New words and fresh audio in the beginner course, plus small fixes to lesson text.

Grammar notes: finish a lesson and a short note explains the pattern you were just using, with sentences from your lessons you can tap to hear. Every note you unlock stays under Review. Dictionary: look up any word in the course in English, Arabic or transliteration, hear it, and see it in a sentence. You'll find it under Review too.

New turtle button on every sentence exercise. Tap it to hear the phrase at 70% speed, same voice, same recording, just slower. It sits next to Hear it again on fill-in-the-blank and build-the-phrase, and beside the audio on the listening exercises.

After you check a fill-in-the-blank or build-the-phrase answer, a Hear it again button now sits under the exercise. Tap it to replay the full sentence as often as you like before moving on.

Replaying a finished lesson now drills that lesson's words only. Answer options come from words you've already met, so nothing unfamiliar shows up before you've learned it.

Built for iOS 27. Signing out of your account no longer hides your subscription. A cleaner line under the top bar, and lesson screens stop bouncing when everything already fits.

An answer tile could sit a little lower than its neighbours. Fixed. On Android, the back button now takes you back one screen. It used to close the app.

A fix for careful learners. If you take your time answering, some of your words could get stuck in a state the app never showed again. They stopped coming up for review, and a unit checkpoint could turn up empty and leave the next unit locked. That's fixed now. Every word you've learned comes back for review when it's due, and a checkpoint always has something to ask. If your Review tab suddenly shows a lot of words, those are the ones that were hidden. Work through them at your own pace.

One of you asked in a review for a way to practice your learned words, like flashcards. Good idea. So here it is: open the Review tab and flip through your whole word list, card by card. Tap a card to see the meaning and hear it out loud. Sort it into Got it or Still learning. Anything you miss comes back until it sticks.

Streak freezes. Every full week of practice banks a freeze, up to two. Miss a day and one is spent for you, so a weekend away doesn't cost you the streak. They're earned, never sold. Your streak now tells the truth. If you've missed a day, the app shows it's on ice, and the widget on your home screen keeps up on its own. Tap the streak, XP or lessons numbers on your profile to see what they mean and how they're counted. Cloud backup for Pro members. Sign in with Apple or Google and your progress follows you to a new phone. Nothing you've earned can go backwards when two devices meet.

A small tune-up release. – If a purchase doesn't go through, the app now tells us exactly what went wrong, so we can fix payment hiccups much faster. – The "how did you hear about us?" question has better answers to pick from, including TikTok. More lessons are on the way.

Mostly a polish release, with one big piece: the audio. We redid all the audio across Unit 1 so it sounds clearer and more even, and fixed a batch of small wording and spelling details in the Palestinian Arabic throughout the course. Subscriptions got steadier too. The plans screen now recovers if your connection drops, and if a purchase ever goes through without unlocking, the app tells you how to fix it instead of just showing the paywall again. And if you bought on our website, that now unlocks the app on its own. We also fixed two rare crashes, one around audio and one around the lesson database. Thanks for learning with us. Yalla.

This update is mostly about the subscription screen behaving itself. - If you subscribed during launch week and stayed locked out anyway, that one's already fixed on our end. Reopen the app and you're in. - Plans that opened without prices on a shaky connection used to stay blank forever. The app now retries on its own, and you can retry with a tap. - If a payment goes through but Pro doesn't unlock, the app now tells you and points to the fix instead of quietly showing you the subscribe screen again. - Already subscribed? Tapping subscribe again now simply unlocks the app instead of doing nothing. - You can now subscribe while you're on the free trial. The button used to hide itself until the trial ended, which was silly. - There's a Support ID in Settings now. Include it when you write to us and we can usually sort things out the same day.
