Forty Thieves (also known as Napoleon at St Helena, or Big Forty) is famously hard: two full decks, ten columns, eight foundations built up from Ace to King by suit. On the table you build down by suit. No timers, no pressure - just a deep, satisfying solitaire you can learn in minutes and master over time.

HOW TO PLAY FORTY THIEVES
- Build the eight foundations up by suit, Ace to King.
- On the tableau, build down by suit (a 9 on a 10 of the same suit).
- Move one card at a time; an empty column takes any card.
- Draw from the stock when you are stuck - there is no redeal.
- Clear all 104 cards home to win.
