· Manual Levels: set black/white points and midtones per channel, with black, gray and white eyedroppers — rescue the difficult frames by hand. · Pre-Saturation: applied after mask removal and before auto levels, it changes how colours separate in the final image. · My Presets: save a look you like and apply it to other negatives in one tap — update, rename or undo any time. · Pin favourites: long-press any adjustment to pin it to the front, so the ones you use most are always in reach.

More RAW files import now. Files that used to fail with “Can’t read this file” — newer camera bodies, and non-Bayer sensors like Fujifilm X-Trans — import at full resolution and convert normally. When iOS can’t decode a format, kaGuang’s own decoder takes over; if that still can’t open it, the app falls back to the camera’s embedded preview and tells you how large that frame really is, so you never mistake it for full resolution. Also fixed importing from Photos: some selected photos wouldn’t load, and RAW photos could stay as blank grey tiles in the picker. Import error messages now tell you what to do next.

Free credits now work differently: instead of a trial that counts down in days, you get 5 complimentary full-quality exports (original resolution, no watermark, all formats) that never expire — one credit per photo. Metering, negative conversion, grading and every other feature stay free and unlimited, and once the credits are used you can still export without limit, as watermarked 1080p JPEGs.

The film library now covers 121 stocks across 27 brands — Fujicolor C400, Kodak cine stocks 5203/5207/5213/5219/5222, Harman Phoenix and Phoenix II, ORWO, Reflx Lab and more — with discontinued stocks clearly marked. 2. Each stock now shows a box icon with its speed and type, and you can photograph your own box to replace that icon (square viewfinder, stored only on your device). 3. Tapping Log now saves a square thumbnail of the moment with the aperture, shutter, EI, film and gear imprinted on it; the EXIF pairing screen shows it beside each scanned photo so a mismatch is obvious at a glance. Clear them per frame or per roll whenever you like. 4. Fixed EV lock: readings no longer drift with the scene while locked in average or face metering, and the lock releases automatically when you switch metering modes or toggle face metering. 5. New Notes: turn a roll into a ready-to-post write-up under My Rolls → Notes. Dates, places, gear and each frame's settings and remarks are drafted from what you already logged; pick up to 9 photos (drag to reorder), copy the text in one go and share the originals at full resolution. Notes can be pinned, are listed by date, and carry a draft / shared / taken-down status.

1. New Film Bias: average metering compensates for the loaded film — +1 stop for color negative to protect shadows, none for slide film — and it's always visible in the readout. 2. Rolls now start at box speed with a freely chosen shooting EI, and push/pull no longer rewrites EI; any overexposure your EI already provides is subtracted from Film Bias instead of stacking. 3. The Average / Spot switch in the viewfinder is now a horizontal segment, with Zoom appearing under it in spot mode.

Native iPad support Crazy Film is now a real iPad app, not a stretched phone layout. Every panel has been rearranged for the larger screen. · Rebuilt grading suite — Curves and HSL now sit side by side, so there's no more switching back and forth. The curve is square with the channel buttons stacked along its edge, which makes control points far easier to drag. Colour wheels are bigger, with the RGB readouts moved out to the sides. · Larger type throughout — Interface text has been stepped up across the app, and it now follows your system Text Size setting. Parameter names, preset names and tab labels are all clearer. · Roomier panels — Export, frames, film-strip splitting, recipes and every other screen now open at a larger size on iPad, so there's far less scrolling. · Better strip splitting — Buttons, sliders and preview thumbnails are all larger, making offset and frame spacing much easier to fine-tune. Other improvements · Terms of Service and Privacy Policy now open full screen instead of resizing mid-load. · Avatar, handwritten signature and brand logo now use the in-app photo browser, which is faster and more reliable. · Fixed a number of text sizes that were too small to read comfortably.
