BPMc is a BPM counter built for DJs — not a tap-along toy and not a song-ID app.
Point it at whatever's playing and it listens for 20 seconds, then tells you the
tempo to two decimal places with an honest confidence rating.
WHY DJs USE IT
• Check the tempo of a set you're listening to and time your own tracks to it
• Settle "what BPM is this?" without opening a laptop
• Read the tempo through a club PA, a car system, or your own speakers
TWO WAYS TO LISTEN
• Speaker — the phone's mic hears music playing on a speaker or in the car,
without ever interrupting it.
• Headphones mode — the mic can't hear what's playing inside your AirPods, so
BPMc uses a quick iOS broadcast to read the audio directly. One extra tap,
the way Shazam's own button needs one too.
HONEST BY DESIGN
• It measures the tempo and tells you that — no genre guessing, no presets
forcing a wrong-but-plausible answer.
• Low-confidence reads are shown dimmed and labelled "Unsure" — the app never
dresses up a guess as a fact.
PRIVATE
Everything runs on your device. Your audio is never recorded to the cloud,
uploaded, or shared. BPMc makes no account and no tracking.
