Vocab Swiper is the vocabulary app for people who actually retain what they study. FSRS, the same spaced-repetition algorithm modern Anki uses, decides when each word comes back, timed right before you'd forget it.
Each card shows a word. You recall the meaning before revealing it, then grade yourself. That's active recall, paired with real scheduling, not just a flashcard deck with a swipe gesture bolted on.
