Archive Expert: RAR & 7z
Unzip, unrar and open files
Only for Mac
Free · In‑App Purchases
Mac
macOS cannot open RAR. Archive Expert opens RAR, 7z, and ZIP, multi-part sets included, shows what is inside, and extracts only what you want. First extraction free.
macOS opens ZIP archives on its own, but it will not open RAR or 7z. Archive Expert does, and it shows you what is inside before anything is written to disk.
Open ZIP, 7z, and RAR files, browse the folder tree, check file names and sizes, and extract only the files or folders you actually want. It is built for messy downloaded bundles, large archives, and RAR or 7z workflows where blind full extraction wastes time.
The app runs locally on your Mac. There is no cloud processing and no account system.
Every install includes one free extraction, any format and any size, RAR, 7z, and extract all included. It is spent only when files actually land on disk. After that, browsing stays free along with single ZIP files under 10 MB. Archive Expert Pro, available as an additional App Store purchase, unlocks extraction for every format and size.

Every install now gets one free extraction, any format and any size, RAR, 7z, and extract all included. It is spent only when files actually land on disk, so you can try the app on a real archive before deciding.
Plans and Restore Purchases are now always reachable, from the app menu and from a new plans section in Settings. Neither one makes you hit a wall first.
