After a photo scan, the main button on the result screen is now Save meal: one tap and it's logged. To change which meal it goes under, tap the line just above it. On a new install, the Dashboard now starts with Snap your first meal, which opens the camera directly. The app no longer asks about notifications at launch. It asks after your first saved meal, and explains the reminders first. When your free AI scans are used up, the Dashboard, Log Meal and the camera screen now say so before you take a photo, with Manual Entry, which stays free, and See plans. Typing in a grams field now replaces the whole number: changing 150 to 300 gives 300, not 30150. A single item is capped at 5,000 g. The number fields in Set your daily goal work the same way. If notifications are off in Settings, the Meal Reminders switch now shows off, with an Open Settings button, instead of showing on while no reminder arrives. On iOS 17, the Dashboard and Reports could show nothing for days you had logged. The meals were saved; both screens now show them. Before using AI on your meals, the app now tells you that your meal photo, or what you type about the meal, is sent to Google's AI for analysis. Nothing is sent until you tap Continue. The camera and photo permission prompts, the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service now use the app's current name, AI Calorie Camera. The camera prompt said photos weren't shared with third parties. That was wrong: meal photos are sent to Google's AI, and the prompt now says so.

Log Meal has a new card for describing a meal instead of photographing it: type what you ate, or use your keyboard's dictation key, and get an estimate the same way a photo scan does. Say "a bowl of rice" and the app now asks how big it was — Small, Medium, or Large — instead of guessing. Log Meal also has Scan Barcode, for packaged food. Nutrition comes from the Open Food Facts database, credited on the result. Barcode scanning is free, always. The Dashboard has a new Today's Water card. Add a glass with one tap; Undo removes the last one. Meal History has a new Again button, to log a past meal into today without retyping it. The app interface now follows your phone's language for Spanish (Mexico) and Portuguese (Brazil).

Signing in now asks before it moves anything. If you used the app without an account, signing in shows how many meals and weight entries came from this phone, and you choose Import or Don't import. If you already have an email account, you can now sign in to it from Save your progress. Logging out now tells you what stays in your account and what this phone goes back to, and keeps you in the app. Meals you log with a photo now keep a thumbnail, shown in your history. It stays only on this phone — not in your account, not on our servers. Delete Account now permanently deletes your account and all your data — meals, weight, and photos. It can't be undone, and it asks you to confirm first. Contact Support is in Profile. If no mail app is set up, it can now copy our address instead.

Two fixes on the subscription screen. The app now welcomes you to Pro only once Pro is actually on for your account. Until now, that welcome could arrive before Pro had switched on. If it isn't on yet, the screen says so and lets you check again. Prices now stay on one line, in your currency. On some phones they wrapped onto two lines, and some figures were in US dollars even outside the US. Every price on that screen now comes from the App Store.

The screen you see right after you snap a meal has been redone. Your photo fills it now, the calorie estimate is big enough to read at arm's length, and a single line underneath shows where this meal lands in your day — what you'd already eaten, about how much this one adds, and what's left. When we don't know your daily target yet, that line simply shows the estimate range instead. We'd rather show you less than make a number up.

Nothing new on your screen this time. This one is upkeep underneath — the app is back in step with the platform it's built on, so everything you already use keeps working exactly as it does today.

Calorie Puzzle is now AI Calorie Camera. Same app, same history — the name under your icon is what changed. Choosing a photo from your library now works even if you once declined photo access. The link you share with a friend now opens the app's App Store page. The ones you sent earlier landed on a legal and support page — worth sending again.

Portion size is now the first thing you can fix — it's the biggest factor in how accurate a photo estimate can be, so it's no longer buried below the nutrition fields. Save is always within reach: the main action now stays pinned to the bottom instead of hiding at the end of a long form. Calorie ranges are honest about what a photo can tell you.

A clearer name for what this app actually does: point your camera at a plate, get calories and macros. New free plan: 10 AI scans to get started, shown right on the logging screen so you always know where you stand. Manual logging stays free and unlimited — nothing you've already tracked gets locked away. Support is now one tap away in Profile, and prices show in your local currency.
