Battle of the Pronghorns is a strategy game where every piece is a visual map of its own movement. Prongs radiate outward showing exactly where a piece can move, attack, and defend. No memorizing move patterns — just look at the piece.
Wounding changes everything.
When pieces clash, the defender doesn't always get captured. If the attacker's prong is stronger, the defender is taken. If they're equal, the defender loses that one prong. If the attacker is weaker, the defender's prong is merely shortened. Wounded pieces stay on the board, weaker but still fighting. This creates a mid-game complexity that chess doesn't have — damaged pieces can be rotated to reposition their remaining prongs, turning a liability into a surprise attack.
Seven unique pieces.
• Star — 8 short prongs, moves like a King
• Cross — 4 long prongs, moves like a Rook
• Diagon — 4 long prongs, moves like a Bishop
• Goddess — 8 long prongs, moves like a Queen
• Steward — 8 fat prongs, moves one square but defends like a Queen
• Frog — 8 curved prongs, jumps in L-shapes like a Knight
• Kangaroo — 16 curved prongs, short and long L-shaped jumps
Tools scattered across the battlefield.
Pick up shields to absorb hits. Swords to negate shields. Ghosts to phase through walls. Dynamite to blow walls apart. Candles and lamps to see through fog of war. Wands to hand tools between your pieces. Bags to carry multiple tools at once. Crowns to win by reaching the enemy citadel.
Six game modes.
Bunny Slope — A 27-level tutorial that teaches every mechanic step by step. Play mode vs AI only.
Boot Camp — Puzzle-like levels that test specific skills against AI. Play mode vs AI only.
Chessish — Classic head-to-head on an 8x8 board. No tools, no fog, just pure strategy. Play against AI, pass-and-play with a friend, or online via Game Center.
Kangaroos — A 10x10 board introducing the Kangaroo piece with its extended jump range. Same three play options.
Multi-Floor Dungeon — A four-floor maze with fog of war, teleporters, tools, keys, and treasure. Navigate between floors using stairs while hunting enemy pieces you can't always see.
Deep Dungeon — A procedurally generated dungeon crawl up to 12 floors deep. Every run is different. Fog of war, tools everywhere, and AI that adapts its strategy to the darkness.

In both AI mode and Pass & Play mode, most content is free. Only Deep Dungeon requires a subscription.
