Keel: Debt & AI Coach
See your debt clearly
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases
Keel is the first Malaysian money app built around that difference — so you always know which debt actually matters. Your Atome plan ends. Your credit card doesn't.
Keel sorts everything you owe into three kinds:
FINITE — BNPL & installments (Atome, SPayLater, EzyPay). These end. Keel shows you when.
FOREVER — subscriptions. Keel shows what they really cost you.
REVOLVING — credit cards. The one quietly bleeding interest. Keel flags it first.
WHAT YOU GET FREE
Financial health, honestly scored — Cash Flow, Debt Health, Resilience
Your real leftover each month, and exactly how it's calculated
A timeline of when each debt ends and your monthly load drops
One-tap balance updates and gentle payment reminders
KEEL PREMIUM
An AI coach that gives it straight — "Which debt do I attack first?" "Can I afford this?" Honest answers, no jargon
Your personalised debt-free plan
Monthly or annual. The free tier is real and stays free.
PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
No account. No bank login. No analytics. No ads. Your data never leaves your phone — there's no server database, so we couldn't see it if we wanted to. The AI coach only receives an anonymised summary: no names, no banks, no account numbers.
Keel is an informational and educational tool — not a bank, lender, or financial adviser.
Built for Malaysia, in Ringgit, for how debt actually works here.

more Share the progress, not your numbers.
• Sharing is now two cards, not a canvas picker. Financial Health comes as a Keel plate, white ink or black ink — swipe to choose — and the Report Card is one tap away.
• Plate is a Keel sticker you place over your own photo; the ink cards are content only, for dropping onto a light or a dark background.
• Save the asset, copy it, share it anywhere, or post it straight to Instagram Stories.
• Every share asset is public-safe by design: scores only — never an amount, a balance or an account name.
• The countdown widget no longer says "No debts yet" when a card payment never clears its balance. It now says the payoff date is unavailable and points you to your plan.
• Reset Local Data now clears everything it says it does, including assets, payment history and card records.
1.1.3 5d ago
Clearer card payments, and a Debt Health score that does not depend on how many cards you hold.
• This Month now separates the amount you are required to pay (Must Pay) from the payoff plan you chose (Payment Plan). A full-statement plan stays visible as a plan, instead of reading like a bill you are behind on.
• Switching a card between minimum and full statement no longer moves your Cash Flow or Debt Health score. It changes the plan and the payoff guidance, nothing else.
• Debt Health is now independent of card count. The same balance at the same rate and payment scores the same whether it sits on one card or across two.
• "Due" and "Overdue" now mean only the contractual minimum, and a payoff you chose is labelled "Your plan" with its minimum shown beside it, on Home, Upcoming and the Next Payment widget.
• A statement whose minimum is paid but which still carries a balance now says it is accruing interest, instead of reading as nothing due.
• A card whose minimum is paid no longer makes Cash Flow look healthier than it is — what the card costs you each month still counts once the minimum is covered.
• Deleting a credit card now removes its saved statements and payments with it, and a backup taken after deleting a card restores instead of being rejected.
• On Android, Keel no longer requests broad access to your photos and videos.
v1.1.2 Sep 15
Keel 1.1.1 brings more accurate credit-card calculations, clearer statement tracking, shareable financial progress cards, and a smoother onboarding experience.
Credit cards and statements
- Your current card balance and issued statement balance are now tracked separately.
- Partial payments correctly reduce the amount remaining on a statement.
- Payments update statement progress, payment history, and your current card balance together.
- Overdue status now reflects what remains unpaid instead of ignoring recorded payments.
- Statement balance, minimum due, payment due date, current balance, and payment plan are clearly separated.
- Improved handling when your current balance is lower or higher than your statement balance.
- Added reconciliation guidance for payments, refunds, bank credits, fees, and corrections.
- New statement, balance, payment, and history actions make card management easier to find.
- Statement and payment reminders now use the latest available card information.
- Existing and incomplete credit-card records continue using safe fallback calculations until their statement details are ready.
- All card calculations use currency-safe values to reduce rounding errors.
Share your progress
- Create Financial Health cards showing your overall score and health categories.
- Celebrate improvements with Score Climb cards that compare your previous and current results.
- Generate an Asian Mom Report Card for a playful view of your financial progress.

v1.1.1 Sep 12
A clearer view of your commitments.
- Choose your Coach: Balanced, Teacher or Asian mom. Your selected voice applies to chat and category explanations, with shared financial safeguards.
- Ask Coach to compare custom extra payments on a recorded credit card, using Keel's calculator with clearly labelled estimates. Asian mom adds Malaysian-Chinese mum expressions and sharper situational humour, while keeping hardship responses supportive.
- Category suggestions validate the available pool and keep the same allocation when changing personality; review before applying.
- Yearly bills now show their full annual amount separately from monthly commitments. They count toward This Month when due, instead of being spread across every month.
- Find your items faster with Ledger filters, including Paid off & inactive.
- Open dedicated monthly and yearly commitment views from the Ledger summaries.
- Credit cards have clearer payment, minimum and balance labels.
- Enjoy consistent, smoother outlook graphs and more readable card typography.
- This Month now says “Left after commitments” to make the amount clearer.
- Contact the developer on Threads directly from Settings.
- Category suggestions now show a relevant Premium introduction, and closing it returns to This Month.
v1.1.0 Sep 5
More reliable car and home loans [Bug Fixes]
Keep the monthly payment you enter separate from the amount you still owe, so loan payments stay consistent across Keel. Older loans get a guided review of their balance, remaining term, and linked vehicle or property without resetting their payment progress.
v1.0.9 Sep 3
Currency support beyond Southeast Asia
Around 36 currencies, grouped by region so yours is easy to find. Amounts now format correctly for each one — including currencies that put the symbol after the number, and the ones that use three decimal places. The six Southeast Asian markets keep their curated bank and provider lists; elsewhere you enter your own, and the Coach says plainly when it doesn't know a market's local specifics rather than guessing at them.
See the payoff, not just the number
Your plan now draws the actual path your balance takes down to zero. On a card, the comparison shows your payment against the legal minimum as two lines — the gap between them is what you're saving. Free accounts see the shape of that saving too.
Coach starts a better conversation
The suggested questions are rewritten around what's genuinely hard to work out alone — where an extra payment does the most good, how much of what you pay is really interest, what's actually holding your debt-free date back — instead of questions you already know the answer to.
A calmer, clearer Keel
New typeface throughout. The health rings and the This Month donut now fill in as you open the screen. Settings is a flatter, quieter list, with your name, subscription and ID gathered under Profile. Headings are no longer set in all caps, and screen headings no longer compete with the numbers underneath them.
Fixes - General
The launch screen looked broken: the Keel mark is dark ink and it was being drawn on a black background, so it was effectively invisible. It now has its own light and dark versions, on backgrounds that match the app.
Keel also stopped showing the launch screen before your data had finished loading, so you could land on an empty-looking Home for a moment. It now waits.
The Coach message box distorted once you typed more than one line, and the send button drifted out of place. Rebuilt so only the text area grows.
Your card's own name was being forced into capital letters on the payoff comparison and payment history screens.
v1.0.8 Aug 30
This Month — a new tab
Payday, answered in one screen. What came in, what has to go out, what's left.
Must Pay groups everything you owe by what's actually at stake if it slips — from losing your car, down to a subscription that just stops. So when money is short, you can see which end of the list is dangerous.
What's left becomes your spending categories. Unlimited and free — plan groceries, fuel, family, whatever your month actually looks like.
Coach can plan it with you — suggesting how to split what's left across your categories, savings, and extra debt payment, with the reasoning for each. Review, adjust, accept. Premium.
Confirm what you paid. On payday, a quick pass through what was due, so Keel knows where you actually stand.
Also
Assets can now record which institution they're with — EPF, ASB, your bank.
Fixed
Yearly subscriptions were counted at their full annual cost every month. Now they show their monthly share.
Credit card minimum estimates used Malaysian amounts in every market — Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam were all wrong on smaller balances.
Your card's real statement minimum now flows through the whole app instead of being overridden by an estimate, and it's marked when it's gone stale.
Vehicles linked to a car loan weren't appearing in your assets list.
v1.0.7 Aug 17
Coach is sharper
Coach now works from the same numbers the rest of the app calculates, instead of estimating its own. Payoff dates match your Plan, interest figures are real amortisation rather than rough multiplication, and "what if I paid extra?" gives you precise, consistent answers at several payment levels.
It's also safer about your commitments. Coach now knows what's due and when, and will never suggest skipping or delaying a scheduled BNPL or loan payment — prioritisation is only ever about surplus.
Now available for Southeast Asia
Choose your currency during setup, or change it any time in Settings. Keel supports Malaysian Ringgit, Singapore Dollar, Philippine Peso, Thai Baht, Indonesian Rupiah, and Vietnamese Dong, each formatted the way people actually write it.
Guidance adapts too — payment suggestions are sized for your currency, provider and card suggestions match your market, and debt-counselling referrals point somewhere useful wherever you are.
Setup improvements
First-time setup now asks for your income and expenses, so your leftover and runway are accurate from day one. Setup also correctly resumes if you're interrupted partway through.
v1.0.6 Aug 3
Upcoming — every payment due next, in one list. Mark them paid as you go.
Theme customization — browse them in Settings → Appearance and preview each one on your own home screen before choosing.
More for free — your debt-free date and your real interest savings, no subscription needed.
3 days free trial — try Premium at no cost. Cancel any time.
1.0.5 Aug 1
Send feedback from inside the app
- Tell us what's broken or what you'd like — right from Settings.
See what's new and what's coming up
- A What's new screen showing what's shipped, what we're building, and what we've chosen not to build.
1.0.4 Jul 28
Log your payments and watch your debt shrink.
Instead of updating a balance, just log what you paid — Keel shows how much went to interest vs. what actually came off what you owe, keeps your payment history, and celebrates when you clear a card.
A real payoff strategy, not just a snapshot.
Your Plan now compares snowball vs. avalanche in your own numbers, with a slider to see how paying a little extra moves your debt-free date.
A home screen that shows you're moving.
Reorganized around what matters: where you stand, your next move, and real progress on the debt you're actively paying down.
Your data is yours — now you can back it up and restore it.
Export your full Keel data and import it back on a new phone. No account needed, nothing leaves your device unless you share it.
[Home and car loans, done properly. Track them with real equity — what it's worth, what you owe, what's yours — kept separate from your credit-card debt.]
A smarter Coach. More practical, less pushy — straight answers about your money.
Plus reminders that only nudge you when you actually haven't logged a payment yet.
1.0.3 Jul 26
Keel now understands home loans and car loans properly — your property and vehicle debts are tracked separately from BNPL, with real equity. We've reorganized how loans work; open the app to check your home and car loans.
1.0.2 Jul 21
- New welcome guide when you first open Keel — get set up in seconds
- Fixed: paywall now scrolls properly on smaller iPhones
- Small improvements throughout
1.0.1 Jul 15
