Nuvix brings thoughtful note-taking and on-device privacy together in one focused app.
Write naturally with Markdown, checklists, tables, wiki links, tags, attachments, and note templates. Keep everything easy to find with folders, pinned notes, task views, full-text search, filters, and saved Smart Folders.
When something needs extra privacy, use Private Space to store photos, videos, files, and private notes separately from your everyday notes. Private content is encrypted on your device, while access can be protected with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
Nuvix is local-first. Your notes and private content stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. The current version requires no account, includes no advertising, uses no third-party analytics SDKs, and provides no cloud sync.
Everyday note-taking
Create and edit notes with automatic saving. Use Markdown formatting, checklists, tables, YAML frontmatter, wiki links, backlinks, images, and file attachments. Preview formatted notes and use Quick Look for supported attachments.
Flexible organization
Arrange notes with folders, tags, and pins. Collect unfinished checklist items in the task view. Search titles, text, and tags, then save useful combinations as Smart Folders.
Portable content
Export individual notes as Markdown or PDF. You can also export multiple notes by folder, keeping your writing accessible outside the app.
Private Space
Store private photos, videos, files, and notes in encrypted local storage. Configure automatic locking, an emergency lock, a separate entry phrase, and an optional decoy space.
