Curb impulse in-app buys. Set monthly limits per app: free buying windows inside them, a small coin toll past them. Every IAP priced in hours of your work.
A $39.99 in-app pack = 1.3 hours of your work. Spend Toll shows that math every time you reach for IAP, and adds enough friction that the math gets seen before the tap.
THE FRICTION MODEL
Pick the apps where IAP gets you: games, streaming tips, subscription upsells. When you open one, Spend Toll's pause screen appears: "A $39.99 pack = 1.3 hours of your work." Press Enter and IAP pauses everywhere on your phone, not just in the app you opened. The queue starts. You still walk into the app and use it: purchases are what pause. Open more apps, press Enter on each, queue them up.
When you're ready, open Spend Toll. Every tolled app carries monthly limits you set when you add it: a few free window-opens, plus an optional spending line. Under those limits, opening a buying window is free. The pause and the math are the friction. Past either limit, that app costs a coin toll: 5 coins, or 4 with a plan (a one-line note of what you intend to buy). Either way a 5-minute buying window opens and IAP works for that one app during the window. A Live Activity counts the window down on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. When the window ends, IAP locks again on every app until you tap Resume normal IAP.
Past your limits with no coins left? Then no window opens and IAP stays paused. Coins come back slowly: honest reports earn them one at a time, and emergency top-ups are capped at 3 a month, on purpose. The limit you set is a limit that holds.
PRICED IN YOUR HOURS
Set your hourly wage once. Every IAP cost is reframed in hours of your work. A $9.99 cosmetic stops reading like "ten bucks." It reads like "20 minutes of work."
NO "MONEY SAVED" MATH
We never show "money saved." Stats only show real reported spend, real withstand counts, real time spent in buying windows. Draw your line: the monthly IAP amount you're OK with. Today shows where the month stands against it. End-of-month reflection asks you to guess what you spent versus the actual. The gap is the point.

- Hardcore Mode: pre-commit how many emergency coin packs you can buy in a month, below the built-in 3. Loosening it takes effect next month, by design. Tighten anytime.

EMERGENCY OVERRIDE
For moments when reflection and waiting aren't enough, optional coin packs ($0.99 / $2.99 / $5.99). Capped at 3 purchases per calendar month across all tiers. If you find yourself hitting the cap, the friction is working. The money is still leaving. Time to revisit your tolled-app list.
NO ACCOUNTS, NO SERVER, NO ANALYTICS
The app runs entirely on your device. iCloud syncs your coin balance and hourly wage between your iOS devices. We have no servers and no behavioral analytics: no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Firebase. Settings has an opt-in anonymous feedback form if you want to help us improve, but nothing tracks you by default.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
Spend Toll Pro is $19.99/year with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
