Turn your iPhone into a day-and-night motion capture station with Capture Log, motion trails, reports, SkyLock direction, and optional maps. Some moments only cross the frame once. Technicam helps you be ready. Place your iPhone on a tripod, choose a daytime or nighttime setup, fine-tune detection, and arm the camera. When movement enters the frame, Technicam starts recording automatically and stops when the event ends — ready for whatever appears next. Technicam is built for patient observation: moving lights, meteors, aircraft, birds, distant objects, wildlife, and unexpected movement in a fixed scene. SEE WHAT THE CAMERA DETECTS Before arming, Fine-Tune Detection shows what Technicam is responding to in real time. Adjust sensitivity and detection mode until faint reflections, sensor noise, or unwanted background movement are reduced — while the activity you want to capture remains visible. CAPTURE EVENTS AUTOMATICALLY When Technicam detects motion, it can save the event as a video, a motion-trail image, and a Capture Report. Capture Reports include useful event details such as date, duration, device, capture type, orientation, ISO, shutter, focus, sensitivity, detection mode, and optional SkyLock direction data. ADD SKYLOCK CONTEXT SkyLock is an optional feature that saves the approximate direction your camera was pointing when an event was captured. When enabled, Technicam can show a tiny live compass over the camera preview, save azimuth and elevation with the event, add SkyLock details to reports and trail footers, and create an optional SkyLock map showing the approximate camera location and bearing. SkyLock maps show camera bearing only. They do not represent object distance or object location. REVIEW EVERYTHING IN THE CAPTURE LOG Technicam includes a Capture Log, giving you a clean way to review and manage captured events directly inside the app. Open an event to watch the video, view the motion-trail image, check the Capture Report, view the optional SkyLock map, add notes, choose a category, and organize what you captured. ORGANIZE WHAT YOU CAPTURE Not every event is the same. Technicam lets you organize captures with built-in categories such as Meteor, Unknown, Wildlife, Aircraft, Light, Test, and more. You can also create your own custom categories with a name and icon, making it easier to build your own observation archive over time.
