With the wind layer on, the chart now shades water depth so thin water reads pale before you are on it. Plus: press anywhere on the chart for conditions at that exact spot, and search now finds offshore buoys.

Under way, the chart now turns so the direction you're travelling sits at the top of the screen, and holds steady until you actually change course. A dragging anchor now puts a full alert on your lock screen and keeps it there until you're back inside your swing radius. Tap the compass for north-up. Two-finger rotation is back. Tap a nearby search result to see your boat and that place framed together before you plan the route.

This release rebuilds the chart on a new rendering engine. The map draws faster, stays sharp at every zoom level, and turns with your heading while you're under way. Wind: the forecast overlay now paints across the chart and along a planned route, so you can see the wind you'll actually be in. Trip planning: your water route is visible as soon as you set a destination — tick "Show wind" to lay the forecast over that same map, with cruise speed and a timeline to scrub through the trip. Smaller things you'll notice: your start and destination appear as tags in the search boxes that you can clear with one tap, either field can be set to your current location instantly, and the delete-trip control is easier to read. Under the hood: steadier arrival detection, recorded tracks, and channel markers.

Search harbors, marinas and ramps straight from the chart. Nearby shows what's within 50 miles, numbered on the map, or find the nearest anywhere in one tap. Plan a route to anything you find, pick your departure, and see the wind along the way. Under way, the chart carries your destination, distance and ETA. Subscribers see their plan and renewal details. Plus clearer map pins, readable depth soundings at night, and bug fixes.
