Grow each of the four stands on its own, a few hundred seats at a time, and watch it change from an open terrace to three tiers under a full roof. • Fill in the corners once every stand is big enough, and at the very top build a super stadium for 120,000. • See it all in 3D on the Stadium page, in your club colours. Tap a stand, choose its new size and see how it will look before you build. • Every pitch level now looks different, from a worn pitch to crisp crossing stripes at the top. • See your average attendance this season and last. • Grounds now cost what they do in real life: the bigger the stadium, the more it costs to run each week. Also in this update: • Several clubs can now ask for the same player on loan at once, and each loan offer shows whether the club plays the same style as you. • Loan offers are more compact and fit on any screen. • Squad lists always show position, age and nationality in full.

Design your kits. Make a home and an away kit: two colours from 24, one of 18 patterns, the sleeves and the collar. Each July the kit supplier asks for next season's kits, and you redesign them or keep the ones you have. Sponsors on the shirt. Every sponsor deal now has its own spot: front of shirt, sleeve, training kit or back of shirt. You start with the front of the shirt and open more spots as you climb. Front and sleeve sponsors are printed on your kits. Hire an agent. Give an agent a brief with the quality you want, plus the playing style and formation where they matter, and he comes back in about two weeks with three candidates who fit. It works for the manager and every backroom role. New faces. Every player and member of staff has a new portrait in their club's kit, and faces age over a career. You can pick your own hairstyle when you start a club.

Buying a player is now a negotiation. Your scouts give you a range for what the selling club wants, and the better you know the player, the tighter it gets. Pick one of four offers, each showing how likely it is to be accepted, or name your own figure. The club can accept, come back with a price of its own, or lose patience. If it does, it won't discuss that player for 14 days, and your next offer has to beat your best one. Careers started before the previous update still had clubs abroad with names like "China PR CF 3". They now have proper place-based names, the same ones a new game uses.

CORPORATION TAX Every club now pays 25% tax on its annual profit, settled on 1 July. Losses carry forward and are used up before anything is taxed. Money you put in yourself counts as capital, so it is never taxed. Finance shows your profit for the year and the bill to expect. EUROPEAN NIGHTS Your continental fixtures now appear on Home and in the Schedule with everything else, and the final is yours to play. The season no longer rolls into pre-season while a European final or a promotion play-off is still to be decided. INTERNATIONAL SUMMER TOURNAMENTS When a major international tournament starts, your internationals are called up and stay away while their nation is still in it. Knocked out in the groups, and they are back with you. THE TRANSFER MARKET A club that comes back for one of your players has to beat its own last offer, or it stays away. Clubs abroad now follow the divisions that would plausibly interest them, so a lower-league squad is no longer circled constantly. A genuinely good player is still scouted wherever he happens to play. PRE-SEASON Your first July used to pass with nothing happening. Scouts hired on day one now start immediately and report before the opening fixture, and wages run all year. "Pre-season week" no longer shows once the season has kicked off. ADMINISTRATION A club relegated with debts it cannot repay goes into administration. Its books are written down and it cannot sign anyone for a season, though it can still sell.

Every league table in the game now shows the full picture. World leagues, the European league phase and international groups all use the same detailed layout as your own league table - complete W/D/L and goals columns, with promotion, play-off, relegation and European places marked. - See who's in line for Europe: the top-flight table marks the Continental Cup, Shield and Plate places as they stand. - Hear the good news the moment it's certain: an inbox item tells you when your club has secured European football - and again if the guarantee improves. - European knockout draws land in your inbox, and the competition table is visible from the day of the draw, along with your full league-phase schedule. - National squads now look like real squads: three goalkeepers, plus two players for every position in the national coach's formation. - Squad stats now count what a player has done for your club; the Career and This Season columns are club-scoped, for youth players too. - Sell a star for far more than he's worth and your manager will accept it, reluctantly, instead of always objecting. - Fixed: you could re-hire your old manager right after another club signed him. Managers now stay put for a while after a move.

SEE WHAT A COUNTER-OFFER COSTS Countering an offer gives you four costed asks with the player's market value beside them and a read on how each one will land. Push too hard and the buyer comes back with a figure of their own. Take it, hold firm, or leave it. THE WHOLE WORLD IS BIDDING Clubs across all 100 countries chase your players on the same terms as English ones, and they bid through the whole season. A striker you developed has somewhere to go and a fee to match. A PHYSIO DEPARTMENT TO BUILD Facilities has a third building. A physio department prevents injuries, cuts how long a knock keeps a player out, and gets the squad back to full between matches. That matters most in a week with three games in it. THE TOP FACILITY LEVELS COST MORE Levels 1 to 6 are unchanged. The top of every ladder (training, youth, physio and your academies) now costs far more to buy and to run. A level 10 training ground is a €39M project that then costs €500k a week. Winning the top division used to cover every running cost a fully built club had, with money spare. It now covers about two thirds. THE CLUB SHOP HAS BILLS Merchandising used to be free money once bought. It has staff and stock to pay for now, and the shop shows what it earns, what it costs and what it nets. RIVALS SPEND WHAT THEY EARN Other clubs weigh what a facility costs to run against what they take in, build steadily as they climb, and cut back when relegation leaves them overstretched. A club deep in debt now sells a player to get out of it. CUP NIGHTS GO THE DISTANCE Drawn knockout ties, including two-legged European ones, go to extra time and then penalties, and the match tells you which of the two decided it. FIXES International duty shows only the games in the current break. It used to list a nation's whole campaign. Scouting no longer reports a potential range that sits below a player's current ability. Your manager retires at the end of his contract and gives you a season's notice, so he never walks out mid-contract, and a manager who does leave is announced in your inbox.

THE RECORD BOOK Your club now keeps its own records, tracked from your first match. Biggest win and heaviest defeat, most appearances overall and by position, most goals, most assists, most international caps, and the best single-season hauls for goals, assists and clean sheets. When a record changes hands, it makes the news. Find it under Club → Owner → Records. CAREER STATS, CLUB BY CLUB Player profiles now break appearances, goals and assists down per club, so you can see what a signing did for you and what he did before he arrived. International caps are tracked alongside them. YOUNGSTERS GROW INTO IT Newly generated players no longer arrive at their peak. They start well short of their ceiling and develop with age and coaching, so scouting a 17-year-old is a bet on potential again. Squads across the rest of the world now develop season to season too, instead of standing still. YOUR MANAGER WARNS YOU FIRST An unhappy manager tells you before he walks, giving you time to act. The club also stops sending complaints about a manager who has already left.

This update makes the wider football world work the way it should. Plus clearer loans and a handful of fixes. CLUBS EVERYWHERE FIELD FULL SQUADS The leading clubs in every country, Brazil and Ghana and Japan included, now have squads at every age group, and each one takes in new players every year. Any country you point a scout at is worth scouting. SCOUTING WORKS IN EVERY COUNTRY Pick a nation, then set the position, age and playing style you want. Foreign searches used to come back empty or return nothing but goalkeepers. They now turn up prospects in every position, season after season. LOANS TELL YOU WHAT THEY COST The loan screen shows the exact weekly wage you'll cover and updates it as you move the slider, then confirms the terms once the deal is done. Clubs won't lend you a player far above your level. A player on loan won't hand in a transfer request while he's with you. YOU CAN SEE WHO A PLAYER PLAYS FOR A player's current club now shows in scouting, in national team lists and on his profile. Unscouted players show an ability range until your scouts finish their work. That includes national team call-ups, which used to give away an exact rating. SUPPORTERS JUDGE YOU MORE FAIRLY Fans weigh league form against how strong your squad actually is, rather than reputation alone. Winning a match no longer drops their mood.
