Aether - UI Design for iPad
Design, sketch & edit Figma.
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
iPad
The design tool Figma should have built for iPad. Sketch, edit, prototype and animate with Apple Pencil - no Mac in the loop.
Aether is a full design tool built from the ground up for iPad.
Open your Figma files and actually edit them - pixel-accurate, fluid, fully
interactive. Then sketch, prototype and animate right there, without ever
opening a Mac.
SKETCH TO DESIGN
- Draw a rough screen with Apple Pencil
- Aether turns it into real, editable layers — not a flat image
- Go from idea to working screen in seconds
PROTOTYPE
- Link screens and add interactions
- Test it on the device in your hands
- No export step, no second app, no handoff
MOTION (beta)
- Animate transitions and micro-interactions
- Runs at full frame rate on device
YOUR FIGMA FILES
- Open and browse your own design files on iPad
- Bring across libraries, components and icons
- Your files, your credentials - your data stays yours
DESIGNED FOR iPad
- An interface rebuilt for touch - not a desktop app stretched to fit
- Gestures, panels and controls tuned for the iPad screen
- A focused workspace that gets out of your way
THE MAGICAL PILL
- A floating control that puts your most-used actions one tap away
- Move between tools without hunting through menus
- Keeps your hands on the canvas and your focus on the work
APPLE PENCIL
- Precise, low-latency input
- Point, select and navigate with pinpoint accuracy
- A direct, natural way to work the canvas
NATIVE CANVAS
- Text, vectors and shapes rendered natively - sharp at every zoom level
- Fluid pan and zoom across large, multi-page documents
- Glass and material effects with real backdrop blur
- Drop shadows, inner shadows, layer blur, blend modes and opacity
- Linear, radial and angular gradients
- Vector paths, boolean operations and precise masking
- Rich typography with real fonts - weights, kerning and effects
Built by an HCI researcher and former Google UX researcher who spent years
studying how designers actually work.
