Receipt and label scans used to come back empty on some photos — and taking the same shot again didn't help. That's fixed: pictures now reach the scanner at full readable quality, so the first try usually works. Small fixes and polish.

One camera instead of five choices. Photograph a receipt, a barcode or the food itself — the app works out which it is and takes it from there. The separate scanners are still in the menu if you prefer to pick. Tapping a notification now opens the screen it promised. Reminders about your subscription, shopping list and weekly menu used to drop you on the home screen instead. If a receipt can't be read, the app offers to take another photo instead of a dead end — and says so in your language. New shelves are named in your language from the first launch.

Tapping a notification now opens the screen it promised. Reminders about your subscription, shopping list and weekly menu used to drop you on the home screen instead — they now go straight where they say. If a receipt can't be read, the app offers to take another photo instead of a dead end, and says so in your language. New shelves are created in your language from the first launch.

Adding your first food is now one photo. The empty fridge used to lead with "Scan a receipt" — which assumes you kept one. Now it leads with photographing the shelf: point the camera at what's actually in front of you and everything on it goes in at once. Receipt scanning is still there, just no longer first in line.

Dinner, decided for you at 5 pm. • A new notification at 5 pm suggests one dish to cook tonight, built around whatever in your fridge needs eating first. It arrives on the days you have opened the app — the suggestion is prepared while you are in it. • Scanning a receipt now separates what we are sure about from what we are not. Items whose expiry we could not work out are grouped at the top and marked, and the Add button waits until you have given them a date instead of adding them silently.

Scan the date instead of typing it. • Point the camera at the "best before" printed on a pack and the expiry date fills itself in — both when you add a product and on any product you already saved. • Your shopping list now knows what is already at home. Anything still in your fridge or pantry is marked "Already have", with where it sits and how much — so you stop buying a fourth jar of paprika. • Homes can be renamed. If joining someone else's household left you with two of them called "Home", you can finally tell them apart.

• Add a receipt as a PDF — straight from your store's app, no photo needed • The app now says out loud what it added by voice, and stays silent when your media volume is off • New start screen: four ways in — receipt, fridge photo, product photo, or voice • New categories: Eggs and Pet food • Choose when your daily summary arrives • Several items expired at once? One tap handles the whole batch • Medicines: expiry date required, separate date for an opened package • Products are sorted into categories far more accurately in every language

Snap your whole fridge. One photo of an open shelf adds everything on it — you tick what to keep and where it goes. Long receipts, several photos. Shoot a long till receipt in a few overlapping frames and we read them together. Read the date off the pack. While reviewing a receipt, photograph any item's label and its expiry fills itself in. Pounds and ounces. If your profile is set to imperial, the app now offers lb, oz and fl oz instead of asking you to convert. Plus smaller fixes to voice input and expiry reminders.

Turning Weekly Menu or the Medicine cabinet on and off now takes effect right away — no need to restart the app. Adding your first product is now one tap: the Add, Voice and Scan buttons on the Home screen open the right screen straight away. Meal cards in your Weekly Menu now have an "I made this" button to log what you cooked, plus a link to a YouTube video for the recipe. Expiry reminders on the lock screen now show their buttons in your language, even if you switch languages after the app is installed.

Using an item no longer takes more than you asked for: with 5 packs of 400 g, using 400 g now leaves 4 packs instead of emptying the card. • Same fix when taking medicine and when moving products • A card shows the total across all its packs, and litres are no longer added to grams • Crossing items off from a receipt no longer deletes other things from your list • "Clear bought" works again

• Your expiry reminders now arrive reliably — switch them on during setup so nothing in your fridge or freezer slips past its date. • A clear "Add product" button makes logging your first item quick. • Moving food between fridge and freezer now lets you pick the exact quantity. Thanks for the reviews and feedback — they shape what we build next.
