Adjusting a session no longer trips over itself.
• Bring your own artwork to the draft board: a new Misc image upload swaps the built-in Team Battle draft graphic for yours, cropped to the same shape so nothing shifts.
• Editing a round could fail with an error if the round changed shape while you were in it: a court added or removed, the rounds ahead reshuffled, or four sitting-out players pulled onto a new court. That is fixed, and swapping someone who had a bye into an occupied spot works again.
Tidier navigation:
• New Session moved to the top of the menu, under Home, so it is where you look for it.
• Leagues, Tournaments and Team Battles each showed two buttons that did the same thing. Now there is one.
• Questions you send us arrive in Chat Hub as a normal conversation instead of a separate inbox.

1.0.38 Aug 18
Team Battle drafts now look the part on a big screen.
• The display board sharpens up: players' faces on live match cards, sponsor slots that rotate in the corner, playoff games named by court, ratings on the Top 10, and a winner screen that scales to fit any screen.
• The draft board shows every open spot, who is picking, who is up next, and the whole list of players still available, ranked. Nobody is hidden behind a top ten.
• Each pick flies from the pool into its team and the board waits for it to land before moving on, so the room and the screen stay in step.
• Text too small from the back of the room? The plus and minus buttons resize the whole board, and it stays that size for the rest of the event.
• A team number now means something: it is that team's place in the picking order, so Team 1 drafts first.
• Sponsors can sit either side of the draft board, set per event in Event Settings.
Saving to history now waits until a champion is decided, so the final and the third-place match always make it into the record and into everyone's stats.

Team Battle got two upgrades: names that stay current, and a draft roster that waits for the draft.
• Player names follow the person: if a player renames their account, rosters, the draft pool, score sheets, standings, and the projector all show the new name right away.
• Draft events lock their roster until you start the draft: before the draft starts, captains see locked slots, and the host gets a heads-up if they place anyone early.

Fixed Pairs is fully flexible now, and 6v6 Showdown standings got a real upgrade.
• Fixed Pairs: add a pair to slot in two loose players, break an existing pair, or retire or remove anyone. The bracket updates the moment you make the change, and you can set a guest's rating and gender right there.
• 6v6 Showdown: the Standings tab and the session summary now show Team Points on top, per-player stats, fun stats, and the next round's matchups.

Your tournament and Team Battle sessions, tidied up.
• Profile photos now show on Team Battle rosters, spectators, the draft board and results, not just initials. Players without a photo still show their initials.
• Team Battles, tournaments and leagues now sit right in your Today / Tomorrow / This week list instead of a separate block up top. Leagues, which have no date, get an Ongoing group.
• Match cards always list in court order, so the whole room reads the same 1, 2, 3.
• Team Battle chat sends push notifications, and the Chats hub is grouped by recency with an unread badge. Direct chats show the person's photo; tap it for their stats.
• Tournaments: move a match to another court after the schedule is set, use court names with letters like 11A and 11B, rename courts any time, and print the full schedule.
• Organizers can add spectators, and balanced draft order is now the default.
• Polished the iPad and desktop side panel.

Your rating now reflects how you have been playing lately.
• Results fade faster. A match loses about 3% of its weight per day instead of holding most of it for three months, so a strong session actually shows up in your number. A 6-2 session that used to move a rating by 0.007 now moves it by around 0.05.
• Winning sessions pay more. A session that moves you up is worth half again as much, while a session that moves you down costs exactly what it did before.
• Win more than you lose and your rating cannot go down. This matters most in Mixer, where you do not pick your partner: carrying a weaker partner to a narrow win used to read as underperformance and could cost you points.
• The in-room ladder shows the right number. It could point the wrong way entirely, showing a small drop for a session that actually earned you a gain. It now matches what gets saved to your profile.
Tournaments also got a lot of work:
• Games per team means games per team. Ask for 7 and everyone gets 7. When the maths cannot be exact, one team plays one MORE rather than one fewer, and you choose which.
• Ties are decided properly. If two teams finish level, the one that won the meeting between them finishes ahead. Team name no longer decides anything.
• Each pool can run its own playoff and crown its own champion. Pools can be renamed and split by rating band.
• Rounds can be reordered, and in Team Battle you can choose whether ratings show as DLR or DUPR.
One thing to know: because recent play counts for so much more, your reliability drops faster when you stop playing. A few weeks away may show you as provisional until you play again.

Team Battle settings, rebuilt.
• Editing an event no longer resets it. Changing the time, location, court names or description used to send the whole event back to draft and clear every score. Those edits are now plain saves. Only changes that genuinely rebuild the schedule — team size, format, number of teams, pools, rounds or courts — ask before they touch play, and they say so.
• Settings only show what your format actually has. A 6v6 Showdown was being offered "Skip semifinals" with no bracket to skip. Each format now brings its own controls and its own sensible defaults: 3v3 opens at 8 teams in 2 pools, 4v4 at 7 teams with a rotating bye, 6v6 at 12 players across 6 courts.
• Scoring is editable again, with separate targets for pool play and playoffs.
• Playoff seeds are earned. Qualifiers from every pool are now re-ranked together on their record, so the strongest teams meet late rather than because of which pool they happened to be in.
• 3v3 playoffs can be played as three games or settled with a dreambreaker. 4v4 always finishes with one, since two games can end level.
• 6v6 Showdown: a fairer opponent spread. The rotation guaranteed you a different partner every round but left who you FACED unconstrained, so some players met the same opponent in four rounds out of five. No pairing now repeats more than twice.
• Gender changes show up straight away. Correcting someone's gender used to leave their avatar the old colour everywhere in the event.
• Join requests show the person's current name, and asking to join a draft event puts you in the player pool rather than onto a team.
Thanks for playing!
1.0.32 Aug 10
Light mode got a proper pass.
• Team Battle was designed dark-first, and on the light theme its bright lime text was very hard to read — round selectors, status badges, captain markers and the live draft setup panel. All measured and fixed.
• Buttons that are not ready to tap yet now stay readable. Their label is usually the thing telling you what is still missing, and it used to fade along with the button.
• Dark mode is unchanged.
Also in this release:
• New accounts get an illustrated first-run flow for name, gender and play level.
• Player photos appear on match cards, with a Scorecard setting to choose what your own cards show. Players without a photo show their initials.
• One winner colour everywhere: winners in brand lime, losers muted, and no red on a finished match.
• Team Battle 6v6 Showdown, a team-size-first event creator, and partner pools — pin a small group so they rotate partners among themselves inside a bigger session.
• Round robin pools can be played to 11 or 15, set by the organizer.

Claim a guest entry as your own.
If an organiser couldn't find you in member search they may have added you as a
guest. Once you have an account, open the event and tap "This is me!" next to
that name. When it's approved the entry becomes yours — including every game
already played from it, so those results count toward your record and your DLR.
The roster then shows your account name.
Ask to join a specific team. On an open-registration event you now pick which
team you're asking for, and approving puts you straight on it.
Captains can approve people asking to join their own team.
Guests are marked with a * on every roster again — that marker used to
disappear once a guest had a gender set.
Fixed: chat no longer sits underneath the desktop sidebar, the message box no
longer shows a stray scrollbar, and 6v6 Matches moves to the next round as you
enter scores.
1.0.30 Aug 5
New: 6v6 Team Showdown — a third Team Battle format.
Two teams of six, one night, three courts. Rounds 1-5 are a fixed rotation
where every player partners each team-mate exactly once. Round 6 is the
captain's choice and pays double — set one court's pairing and the rest fill in
around it. If the teams finish level on points, a sudden-death round 7 to 21
appears on its own.
Scoring isn't just wins: a game pays 3 for the win, 2 if you lose but reach 10,
and 1 otherwise — so five narrow losses aren't the same as five blowouts.
Creating a Team Battle now starts with how many per team (3v3 / 4v4 / 6v6) and
cascades from there.
Standings has a new Players tab, and player ratings plus the team average now
show on every team card.
Fixed: 3v3 events can now label their courts, not just count them.
1.0.29 Aug 4
Admin-only roster now actually holds. It hid the reshuffle button but left a
second way in, so a non-admin could still reshuffle a locked round.
Team battles that haven't started stay on the Live tab — one was also showing
up under Completed, which read like it was already over.
Your DUPR saves reliably now. Enter (or Done) commits the number, and the
on-screen keypad no longer covers the Save button on a phone.
DLR is on for everyone — the toggle is gone.
Rooms opened without signing in now clean themselves up after a couple of idle
days, with a warning first.
1.0.28 Aug 3
Profile ratings that actually save, and sessions that tell you when they close.
- Editing your DUPR now has an OK button next to the field. The number keypad
has no Return key and it covered the Save button, so there was no way to
commit what you typed. Enter works too.
- Fixed a rarer case where the profile form could quietly reset while you were
typing, so you would save the old value with no error shown.
- Sessions started without signing in now say when they close: 2 days after the
last activity, or 3 if scores were entered. Sign in and the session is yours
to keep, with no countdown.
- The ladder ranks by win rate, so sitting out a round no longer costs you, and
ties from timed rounds are counted everywhere.

Tournament exports now include each team's average rating.
• Export a tournament's teams and you get an avg_team_rating column, grouped with the team columns and repeated on each of that team's rows. It is the same average shown on the team cards, so the file and the app always agree.
• Fixed a leftover note on the getdrillers.com homepage that described the page as a static mockup.

1.0.26 Jul 31
Spectators for Team Battle, a featured-event banner on your home screen, and a consistent share button throughout the app.
• Ask to play, or ask to spectate — if you're not on a Team Battle roster, you now get two equal options. Spectators follow the whole event but are never drafted, scheduled or ranked, and can stop spectating any time.
• Organizers can tell requests apart — every join request is tagged Playing or Spectating, on the event page and in Notifications, so you know what you are approving before you tap.
• Featured events — an upcoming event now appears above the welcome on your home screen with the date, venue and a link to register, and clears itself once the event is over.
• One share button — sharing looked different from screen to screen and from phone to phone. It is now the same everywhere.
• The Team Battle event list reads as separate cards instead of one crammed block.

Standings now break ties with head-to-head records and show playoff qualifiers. Draft pool only shows players your team can actually pick.
• Team Battle standings break ties on wins + point differential with head-to-head record between the tied teams (previously fell through to team name, which was meaningless).
• Playoff qualifier indicator — teams in playoff position are highlighted with a playoff badge in the standings (top 4 for single-division, top 2 per pool for 2-pool format).
• Draft pool filters by eligibility — the pool only shows players the on-clock team can actually accept based on the format and composition.
• Confirm draft requires full teams — the Confirm button only appears when every team has all slots filled.
• Presentation mode shows a clear placeholder on empty events instead of crashing.

Tell your players what the event actually is.
• Team Battles, Tournaments and Leagues now take a description and up to 6 links — house rules, the group chat, a payment link, a map to the courts. Everyone sees them on the event page, including people who just tapped your share link.
• Team Battle registration can add walk-on guests again, and co-ed teams built through registration now validate correctly.
• End Session works once every match is scored, so you can close out a finished session instead of being stuck with it open.
• The end-of-session card now previews your real session instead of sample names.

What's new in 1.0.20:
• Team Battle 3P (teams of 3) now supports Open Registration, so captains can sign up their own team instead of only running a live draft. It also comes in Co-ed, Men's and Women's.
• An optional way to chip in if Drillers has made your game nights easier — the heart button at the top of the menu. Nothing about Drillers changes if you skip it.
• Finish a session and a quick guide shows where to save it, how it gets verified, and how to share the results card.
• Help moved into Settings.
• Fixed a sync issue where scores could disappear if a phone briefly lost signal mid-session.
• Fixed the microphone indicator appearing on macOS.

What's new in 1.0.19:
• Keep us free — a new, entirely optional way to chip in if Drillers has made your game nights easier. It sits at the top of the menu. Nothing about Drillers changes if you skip it.
• Help now lives in Settings, as the ? at the top right of the Settings sheet.
• Fixed a sync issue where scores could disappear if a phone briefly lost signal mid-session.
• Fixed the Privacy Policy and Terms links, which weren't opening from inside the app.

1.0.19 Jul 25
All your chats in one place — plus smarter shuffling.
• NEW: Chat in the menu. One list of every session, team battle and league chat you're in, newest first, with unread counts. Read it on your phone and it's already read on your iPad — what you've read now follows your account, not your device.
• Byes, your way. Instead of picking exact rounds, just say how many breaks a player wants and the shuffle places them — spread out, and never back-to-back.
• Gender-only rounds by count. Say how many rounds should be men's or women's and the shuffle fits them in wherever they work.
• Courts now show in order, so entering them out of sequence no longer scrambles the board.
• Session managers can approve join requests again.
• Team Battle: the champion celebration closes properly and stops reappearing, and Standings no longer shows the banner twice.
Thanks for playing!
1.0.18 Jul 24
Team Battle got a big upgrade:
• New Present mode — a broadcast-style scoreboard for casting an event to a TV or iPad. Pick from three layouts (Jumbotron, Classic, Spotlight): live matches stay front-and-centre while standings, a top-10 leaderboard, and match history take turns, with a scrolling ticker along the bottom. When the final's decided it crowns the champion with a trophy, the winning roster, the final scorecard, and an MVP.
• Clone a Team Battle into a private sandbox from its settings — practice scoring without touching the real event.
• See your upcoming Team Battles in the drawer and under Sessions, and add a start time to an event.
• Smoother live draft (tap a player to confirm the pick, rounds auto-advance once scored) and cleaner 3-player scoring.
Thanks for playing!
1.0.17 Jul 24
New 4-Player Team Battle — with a redesigned playoff round:
• A brand-new co-ed 4-player Team Battle format with a live captain snake draft — captains take turns picking from a shared board.
• Redesigned playoff scorecards: cleaner layout, court assignments per game, and a team-vs-team DreamBreaker when a match is tied 1–1.
• A shareable champions card when the final's decided.
• Your upcoming leagues & cups now show right in the side drawer.
• Archive and reopen past leagues and cups.

• Edit an event's setup after you've created it, or send it back to the draft stage without losing any players.
• "Skip semifinals" fast playoff for when time is short — the top 4 teams play for placement right away, configured on the spot when you start the bracket.
• Refreshed Leagues, Tournaments, and Team Battle pages with new artwork and a single Demo hub to try each format.
