Night falls on a farm at the end of an Irish lane. One of the colony has vanished. The others fear the worst, and no one is coming to help. Then a stray walks in from the dark.
You are the stray. You work the case the only way a cat can. Follow a scent across wet ground, listen at doors, climb for the view the others never get, squeeze through gaps no one else fits. Question the colony and choose what to ask, because the right question earns the truth and the wrong one earns a flick of the tail. Then pin what you know to the case board and prove what really happened.
Every cat here is a character, and the colony is drawn from a real one: the barn cats, the nervous one at the back of the yard, the one who watches everything from the roof. Their cases are small, and they matter. A missing friend. A trust that has to be earned one slow step at a time. The night is moonlit pixel noir, lamplight and rain and long shadows, with a wry streak running through the dark.
