Place apps anywhere, give sub-folders their own look, see notification dots on folders, and stay up to date. FIXED • On iOS 26 and earlier, Edit Widget no longer showed the group choice. You can pick your group again. NEW • Put apps anywhere in the grid: Group editor → Place. • Give each sub-folder its own icon size, app names, spacing and colors. • A folder shows a dot when an app inside it has one, and dots now show how many notifications came in. To turn the number off: Settings → Notification Dots. • Announcements: see new features and important notes on the Groups screen, and get them as notifications if you like. KNOWN ISSUE • On the iOS 27.2 beta, after you tap an action, the other tiles in that widget stop responding. This is an iOS bug and we've reported it to Apple. Switching Home Screen pages makes the tiles work again. Until it's fixed, we recommend not installing the iOS 27.2 beta.

A fix for widgets that stopped updating, a background color for symbol icons, and icons from the Files app. FIXED • On iOS 27, group widgets added with an older version could stop updating or show gray boxes. The Groups screen now shows which widgets are affected. Remove them and add them again, and your groups stay as they are. • Symbol icons with no background no longer show a black square on the Action Board. NEW • Choose a background color for symbol and text icons. • Pick icon images from the Files app, not just Photos.

Run shortcuts and app actions in one tap, sort your apps by App Store category, and enjoy a fresh new look. NEW • Actions in your widgets (iOS 27): add shortcuts, app actions and apps to a group widget in Edit Widget, and they run in one tap without opening Shortcuts. Place them anywhere in the group, with icons from your own apps. • Action Board (iOS 27): a widget made only of actions, for the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. • Tools tab: Categorize Apps tags every app with its App Store category, and Dark Icon Maker turns any picture into a dark icon. • Filter by tag while editing a group, then add them all in one tap. • A short guided tour for new users, and New badges that show what's new. IMPROVED • A fresh new look throughout the app, in light and dark. • Empty widgets now show what they will become and how to set them up, at every size. • Use one back button look for a folder, a group or every group. • "Same as Light" keeps an app's colorful icon in Dark Mode. • Preview iPad's wide Extra Large widget in the group editor. FIXED • Deleting a group now asks first and can be undone. • WidgetLoft appears in the share sheet only for links and analytics logs.

Share Lifetime Pro with your Family Sharing group, and help shape WidgetLoft with our new feedback board. NEW • Family Sharing for Lifetime Pro: everyone in your family group can enjoy all Pro features without buying again. • Share ideas, vote for suggestions, and follow progress and planned releases on our feedback board. • Action tiles: open your App Store updates list with one tap. • Choose how sub-folders open: Slide, Fade, Zoom or Instant. IMPROVED • Medium widgets now fit 8 larger icons in a 4×2 layout with Extra Large icons, replacing the previous 10-icon layout. • Larger icons and tidier spacing when app names are shown. • See each layout in the icon size picker, with clearer labels for appearance previews. FIXED • Widgets now open the installed country-specific edition of supported apps. • Call, Message, FaceTime and shortcut tiles open directly, without WidgetLoft appearing first. • More consistent localized Apple feature names and completed Japanese translations.

Set up WidgetLoft in seconds! Import apps in bulk instead of searching for them one by one, and start organizing your library faster.

Pick what dark icons sit on. Black, charcoal, Apple's gradient, midnight or a colour of your own. The white line around logos that were already dark is gone too, Apple's own apps included, so they all sit on the same flat ground. Your choice reaches the widget, the Lock Screen and the app at once. Also in this update: • Give names a colour. Pick the colour of app names per group and add a hairline outline if you want. They read on a light wallpaper and on a dark one. • Your Lock Screen, your icons. The quick-launch bar and the Dynamic Island now show dark icons, your own photos and your symbol, emoji and letter tiles. Their appearance has a setting of its own. • A separate icon for dark. Dark follows light by default. Give it its own photo or the app's original icon instead, and what you pick for dark leaves light alone. • The group editor, tidied. Name, size and colour up top, the fine-tuning on a second tab. The Transparent explanation is a tip you can dismiss. • Redeem Code. Enter a gift code from the top left of the Pro screen or from Settings. • iCloud is tied to your account. Switching Apple account no longer mixes your data up, it asks what you want to do. And you can restore your backup without Pro. • Apps that open by scheme. Schemes the widget could not open, WeChat and Alipay among them, now open through WidgetLoft. • Newly recognised apps. ChatGPT, Google Photos, Duolingo, LINE and Viber now show as installed. Apple Support joins the catalog. • Edit a tile from the list. Long press an app in the add list to open its detail; you don't have to leave the group screen. • Fixes. Tiles that opened the wrong app are repaired, a custom icon you delete stays gone, saving a group refreshes the widget right away, and letter tiles are the size in the widget that the preview shows.

Dark icons for every app. Every dark icon in the catalog was baked again from scratch, and the ones that showed the wrong logo are gone. Apps the catalog doesn't cover now get their dark icon made right on your phone, as you add them. Also in this update: • Extra Large widget. iOS 27's tall widget is here: up to 77 tiles in one widget, with sub-folders and the back tile working exactly as they do everywhere else. • Open sites in the browser you want. Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, Opera and more. Or open a site full screen inside WidgetLoft, and add a browser of your own if yours isn't listed. • The back tile is yours. Pick the symbol, its colour, the background, the opacity and the size of the back tile inside a sub-folder. • Write your own letters. A mono tile no longer has to use the app's name: type up to 3 characters and that is what shows. • Choosing a photo is smooth. The cropper no longer closes while you drag, big photos open without a freeze, and a replaced photo refreshes everywhere at once. • Big folders keep up. The blank space and the stalling seen in widgets with many apps are fixed, so stepping in and out of sub-folders stays smooth. • One tap in the Dynamic Island. Apps in the Dynamic Island now open in a single step, without passing through WidgetLoft.

Your groups can't be overwritten. Adding a second device now merges both sides instead of one replacing the other. A copy of your layout is also kept before anything replaces it, so you can go back to how it was: Settings, Backup, Recent versions. Also in this update: • Large icons are sharp. Layouts that show fewer, larger icons now load them at the size they are actually drawn, instead of one size for everything. Same memory, sharper tiles. • Empty space is yours. A new switch in Edit Widget decides whether tapping the empty space opens the app. Set it per widget, so a sparse one can stay quiet while a full one stays tappable. • The widget answers faster. Changing settings no longer refreshes the widget over and over, and app names are drawn more cheaply. This is for the widgets that stopped answering taps in a busy group. • A failed tap keeps your place. If a tile can't open its app, the widget now stays in the folder you were in. It used to jump back to the top as well, so nothing opened and you lost your place. • Short numbers work. Emergency lines and the three or four digit codes banks and carriers use can be tiles now. They were quietly refused before.

• Notification dot — a red dot on the tile of any app that gets a notification (Shortcuts automation, iOS 27). • Person tile — call, message, WhatsApp or Telegram someone with one tap. • Backup — export your whole layout to a single file and import it on another device. • Tags for apps and a rebuilt library filter. • Move or copy folders between groups; emoji/symbol mark tiles. • Fixes: deleted data no longer comes back from iCloud, icons are sharp in the large layout.

App names under icons Switch on names to show each app’s title beneath its icon on the Home Screen — per folder. Put the back button anywhere In a sub-folder, drag the back tile to any slot, even an empty one — and it stays legible on any background. Emoji icons Set any tile to an emoji, and Symbol, emoji and monogram icons now sit clean — no coloured plate behind them. Rearrange your library Drag to reorder apps in your library, in every view mode. Widgets is now Groups The tab is renamed so a group of folders no longer sounds like a folder inside one — and new groups come pre-numbered. Fixes & polish Dark icons stay right after updating, tiles nested several folders deep now show their icon, the Transparent widget style is clearer, and a brand-new group always saves.

Refresh changed icons When an app rebrands, Settings can now find the new logo and show you old next to new before anything changes. Archive apps Put an app away without deleting it — it leaves your widgets and waits in the library's Archive until you restore it. Custom icons in iCloud Your own icon images now sync with your folders, so they survive a new device — and lost ones are recovered on launch. Faster folder editing Long-press an app in the add list to archive or delete it, hide ones already used elsewhere, and fit four per row. Shortcut tiles simplified One field instead of two, and names with symbols like "&" now open the right shortcut. Share with friends A new row in Settings sends the App Store link, so recommending WidgetLoft no longer means hunting for it. Fixes & polish Region-specific apps launch correctly, Pro no longer sees ads at launch, and a gentle prompt tells you when an update is out.

Redesigned Widgets tab A multi-column grid on iPad, a 3×3 ↔ wide size toggle, and app / website / shortcut counts on every widget. New edit mode Tap Edit, then drag to reorder your widgets and tap the red − to delete — the same on iPhone and iPad. More reliable icons Icons now always show the right app, and a slow icon can no longer freeze the whole widget. Folder icons & 3×3 Give a sub-folder its own photo or SF Symbol, and choose a 2×2 or 3×3 mini-grid. Edge margins On top of icon spacing, you can now adjust the margins around the whole grid. Smarter region picker The App Store region picker is now searchable, with favorites and your detected store pinned on top. Fixes & polish Icon editor now reopens on the right tab, better dark-mode contrast, and other small refinements.

A whole new icon studio Design every app's icon — a photo, a monogram, or 5,700+ searchable symbols. Separate looks for Light and Dark. Add apps from the App Store On any App Store page, tap Share → WidgetLoft — the app lands in your library instantly. Your own tiles Websites, Shortcuts — even apps you've hidden from the Home Screen, added by bundle ID. Widgets that tidy up After you launch an app — or after a timeout you choose — the widget returns to your main folder. Four icon sizes Small to extra large, plus fine-tuned spacing — per folder, or applied to all at once. Right app, right region WidgetLoft now matches your real App Store country, so regional apps launch correctly. Smarter dark icons The widget now follows your phone's Light and Dark Mode — and the glass widget gets its own switch. Built-in user guide Every feature and limit, explained — Settings → User Guide.

Glass folder widgets Transparent folders now look like real glass and in Clear or Tinted Home Screen mode the app icons turn to glass too, matching the rest of your screen. Tip jar foldermini is built by one person. I kept it as affordable as I could so anyone can have it you can now leave a small tip to help keep it going. It unlocks nothing; it's purely a thank-you. Global widget settings Widget glass style and dark icons moved to Settings each is one global switch now, applied to every folder widget at once. Smarter preview Opening a folder now picks the smallest widget size that shows every app and tells you how many are hidden if you choose a smaller one. Tidied up Settings reorganized with clearer widget options, quick info tips, and various fixes.
