New: your anchorages, and a weather watch that warns you. • Save an anchorage with one tap — the star in the wind bubble, or in its SailScore. It stays on the map with its name, and reopens its score in one touch. • "My anchorages" ranks them for the coming night by the WORST score of the night: an anchorage that holds at 10 pm and fails at 4 am is a bad anchorage, and an average would have hidden it. • Shelter is measured only once: the score then opens instantly, and the anchorage follows you to your other devices and to the website. • Rename or delete with a swipe: right to rename, left to delete. • Weather watch: turn it on at anchor and your position is saved; the app warns you before wind, gusts or sea go past YOUR thresholds — with up to 48 hours' notice, enough time to decide where to sleep, not just to react. • Alerts live in iOS: they ring with the app closed, offline, and survive a restart. Anything already above your thresholds when you arm the watch is told to you straight away. • A blow that lasts gives one alert, at its start — but if it strengthens markedly, the app speaks up again. • The watched point and its radius are drawn on the map. Move away from it and the watch stops and tells you: it is no longer the same anchorage. • The screen states what it has actually scheduled — "2 alerts, from Sun 15:00", or "nothing above your thresholds in the next 3 days". A silent watch must not look like a broken one. Fair winds!

New: SailScore, to pick your anchorage. • Tap a point on the map: SailMeteo rates how comfortable it would be at anchor, from the wind and the swell — and above all from the land that shelters it. An anchorage tucked under the windward shore stays flat where its neighbour, open to the sea, becomes untenable. • A rose shows where you are sheltered from: each petal reaches out towards open water and shortens where land is close, with the incoming wind and swell marked on it. • The score is explained, never just asserted: wind speed and direction, the stretch of open water (the fetch) and the chop it raises, how much of the swell actually reaches the point. • A curve shows how it evolves across the whole forecast: move through the hours to find the night that holds. • Visibility: new layer and new reading at the top of the map, in nautical miles. • Safer routing: routes no longer cross islets smaller than a computation cell, and motoring legs now run straight at the target instead of wandering. • While the route is computed you watch it build — and no approximate track is shown before it. • North lock: pan and zoom without rotating the map by accident. • The automatic weather update now shows what it is downloading, then closes on its own. • Important fix: areas, settings and the ad-free role were sometimes not restored at launch when the network was slow to answer. The app now recovers them by itself as soon as the connection is back. • Also: GPX export of the route you are following from the Navigation menu, a "Boat on the route" target, routing models remembered, the heading line starting at the bow, and the boat no longer spinning a full turn when crossing north. Routing now looks for the fastest route instead of the straight line: • Isochrone routing: the app explores the possible headings hour by hour and keeps the fastest, using your boat's polar. The computation is shown live on the map. • Two separate screens: "When to leave?" compares time slots over the coming days, "Route this departure" optimises the route for a date and time you choose. • Far more reliable land avoidance: coastlines, islands and headlands are analysed before the computation. • Minimum distance from the coast, from 0 to 20 nautical miles, applied to the crossing but not to harbour entry and exit. • Wind, wave and current models picked separately — and remembered. • GPX import and export: pick up a route from Navionics Boating, qtVlm or OpenCPN, or send yours out. An imported route can be saved to your trips. • Reworked Navigation menu: pick a saved trip and see it on the map right away, with an arrow showing the direction of travel. • A form to report a bug or suggest an idea (the "…" menu). • Fixed visibility and wave height, free cursor usable while scrubbing time, and various display fixes. Routing gets finer and more comfortable: • Two models for the analysis: a wind model (GFS, Arome…) and, optionally, a waves & current model (MFWAM…) taken into account in the computation. • New criteria, each one toggleable: swell, wind sea, adverse current, rain and thunderstorm risk (CAPE), on top of wind, gusts, waves and visibility. Your settings are saved to your profile. • Departure suggestions across every forecast day, identical time slots grouped, and the exact hour selectable. • The "earliest departure" time is picked in one tap (time chips). • The selected departure's actions stay visible while scrolling, and the "Why this departure?" details show at a glance. • Display fixes (including the landscape corners). Routing is now clearer and quicker to use: • The route is drawn on the map automatically as soon as you set the departure and arrival (routing around land), even before you analyse it. • Analysed departures are sorted by date and time, soonest first, and the best window is highlighted. • The analysis horizon now matches the chosen weather model's forecast (e.g. Arome HD = 2 days instead of 7). • New favourites manager: tap to load a route, swipe to rename or delete it. • Search bar: the keyboard is now easy to dismiss. • Maximum wave height can be set as low as 0.1 m, plus a few routing layout tweaks. Stay signed in, and spot the controls at a glance: • No more repeated sign-ins: your session now stays active from one launch to the next — even after several hours or offline at sea. Only signing out on purpose logs you out now. • The top-bar icons (compare, navigation, areas) now use the blue accent colour, matching the options menu (red in Night mode). • Stability fixes. Every area reopens right where you left it: • Position and zoom remembered per area: leave an area, open another, close the app — when you come back, you find the exact same view. • First time you open an area: the map automatically frames the whole area, edge to edge. • A marker in the areas list shows which one is currently displayed. • Navigation mode: when an area is shown, the map centres on your position rather than the last view. • Smoother route start: the routing boat stays pinned to the departure point, with no jump. • Navigation menu now sizes to its content, and on iPhone the "Screen settings" menu no longer overflows the screen. This update puts you in control of the display, layer by layer: • Screen settings: tap the weather model to open each layer's options — iso-bands or gradient, land/sea mask, transparency, band interval, display threshold, on-map values, barbs or arrows. Your settings follow your account across devices. • Target: choose where the data is read — off, free target, screen centre, or your GPS position. • Bolder barbs and arrows for a crisper read of the wind. • Waves, swell, wind sea and current now hug the coastline, with no square cut-offs. • Navigation mode: a green heading line extends the bow along your course; redesigned position and route icons. • Night mode carried through into the menus, in red, to protect night vision. • Areas on Mac: rename, edit or delete an area with a right-click. • Split screen (iPad/Mac): mirrored cursor on both panes, home port on each side, and comparison now works even with a single model in the area. • Smoother map and clearer feedback ("Saving…", app version shown in Settings). A major update, focused on reading the sea and the sky: • Swell and wind sea, told apart at last: two new layers, with height, period, direction, and arrows showing where the sea is travelling. At equal height, a long swell and a short chop sail nothing alike — now you can see them separately. • Pressure as isobars: the Pressure layer now draws labelled lines of equal pressure, over land and sea. Tightly packed lines tell you where the wind picks up. • Split screen (iPad and Mac): show two models side by side over the same area. The maps are locked together, and the time slider moves both at once. • Areas: you now choose whether the offline basemap is downloaded or not. Three icons show each area's status at a glance (weather, map, offline). • Navigation mode is remembered across launches, and the map centres on your position at startup. • Clearer layers: clouds no longer shade a clear sky, and rain reads with more contrast. • Routing: a short, breaking wind sea now weighs on the estimated comfort of a passage. • Smoother map, easier on the battery.
