BeeTunes 2.9 prints your songs' lyrics on each machine's own paper. • Lyrics come from your own music: words saved in your music files show up by themselves, and you can import .lrc files along with your songs, or long-press a song in your library's song list to choose one for it. Any song's lyrics can also be read from the library. • Turntable: "Lyrics" is printed under the artist. Tap the title to pull out a folded lyric insert, and push it up to unfold it panel by panel. • CD player: the display lights TEXT. Tap the title to open the CD booklet and turn its pages. • Cassette deck: the display lights TEXT. Tap the title to pull out the J-card, typeset for an album and handwritten for a single. • Digital player: LRC lights up; tap the title and the words fill its screen. Timed lyrics light up line by line as the song plays. • Translations are printed in smaller type beneath each line. Flick the paper down to put it away. • A new special edition for the turntable, Liquid Filled: clear vinyl with liquid sealed inside. At rest it pools to one side, as the record spins it swirls out into a ring, and it runs as you tilt your phone. • The player on your Lock Screen now shows your records, discs and tapes the way you've dressed them on each machine: the same color vinyl, disc print and cassette shell. • New app icons: a record pressed in honey-amber vinyl with a gold-foil bee, and the same bee on every machine's icon and on Apple Watch. • With iPhone on its side, the turntable, cassette deck, radio and digital player drop their shuffle and repeat switches too; set them from Up Next.

BeeTunes 2.8 presses your records in color vinyl, prints your CDs and molds your tapes in colored shells. • Press the turntable's records in translucent, smoke, marble, splatter or opaque color vinyl, each colored from its album's cover, or give every album a pressing of its own. Translucent vinyl glows in its color on the side toward the light, and your Home Screen widgets play the same record. • Four special editions join them: Starry Night, Quad Split, Drip and Mother of Pearl, whose sheen shifts as you tilt your phone. • The CD player prints its discs the ways real discs are printed: a silver CD, a spot color, a gold CD, a vinyl-look CD, the cover printed straight on silver, or a burned CD-R written on in marker. • The cassette deck molds its tapes in clear, smoked, tinted or solid-color shells, with a paper label or the title printed right on the shell. • A new palette button in the player's corner changes how the machine in front of you looks, and takes you to any of the five machines. • The turntable gets a straight tonearm, and its records a smooth run-out by the label. On iPhone Duo stood part open, the record is bigger. • On iPhone held upright, the turntable, cassette deck and radio play from a single row of keys, with shuffle and repeat at the top of Up Next. • Every machine now carries the BeeTunes maker's mark.

BeeTunes 2.7 rebuilds the CD player as a hi-fi top loader and brings new ways to listen on a folding phone. • The CD player is now a hi-fi top loader: a smoked lid you lift by hand, and a heavy puck holding the disc down. RANDOM, REPEAT and PROGRAM are real keys that light up on its display, and the widgets and lock screen get the new look too. • Stand iPhone Duo part open to watch your music play: the turntable lies on the lower half under its raised dust cover, the spinning record mirrored in it. The CD player and the cassette deck lay their booklet or J-card open on felt below, the songs there to tap. • Open iPhone Duo out flat to flip through your whole collection in a crate, and pick a record, tape or disc to play it. • While a station plays, the radio's dial carries the BeeTunes maker's mark. • While a podcast episode plays, the digital player's screen grows taller.

BeeTunes 2.6 turns the digital player into a podcast player and gives you more ways to find something to play. • The digital player now plays podcasts: press MENU to browse shows on its screen, and when an episode ends the next one you haven't heard starts. The episode and its cover also appear on the widget and the lock screen. • A real slide switch on the radio and the digital player flips between your music and radio or podcasts, picking up the last station or episode you played. • Open Apple Music search without typing to browse: a shuffled grab bag, Top Charts, For You and your playlists. • The Albums tab now shows the top albums chart. • Fixes Apple Music chart songs sometimes showing up without a cover.

BeeTunes 2.5 puts live radio on the air and makes the turntable feel even more like the real thing. • The radio now tunes in to live internet radio: popular stations from your region appear as soon as you open it, with search, presets and your own stream links. The radio and its widget remember the last station you played. • Lay a hand on a playing record to scratch it — the song slows, speeds up and runs backwards with your hand. • Turn the record to move through Apple Music songs too. • The needle now stays right where you set it down. • Fixes Apple Music covers in the record crate sometimes showing the wrong artwork.

BeeTunes 2.4 tidies up your library and brings streaming further into the experience. • Apple Music songs now appear on the Lock Screen playback card too, with their cover art. • A cleaner library: clear tabs for where your music comes from and what to browse, and search tucks into a button until you need it. • Tap the song that’s playing to pause or resume it — in your library and on Apple Music album pages, where Play Album also turns into Pause. • The record crate now sorts albums and singles into their own tabs. • In landscape, the CD player’s display is better sized behind more realistic fluorescent glass, and the radio’s layout and buttons are fixed. • Fixes missing artwork for recently played Apple Music songs.

BeeTunes 2.3 makes every machine more precise and keeps your queue in step. • Set repeat exactly the way you want it: Off, All, or One — on local music and streaming catalog playback. • The CD deck now shows elapsed and total track time, with its remaining-time display still one tap away. • The cassette looks more like the real thing: as it plays, the tape runs past the openings at the foot of the cassette, and the reels turn the way a real deck’s do. • Widgets can show what is up next for catalog albums, so the queue is easier to follow at a glance. • More reliable album queue recovery and natural track-to-track playback for Apple Music.

BeeTunes 1.16 makes the machines look more like the real thing. • The Cassette Deck now holds a cassette that looks real, and its two reels each turn at their own pace as the tape winds from one to the other. While it plays, the tape well and the meters light up. • The Transistor Radio is sewn into finer leather, with chrome around its grille and dial. The CD Deck's lid and speaker grille look real too, and on the Turntable the stylus catches the light where it rides the groove, so you can always see where it is. • On the widgets, the pocket players (the tape player, the portable CD player, the radio and the digital player) now look real as well, laid on a felt desk mat. • Tap a widget and BeeTunes opens on that widget's machine.

BeeTunes 1.15 gives changing records, CDs and tapes a whole new look. • On the Turntable, the CD Deck and the Cassette Deck, the shelf now opens over the whole screen: your collection stands in one long row, seen from straight above. Slide along it and the view tilts as you go; the one right below you shows just the name on its spine. • Tap one and it rises to face you: the record slides out of its sleeve, the CD case opens and the disc lifts off its hub, the cassette case tips open and the tape comes out, and then it goes into the machine. • Turn it sideways and the shelf turns with it. • The Turntable's tonearm now shows in full on the small and large widgets.

BeeTunes 1.14 brings the machines on your Home Screen to life while the music plays. • The record on the Turntable turns, cover and all; the CD spins and the cassette's reels wind along. • The Transistor Radio's needle wanders around its station, and the lamp on the Digital Player's pressed key glows and dims.

BeeTunes 1.13 keeps every machine on your Home Screen in step with the music. • The CD Deck, Cassette Deck, Transistor Radio and Digital Player on your Home Screen answer their keys again, and their clocks keep running while a track plays.

BeeTunes 1.12 gives the machine the whole screen in landscape. • Turn your iPhone on its side and the machine fills the screen: the cassette door, the CD lid, the radio dial, the digital player's screen, or the whole turntable, with the keys beside it under your thumb. • On its side, the shelf slides out from the edge of the screen, so the machine keeps all of its height. • On an album, set the arm down anywhere and it plays from exactly that spot, even in the middle of another song. The gaps between songs stay where they are as the record plays.

BeeTunes 1.11 puts your albums on the shelf. • Albums: the library now keeps Songs and Albums side by side. An album plays whole: one side of a record, one side of a tape, or one disc in the CD deck. Loose songs are pressed as 7-inch singles. • On the turntable, set the arm down on any song, or turn the record to find a place in it. The gaps between songs show in the grooves. • The shelf keeps albums at the front and singles behind a divider, and the Home Screen machines show the album side you're playing. • App Icon: in Settings, pick any of the five machines for your Home Screen, with the same bee on each.

BeeTunes 1.10 drops the needle with one press, and the machines on your Home Screen now keep time. • Drop the Needle: add it to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button, and one press starts your music or pauses it. • Surface Noise for 1 More Hour: with the sleep timer set, tick it and the record keeps crackling, or the tape keeps hissing, after the music has gone. • The machines on your Home Screen now show how far into the track you are, and the record, the disc and the reels turn as soon as you press play.

BeeTunes 1.9 adds a sleep timer, and every machine now feels the way it sounds. • Sleep Timer: pick 15, 30 or 45 minutes, an hour, or the end of the track, and the music fades out before it stops. • Feel each machine as well as hear it: the needle landing, the CD lid latching, the cassette's piano keys, the radio clicking into a station. • The radio has sounds of its own: turn the tuning knob and each station comes in through a breath of static. The digital player gets lighter keys and a HOLD switch of its own. • A new Surface Noise slider in Settings turns the record's crackle and the tape's hiss up, down or off.

BeeTunes 1.8 sorts your library, and your watch plays on its own. • Sort your library by title, artist or date added. • Apple Watch plays on its own: skip tracks, pick its own machine, and keep listening in the background. • The machines handle their media more like the real thing: the cassette door opens in one piece and the tape slides in behind the glass, a record rests where the platter stops, and a CD shows its clear hub. • Swipe anywhere around the machine to change machines, not just on its name.

BeeTunes 1.7 turns on its side. • Turn your iPhone on its side: the machine and your collection sit side by side. • The play, pause and skip keys on the Home Screen widgets now work even when BeeTunes has been closed for a while.

BeeTunes 1.6 puts four more machines on the shelf. • Five players, all free: the turntable is joined by a CD deck, a cassette deck, a radio and a digital player — each with its own controls and sounds. BeeTunes 1.5 makes the deck feel real. • Deck sound effects: the stylus drops and lifts, and a warm surface crackle plays under the music. Turn it on or off in Settings. • Tap or swipe up anywhere on the mini player to open the full deck — play/pause stays where it is. • Rate BeeTunes and send feedback right from Settings. • Audio session fixes make playback start more reliably.
