIBRARY
Search is always on screen now. Your favorites, your own exercises and your routines each have a row, the exercises you actually repeat are listed before the catalog, and muscle and equipment each get their own line of filters — so "chest + dumbbell" no longer means scrolling back and forth.
ANALYTICS
One hero number — this week's volume against last week's — over a row per insight. Each opens full screen with room to breathe: volume trend, strength progress, muscle balance, muscle map, training frequency, workout duration, body composition and your PR history.
FINISH SCREEN
The day's biggest news leads. Set a record you actually lifted and it headlines; otherwise it's the volume you moved against your average. Underneath, the muscles you just trained, shaded by what that session actually did to them.
ALSO
• Body Composition can show BMI — add your height during setup or in Settings > Profile
• Program detail, schedule and catalog screens rebuilt to match
• Long personal-record names no longer overlap the line beneath them
1.5.1 Aug 26
Share your workout to Instagram Stories.
• A Story-shaped card showing the muscles you worked, in your training colours
• A transparent version, so you can put the card over your own photo or video
• A separate card on days you set a personal record
• Swipe between cards, then send straight to Instagram, Messages, WhatsApp, or Photos
• Clearer rest-timer countdown tone on the phone speaker
1.4.1 Aug 20
Editing a routine is far easier to read: each exercise is one line, so you can see the whole routine at once, and you open one to change its numbers. Reordering has its own screen where you drag exercises into place.
Settings has been rebuilt: everything now lives in four clear groups, with your account, sync status and plan together at the top.
New machine exercises can carry their brand, so each machine keeps its own weights instead of sharing them.
The rest timer's final tone is easier on the ears and carries better on a phone speaker. Terms and Privacy now open in your language, and the app explains itself properly when it can't reach the server.
1.4.0 Aug 19
Community is on its way — this update adds a Community tab with a preview of what's coming: a feed built from real logged sessions, routines you can pull straight from other lifters, and follow/block/report controls from day one. We're opening the doors gradually; you'll see it here the moment it's ready, no update required.
Also in this release:
• Cleaner workout labels when sharing a session (dates and exercise names instead of internal ids)
• Weight values in shared workouts now round sensibly (22.7 kg, not 22.67964…)
• Reliability fixes across sync and account sign-in
1.3.0 Aug 16
This update tidies up the exercise library.
CLEARER EXERCISE NAMES
- Around 90 exercises now follow one consistent naming standard - Seated Dumbbell Curl, Single-Leg Barbell Squat, Smith Machine Bench Press, and so on.
- Old names still find their exercise in search, so nothing gets lost.
DUPLICATES MERGED
- Ten pairs that were the same movement listed under two names are now a single exercise.
- Your history, personal records and goals move to the surviving exercise automatically - nothing to do on your side.
MORE ACCURATE MUSCLE GROUPS
- Loaded carries now count as forearms, bodyweight conditioning as core, and the one-arm snatch as shoulders, so your muscle map reflects what you actually trained.
Plus: five exercises gained demonstration animations.
1.2.1 Aug 13
This update makes your library smarter and your logging faster.
EXERCISE LIBRARY
- Import from past workouts: expand a day, pick individual exercises, even across several dates
- Multi-select filter chips, plus new Cable and Other categories
- Catalog aligned with NSCA standards: clearer names (Back Squat, Bent-Over Row) and corrected muscle classifications - your history, PRs and goals carry over, and old names still work in search
- Custom exercises get their own tab
WORKOUTS
- Countdown beeps in the final seconds of a rest - they sound even with the screen locked
- Rest countdown stays visible above the keypad
- Collapse an exercise card to keep long sessions tidy
- Programs can follow your training weekdays for accurate scheduling
MONTHLY REPORT
- Full-screen story with clearer insights, and a comeback summary when you return after a break
Plus: effort (RPE) tracking is now optional, choose your week start day, and fixes for a vibration bug in the options sheet.
1.2.0 Aug 12
APPLE WATCH COMPANION
Your watch now buzzes your wrist the moment a rest period ends — even while your phone is in your hand. Start a workout on iPhone and the watch follows along, showing the current set and a countdown ring through every rest.
APPLE HEALTH
• Finished workouts are saved to Apple Health — with or without a watch. Discarded ones never are.
• Deleting a workout in GoLightWeight now removes its Apple Health entry too.
• New: see workouts recorded by other apps in your day history (Settings toggle, off by default).
80 NEW EXERCISES (379 → 459)
• Olympic lifts — clean, snatch, jerk, thruster and their variations
• Forearms — wrist curls, wrist roller, farmer's carry, dead hang
• Kettlebell — swing, Turkish get-up, clean and press, windmill and more
• Resistance bands — chest press, row, pull-apart, face pull, monster walk
• Conditioning and calisthenics — burpee, box jump, sled push, dragon flag, L-sit, muscle-up
• New Kettlebell and Band equipment filters
SMARTER RECORDS
• Bodyweight moves (push-ups, ab wheel, dips…) now set rep records instead of nonsense weight records.
• Volume now counts only the weight you actually lift — bodyweight no longer inflates your totals. Past workouts are recalculated automatically.
FIXES
• Kettlebell Swing volume was being counted twice. It is now correct — past workouts keep the numbers they were logged with.
• A newly saved routine no longer shows "0 exercises" in the routine list.
• Set the rest timer more precisely.
1.1.0 Aug 7
This update is mostly about your data staying exactly as you left it.
Fixed
• Deleted workouts stay deleted. Deletions now sync between your devices instead of reappearing after a restore.
• Per-exercise units survive signing up. A set entered in pounds could previously be saved as kilograms.
• A backup that fails now says so. It used to report success even when nothing was saved.
• Opening an enrolled program no longer restarts it.
• Planned workouts start correctly and stay editable.
• Strength Progress is charted in each exercise's own unit.
New
• Settings follow your account. Units, bodyweight, rest timer, bar weight, goal and effort scale now arrive on every device you sign in on.
• "Replace backup with this device" in Settings clears out workouts you deleted before this update but that are still in your backup.
• Notes moved onto the exercise, with pinned tips and a look back at what you wrote last time.
Workout screen
• Delete any set, not just the last one. Swipe-to-delete is gone — the Delete button on the exercise card is now the single path.
• Add Set continues the block's scheme (pyramid, drop, top + backoff) instead of copying the last set.
• Load types read as Bodyweight, Weighted and Assisted, and the machine you picked is shown.
• Swap an exercise without losing its place in the workout.
• Warmup and drop sets are marked on shared workout cards.
• The app follows your device language on first launch.
1.0.3 Jul 28
Deleting sets is now more reliable in workout and planner screens: swipe left anywhere on an eligible set row, then tap Delete. Workout sharing now includes every recorded exercise and set in Stats, Detail, and Text, with scrollable previews for longer workouts. Stats and Detail cards can also be saved directly to Photos with a clean, solid background.
1.0.2 Jul 22
• Plan workouts ahead and edit planned exercises with the same controls used during an active workout.
• Improved workout and rest timers, exercise search, workout summaries, sharing, and accessibility.
• Additional stability, privacy, and performance improvements.
1.0.1 Jul 21
Your settings now stay put on a new account and across devices, and an open workout is never replaced without asking. 5/3/1 for Beginners counts both weekly sessions before raising a training max, StrongLifts-style programs count weeks as you train them, and renamed routines update everywhere right away.
