Recording and transcripts - Record a conversation in the app, with the screen locked, and get it transcribed automatically - Live transcription in the app (watch it as its transcribing). - Bring in a voice memo or audio file you already have, from the app or by sharing it to Tessera. - A review screen: say who said what, fix mistakes, add a note, then pick what gets saved or acted on. - A consent notice before recording, so you're reminded to tell the other person. - Recordings and transcripts show up in your Library, with their own filter. Plans and paying - New less expensive Starter plan, shown first on the plans screen. - Change your plan from inside the app — move up, move down, and it handles the Google/Apple differences. - The memory-only plan is gone. People - Filters at the top of People, and a searchable picker for choosing someone. - A person's card now shows their relationships, their education, and their work history laid out properly. - A relationship can end, and a person can pass away, without odd wording or a reminder that shouldn't come. - A birthday picker that can't produce a date the system rejects; the birthday filter also reads older free-text birthdays. - Mark someone as "also a friend". Everything else - When you add something to a list that's already on it, the app says so instead of quietly duplicating. - The app asks for a store rating the first time it visibly remembers something for you. - The "What's New" sheet stops reappearing after you close the app. - Chat answers show their sources, and say plainly when the model can't search. - Updated legal wording (September 18) and a clearer settings explanation of when things save.

New - Panel: ask several AI models at once, get a consolidated reply, see all individual responses if desired. - Tasks: create tasks with estimates and due dates, see them on the day and month views, open a task's own screen, undo a delete, and see them in the widget. - Lists - create and manage lists for anything and everything, which can be managed by the chat function. - Scan - scan a document or schedule, Tessera turns them into facts, calendar events, reminders, and more with your approval. - Sharing into Tessera - share files with Tessera directly from other apps to add to memory or create calendar events/tasks/reminders - How to use Tessera: a guide in Settings, with a Replay the tour option.

NEW: HOME SCREEN WIDGET Tessera now ships a home screen widget ("Tessera Today") showing the next thing on the user's day, with tiles to open chat, the calendar, the camera, or dictation. Add it from Settings > Widget, or long-press the home screen. Settings > Widget also has a privacy switch that hides the content of the widget for anyone who doesn't want it visible. NEW: VOICE DICTATION (microphone + speech recognition permissions) Users can talk instead of type in the chat composer. Speech is converted to text ON THE DEVICE using the platform's own on-device recognizer. Audio is never recorded, stored, or sent to us or to any third party. If a device does not support on-device recognition, we do not offer dictation at all rather than fall back to server-side transcription. NEW: SCAN (uses the existing camera permission) On the Calendar tab, the camera button lets a user photograph a page -- a school letter, an appointment card, a schedule -- and Tessera proposes calendar entries and facts found on it. Nothing is saved until the user reviews the proposals and taps Add; every row can be edited, unticked, or undone. Health-related items arrive unticked by default and require a deliberate opt-in. CHANGED: FIRST RUN The intro slides and the setup form are gone. A confirmed account now lands directly in a conversation where Tessera asks for the user's name. CHANGED: SIGN-IN AND DEVICE SECURITY The Face ID lock is now enforced by the keychain itself rather than by app logic, and the password is no longer pre-filled into the sign-in form. CHANGED: SUBSCRIPTION SCREEN Calendar access is now included on every tier and is no longer listed as a reason to upgrade. Connectors are likewise no longer presented as a paid perk. The AI usage meter moved from the chat screen to Settings > Subscription. No prices or products changed. ALSO NEW - Universal links: app.your-tessera.com links now open in the app. - Monthly and yearly repeat options for calendar entries and reminders. - An optional (off by default) "follow up after" prompt on events. - People profiles: a rebuilt "add someone" flow and an open-items list on each person's card.
