Every scan is counted on the tag itself, and your tag grows. Each tag gets a face and code name, one of a million combinations. Share its record as an image or a video.
[Your character grows] A simple, easy-to-use NFC editor app
An NFC editor app made in Japan by the item shop®, the apparel brand with NFC built in.
It works with the item shop® items, and with off-the-shelf NFC tags too.
:::::::What is an NFC tag?:::::::::::::::::::::
An NFC tag is a small chip that answers when you hold a phone near it,
much like a transit card. It runs on no battery. Put one URL inside, and that page
opens on the screen of anyone who brings an iPhone close. Nothing to launch.
Just hold it near.
:::::::Simple functions anyone can use:::::::::::::::::::::
WRITE — Write a URL to a tag
SCAN — Read a tag and check its rank
DELETE — Erase the URL you wrote
MY TAG — Name the tags you registered and keep them in one list
:::::::TAP & GROW, a system of our own::::::::::::::
Writing a URL is not the end of it.
The more you use a tag, the more it grows.
1. Write a URL, and a character is born for that tag alone
Each tag gets its own face and code name.
Change phones or reinstall the app, and that tag still looks the same.
2. The more it is tapped, the more your character levels up
Your character levels up with the number of times the tag has been read.
The tag itself keeps the count.
Every tap is recorded, even while this app is closed.
3. The character you grew can be sent as a share card
Your character can be sent as a moving share card.
Level up and a background appears, its pattern set by the URL on the tag.
Post the video straight to stories and reels.
4. Keep the tags you own as My Tags, all in one list
See each tag's level and the URL you wrote at a glance.
Name them yourself, like "Keyring" or "For business cards".
:::::::Ways to use a tagged item:::::::::::::::::::::
- Let someone you have just met tap your social profile instead of a business card
- Keep a favorite playlist in a jacket or a keychain and carry it around
- Carry your work, and let whoever picks it up see it on the spot
- Put a digital experience inside a real item and hand it out at an event
:::::::Before you start:::::::::::::::::::::
- An NFC-capable iPhone is required (iOS 16.6 or later).
- Note: Holding a tag near your iPhone to open its URL requires iPhone XS or later.
On earlier models, you can still read and write tags from within the app.
- This app is built for the NFC tags that come with the item shop® products,
though editable, standard NFC tags (NTAG213 / 215 / 216) work as well.
- Only tags written with this app count toward ranks.
Which character appears is part of what the item shop® products give you.
(Store-bought NFC tags do not unlock every character.)
- No account and no sign-in. Everything is kept on your iPhone.
