Water Planter — Know When to Check, Know When to Water
Most plant apps guess a watering schedule and hope for the best. Water Planter is different: it reminds you to check the soil first, then helps you decide whether to water — using your plant's real conditions and the weather where you live.
SOIL-CHECK TIMERS, NOT BLIND SCHEDULES
Every plant gets a smart check-in timer based on species, pot size, soil type, drainage, light, and indoor/outdoor placement. When it's time, Water Planter nudges you to check the soil — dry, moist, or wet — and recalculates the next check from there.
AI PLANT IDENTIFICATION
Snap a photo and let AI identify your plant and suggest a starting watering interval, complete with an explanation and any care warnings for your specific setup.
WEATHER-SMART NOTIFICATIONS
Connected to live local forecasts, Water Planter adjusts your reminders automatically:
- Skips the reminder when rain is expected for outdoor plants
- Moves reminders earlier ahead of heat
- Delays reminders in cold conditions
- Keeps a 7-day forecast on hand so you always know what's coming
PLANT MOOD
Every plant shows a mood — Happy, Healthy, Okay, Thirsty, Very Thirsty, or Critical — based on time since last watering, weather, light, pot material, and soil type. Tap any mood chip to see exactly what's affecting it.
CARE STREAKS & MILESTONES
Build a watering streak and unlock badges as you go — Growing, Plant Parent, Plant Expert, Jungle Master. Going away? Vacation mode pauses reminders and protects your streak while you're out.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MANAGE YOUR PLANTS
- Today dashboard — see exactly what needs attention now
- Full watering and soil-check history, per plant and overall
- Upcoming timers in a calendar view, with snooze and edit

FREE VS PREMIUM
Free accounts can track up to 3 plants with monthly caps on AI features. Premium unlocks unlimited plants and higher AI plant-identification and watering-recommendation usage limits.
Whether you're keeping one succulent alive or managing a full indoor jungle, Water Planter turns "did I water this already?" into a simple, confident routine.
Download Water Planter and start checking soil, not guessing.
