Thrust to build speed, drift through turns, fire across your own vector, then dive into a planet's gravity well and come out faster than your engines could ever push you. Hold the on-screen R2 trigger to thrust or L2 to brake without releasing the stick, so propulsion never fights your turn input. Physical controllers use the same left-stick, R2, and L2 layout.
