Hedah Family Calendar & Photos
The screen you already own
Free · In‑App Purchases
Connecting your family's devices actually works now. Link the iPad in one step, add a phone on a different Apple Account, and see everything everywhere.
Turn an iPad you already own into your family's shared screen. Plan from each iPhone and keep the day visible at home, without buying dedicated hardware.
CALENDARS YOU CHOOSE
After you grant Calendar access, choose which calendars on the device Hedah may use. Apple, Google, Outlook, Exchange, and subscribed calendars available through Apple Calendar can appear together. Assign each calendar to a family member, show full details or only Busy, and keep private calendars off the family iPad.
New events created in Hedah can be saved to a writable Apple Calendar on that device. Changes from enabled calendars are refreshed into the household view.
ONE HOUSEHOLD, MANY DEVICES
Invite family members through Apple's private CloudKit sharing. Each person can use their own iPhone and Apple Account, select the family profile that represents them, and see their own day. Send a request to one person and receive their answer back in Hedah.
THE DAY, ON THE WALL
The family iPad keeps calendars, chores, meals, groceries, and selected photos visible at home. Large controls let family members mark chores and grocery items complete. A temporary wall session also lets someone use the full app under their own profile, then clears that selection after inactivity.
ONLY THE PHOTOS YOU SEND
Choose photos with Apple's system picker and send them to the family screen. Hedah never scans or automatically imports the rest of your photo library. With your confirmation, a sent photo can be linked to a nearby calendar event and become part of the family's memory timeline.
FREE FAMILY FEATURES
• Selected calendar sources and the shared iPad display
• Chores, meals, and grocery lists
• Family profiles and private household sharing
• Direct requests and answers
• Up to 50 photos on the family screen
HEDAH PRO
• Unlimited photo history
• Claire meal and grocery suggestions
• AI meal ideas and reviewable smart drafts
• Voice quick add
AI suggestions never change household data automatically. You review a draft before it is saved.
Reaching the free photo limit only prevents additional photos from being added. Photos already sent remain available, including if a subscription ends.
One subscription covers Hedah on devices using the purchasing Apple Account. Eligible subscriptions can also be shared through Apple Family Sharing. Hedah household sharing and Apple subscription sharing are separate; family members do not need Pro to use the free household features.
PRIVACY
Core information is stored locally. Optional household sharing uses Apple's CloudKit. Photos reach the family screen only when you explicitly select and send them. Pro AI requests send the prompt and limited relevant household context to the Ylemos service and its AI provider. Hedah contains no third-party advertising trackers.
Claire provides general meal-planning ideas, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Connecting devices works now.
The previous version could not link a family's devices at all. This one can, and
there are three ways to do it, in the order the screen offers them:
- Both on the same Wi-Fi. Hedah finds the iPad on your network and connects it
directly — nothing to type, nothing to send.
- Same Apple Account. Open Hedah on the iPad, read the six digits, and enter
them on your iPhone.
- Different Apple Account. Show the iPad an invitation code and scan it, or
send the link and paste it on the other phone.
This is the one that was missing: a family member on a different Apple Account can
now join by scanning the owner's code. The invitation is a code on the owner's
screen, not a link that has to survive a trip through a chat app.
Adding and removing family members works.
You can add a profile for someone who has not set up Hedah yet, and remove one you
no longer need. A phone that joins takes a free profile automatically — it is no
longer left asking you to add something the app could not add.
Meals show whatever you planned.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner all appear. The family screen used to look only
for dinner, so a planned breakfast looked as though it had never synced.
Smaller fixes
- Chores can be deleted. They could only be added and ticked off.
- Grocery items can be deleted with a long press.
- The family screen says what it is really doing instead of "Not connected".
- Photographs you have already received stay on screen instead of saying they are
still arriving.
- Calendars you can read are switched on by default, once, on update.
- The invitation link now explains that whoever holds it can change the family's
data.
If you tried this before and gave up: the family link is a code on the owner's
screen. Nothing needs to be sent through Messages or Mail.
