HOW IT WORKS
SoundSetting taps an app's audio output, then plays it back at the level you choose.
The first time you lower an app's volume, macOS asks for System Audio Recording permission - this is required to read the audio so it can be re-mixed at a lower level.
Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted; it is processed live in memory only.
