Sensor and Journeys New Sensor tab The Map tab has a third segment: Sensor. It reads your phone's own GPS, barometer and accelerometer to show live speed, altitude, climb rate, g-force and position. Everything is measured on the device, so it keeps working with no signal (a tunnel, a train, a plane in airplane mode). Switch between mph, km/h and knots with a tap. Sensor is off until you turn it on, and nothing touches your sensors until you do. Record a journey Hit record, put the phone in your pocket, and Spot writes down the whole trip: route, speed, altitude, climb and g-force. It keeps recording with the screen off, pauses itself when you stop moving, and shows a Live Activity so you can check on it from the lock screen. Works for drives, trains, buses, walks and flights. New Journeys board Every trip you have recorded, drawn on a spinnable globe with each mode in its own colour. Below it: lifetime distance, time, climb and top speed, then your logbook. Replay any journey Scrub through a trip on the map and watch the route fill in, with speed and altitude updating at the head. Press play to run it back at up to 20 minutes a second. Long flights can be replayed on the globe instead, with the camera following you round the planet. Put your numbers on your own video Pick a clip you filmed on the trip and Spot burns the live stats over it. It lines the footage up with the journey from the video's timestamp, handles timelapses, and offers three overlay styles. Save straight to Photos or share it. Also new Export any journey as a GPX file for other apps. Eleven new Journey badges, from your first recording to 10,000 km. Journeys clear Fog of World as you travel. Journeys sync to your private iCloud, tracks included. Metrics across Sensor and Journeys are now a clean instrument readout.

Urgent Fixes Fixed a crash on launch if you follow a tagged animal or watch a wildfire. Flight routes are checked against where the plane actually is. A stale route from the community database no longer shows a flight the wrong way round. Flight paths no longer stitch in an earlier leg. If the recorded track is too old to be this flight, the map shows only what it has seen since you tapped. The journey line puts the plane where it really is between the two airports instead of parking it at the end.

Fire Watch: track wildfires near your places and get alerts when they spread, get contained, or burn out. Follow tagged wildlife (sharks, turtles, and more) and get pinged when a tag surfaces. Pinned Flights is now Tracked. Flights, wildlife tags, and fires all live in one hub. iCloud sync. Your logbook backs up and syncs across your devices. Flight alerts now show the route, not just the callsign. Aircraft cards go deeper: registration, age, and military flag for Pro. New map layers: airports, dispatch incidents, and roadwork. Bug fixes and reliability improvements.

Toggle what you want, they load as you pan. • Live dispatch incidents on the map, with detail cards you can expand. • Heatmaps with a colour legend and an area readout, so a busy patch actually tells you how busy it is. • Redrawn direction indicators and glyphs. Headings, tracks and trails read clearly at every zoom. • Coverage page rebuilt: pick a layer from the chip rail, the map fits itself to that layer, and the region list is searchable with tap to zoom. SPOTTING • Track a flight by number. Boarding pass style entry with its own keypad, no system keyboard fighting you for space. • Helicopters are now identified as helicopters even when the feed stays quiet about it, at any zoom. (Pro) • AR sky finder is faster and steadier. Hold the phone up and labels stay pinned where the aircraft actually is. YOU • Spotting streaks, with an activity grid of the last 20 weeks and the records behind your habit badges. Only logged sightings count, flyovers do not. • Fog of World stats: explorer rank, a constellation of the blocks you have cleared, size comparisons, and country and city leaderboards. • Change the app language from inside the app. No trip to Settings, no restart. POLISH • Onboarding rewritten. Shorter, clearer about what each permission is for. • Settings, Privacy and the paywall all reworked to match the rest of the app. • Widgets and Live Activities now say when they expire instead of quietly going stale. • Lots of small fixes to card layout, scrolling and light mode contrast. Drag the date rail to see when the Sun, Moon, every planet, and the big asteroids move through the zodiac, with retrogrades marked and a line up top for what changes that day. - Blur your map location. Swap your exact pin for a one-mile area before you share a screenshot. - Airports on the map. Turn on the Airports layer to see hubs at a glance, with delay strips, live departure and arrival boards, and one tap to jump to a flight already in the air. - Helicopters are live. Rotorcraft now stream on the map and radar with their own filter and glyph. - Airline tags above the traffic. Zoom toward a city and known carriers wear a small livery-colored code above the plane. - One tab for you. Pinned flights, alerts, membership, and settings live together in the new You tab. No more hunting through menus. - Alerts are one tap from the map. Tap the bell on any alert to switch it on or off. Hold it to open its settings.
