Tuckaway: Hide Photos & Videos

Secret Album & Encrypted Vault

Free · In‑App Purchases

No account, ads, or tracking. Encrypt photos and videos on device, hide vaults behind passphrases, and lock sensitive folders with a PIN. Private photos and videos deserve a space built for them. Tuckaway is an encrypted private photo vault for iPhone and iPad. Protect and organize important media directly on your device without creating an account or entrusting photos to a Tuckaway server. ■ HIDDEN VAULTS THAT STAY HIDDEN Create as many passphrase-protected hidden vaults as you need. Opening your base library or another vault does not reveal their names, count, or contents. ■ AN EXTRA LOCK FOR SENSITIVE FOLDERS Set a 6-digit PIN on individual folders. A PIN-locked folder remains separately protected inside an open vault and locks again when you leave it or the app locks. ■ ORIGINAL PHOTOS, VIDEOS, AND LIVE PHOTOS Import original photos, videos, and Live Photos. Organize them with folders, favorites, and trash, browse by time, and export the originals whenever you need them. ■ SEARCH THAT STAYS ON DEVICE Search dates, file details, places, and text found inside photos on device. Photos and search content are not sent to an external AI service. ■ PRIVATE FROM THE MOMENT YOU CAPTURE Capture photos and videos directly into Tuckaway without leaving an extra copy in Photos. Scan sensitive receipts, IDs, contracts, and notes straight into a vault. ■ CAPTURE FROM YOUR LOCK SCREEN Start Tuckaway Camera from the Lock Screen, Control Center, the Action button, or Camera Control on supported iPhone models. When your iPhone is locked, the capture extension cannot access or reveal your vault. Captures are transferred through Apple's locked-camera session and encrypted by Tuckaway during import after unlock. Lock Screen capture is free. ■ PRIVACY IS THE DEFAULT No account. No ads. No tracking. No Tuckaway-operated photo server. Media is encrypted before it is stored in Tuckaway, with no readable plaintext copy left in app storage. Free includes unlimited use of the base library and up to 3 photos or videos in each hidden vault. Tuckaway Plus is a one-time purchase that permanently removes the local hidden-vault limit and unlocks the private camera and document scan. It is not a subscription, and existing media always remains viewable and exportable. Important: If you forget a hidden-vault passphrase or folder PIN, Tuckaway cannot recover it. Keep important credentials somewhere safe.

Ratings & Reviews

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• Ready for iPhone Duo: the controls move into a vertical bar along the edge of the screen, and the photo grid uses the extra width of the large display. On iPad, the grid also shows more photos per row. • Live Photos taken with the Tuckaway camera now show their location and camera details in the info sheet, and AirDrop sends them as Live Photos. • The info sheet now shows where a video was taken, for videos you import or record from now on. • HDR photos are shown with their full brightness in the viewer, and newly imported photos get HDR thumbnails in the grid. • Lock Screen camera: scan a QR code, and Tuckaway offers to open the link after you unlock. • Folder headers show the correct item count as soon as you open them. • Reliability improvements to locking and hidden-vault entry.
