New in 1.10: • Plotter-style top strip with depth, speed, distance to destination and a compass tape showing your course • Routes that keep to deep water, with distance, time and arrival while you're under way • Routes can pass bridges and cables with no published height, marked Check clearance • Satellite view with depth figures, rocks and navigation marks that stay put as you move • Smoother chart that shows grey instead of black while new areas load • Warnings no longer push the strip down

The Chart tab is now a full chart plotter for Norwegian waters. • Auto route — pick a destination and KnotMeter searches Kartverket's depth data for a way through at your boat's safety depth. It refuses rather than guesses, and tells you what it checked and what it could not. • Depth shading and soundings, with your own depth bands and your safety depth marked. • Shallow-water look-ahead that watches the water in front of the boat, not just under it. • Ships nearby — live AIS from Kystverket, with a collision warning. • Chart guide — every colour, buoy, light and symbol on the chart explained in plain English, with a Show me button. • More layers: seabed relief, bridges and cables with clearance, lights and buoys, fishing rules, fish farms, nature reserves, lake depths and Apple satellite imagery. • Waypoints, routes, tracks and GPX, anchor watch, and a man-overboard button that explains itself before you need it. • Harbour and anchorage descriptions from Den norske los, and place search. • Offline chart packs, a 3D view, and depth from your own instruments over Wi-Fi. With more than one boat, the Speed tab now shows which boat you are recording to and switches in one tap, and the leaderboard shows your name in full with the boat number beside it. Norway only. Guidance, not for navigation — the general rules of the sea always apply, and you keep the lookout.

Boat types are here. Pick what you're on — motorboat, sailboat, jetski, kayak or kite — each with its own icon on the leaderboard. • Multiple boats: switch between them from cards showing each boat's photo, type and best speed • The leaderboard now shows which of your boats set each record, so you can hold several places at once • Filter the leaderboard by country, craft type, or 5 ft size classes • New medals and a cleaner, redesigned Saved runs screen • Speeds now show km/h (or mph) under every reading — switch it in the Speed tab menu • Faster and smoother throughout
